Elegant cabin in the woods. 3 story log cabin nestled at the end of a 500 yard driveway through the woods on a hill over looking a beautiful spring fed fishing pond. Enjoy the ambiance of an abundance of wild life from both the front and two raised large back decks. Take advantage of 60 acres of land with 3 ponds. Hike through the woods and open fields. Relish in the tranquility of feeling like you are away from all civilization, but less than a mile from local restaurants, stores, and medical centers.

You are in the country so expect so. You are in the country bugs should be expected. We do have pest control. But it is on acreage. Wasp and spiders do come and go.

Wedding

We used the location to stage for our son's wedding. We hosted the rehearsal dinner there and the bridesmaids stayed with us Thursday night. The only issue we experienced was the A/C unit downstairs would not turn off. temperatures dropped to low 60's overnight downstairs. Loved the stay and location.

Spring break

Our family had a great time kayaking and fishing on the property. The house had lots of room and everything we needed. We loved sitting on the porch at the end of the day to watch the sunset. Thanks for a great stay!

Family Birthday party for 90 year old

The property was beautiful and perfect for a family gathering. Although not very handicap friendly with three floors the main floor was perfect for a large group get together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely do it again.

Aunts/Cousins Trip

This was a fabulous place! Pros - everyone had a private bath, beautiful and private location, fully stocked kitchen Cons - location and entry directions were a little vague, not enough living room or patio seating Would definitely rent again!

We felt like we were on the mountains!

The house and views were fabulous! The owner and property manager were prompt to answer our questions and went beyond to make our event memorable. The property was perfect for our family and for hosting our son’s rehearsal dinner. The children loved playing outside, and the deck area was perfect for visiting.

Out of town wedding spot

We had a wedding at Towering Oaks and had a big group of friends coming in from around the country. Dove Ranch was a great place for us to stay versus all getting hotel rooms. Clean and well taken care of, had everything we needed. Thank you!

Country log cabin

The house is great, with 3 floors for spreading out. Never felt our 8 people were in each other's way. Could use some newer pots and pans, but everything else was great.

Scenic and peacful.

Trails, fishing and kayaking. Wonderful place to disconnect and spend great time with family. Firepit by large pond, well lit at night. Good parking. Just make sure you bring a lot of bottled water. If you plan on using the barbecue pit you might want to bring a can of propened. 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths on 3 stories was perfect for extended family members. Recommend highly. Will go again.

Review of Dove Ranch

We were very disappointed in this property. Not as shown on pictures. Lock on gate was first issue. Should be told it's a clip and not a true lock and how to open it. There is a wasp issue. You have three active nests we saw and my grandson got stung by a live one in the room on the top floor. Room to the right. There were a few dead ones we found but a live one also on the floor he didn't see and stepped on and got stung. Another live one had to be killed. Needless to say I needed a five bedroom house and since after that no one wanted to sleep in that room it was not used. There were towels and linens left in the dryer that we ended up folding up. The deadbolt on the door downstairs only locks if you pull up on the door and was not easy to lock. Definitely couldn't do any kayaking or paddleboat since almost no water. Grass was very overgrown and the picture looked nothing like what's on the website. Rooms were okay but the wasp issue and the gate issue were definitely a turn off. We could see outside on some parts of the home so. Needs updated and some work done to it and I would suggest adding a hot tub for times when you have barely in water and can't kayak or paddleboat. Wasn't sure about hiking any of the property either as there were several trees down and like I said early lots of very tall not well taken care of grass and grounds. For the money paid will definitely not return to this rental.

Family eclipse trip

Comfortable cabin with plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed the sitting/visiting areas and the deck overlooking the pond. Only a couple of the party were adventurous enough to take the kayaks out on the lake but they had fun We appreciated that there was a dishwasher and washer and dryer however neither the washer or dryer was very efficient. The only safety issue we had was the stairs going to lowest floor, no stair rail for lowest set of steps. Two of our eldest (both in their early 70s) had some trouble navigating. Overall it was a great place for a few days visit

Cabin in the Woods

Great cabin in the woods. We were in the area for my daughter's wedding. It was close and met our needs. There are 5 bedrooms which was more than what we even needed. The only thing I would caution about is if you have young children like we did, the stairs are extremely dangerous. There are no spindles in the railing on the stairs. It is just a pipe railing. A Child could fall through easily to the other stairs below---it would be a long fall on wooden stairs. Also, the log railing on the overlook from from the top floor looking over into the living room does not go all the way to the floor. Our 2 year old granddaughter could have easily fit and fallen through the space. If you don't have small children, the house would be fine, but it definitely has too many opportunities for small children to get seriously hurt. It has a nice upper deck for relaxing and looking out at the pond. The kitchen is well appointed, although we were too busy and not there enough to cook anything, but there is a good little mexican restuarant right down the road.

Beautiful Property/Needs Updating

My family rented this property while attending a family wedding in Valley View. Beautiful property. Great House. VERY comfortable beds. Owner needs to replace broken recliner chairs to provide more seating in the living area. Inside stairs and balcony railings are not to code for small children or pets. We would highly recommend this property once the things above are addressed! Beautiful area!

College friends gathered for wedding

Just spent St.Patrick's day weekend at the Dove Ranch w/ friends - we came from all over the country for a big birthday/wedding weekend and the Dove Ranch was perfect ! It's rustic yet extremely comfortable, the kitchen is VERY well equipped, beds are comfortable and the outside spaces were perfect for us all to gather. We loved the fire pit, the outside decks, the layout was perfect to gather our entire group in w/ space for all! Would definitely recommend. Little things like have an Alexa so could play music- made it perfect! We had a couple issues but the property managers were extremely responsive. Never could get the tv room set up to work ( missing remote & would not sync w/ a phone) but otherwise everything was terrific!

Great property and overall experience

House was great, beds and sheets were so comfortable, my wife was already trying to find them online to replace ours. Kids caught lots of fish in the pond....big ones! Everything worked as advertised. Big screen was awesome! Very nice stay. Only downside, some construction issues...home is not water tight and there is evidence of water intrusion. Upstairs bathroom not grouted or sealed in any way. A small amount of water on the floor from the shower will result in leaks into the half bath below. This didn't create any issues for us but would be very easy for guests to inadvertently damage the property and general water intrusion could cause guest-related issues down the road, including mold. Just something of which to stay cognizant. Oh, lastly, I saw the largest Coyote I have ever seen walking across the property. Waaaay cool!

Great for Groups!

Love the fact this house had so many bathrooms! Perfect for large groups! The kayaks and paddle boat on the private pond was the highlight of our trip! The kids/teens loved it! The outdoor balcony was perfect for the adults to relax and watch the kids play! We will be back!

Wonderful Wedding weekend

Our family came into town for my Nephew’s Wedding. We really enjoyed your rustic cabin and fishing in your pond. We also loved watching the UGA football game on your big screen TV.
