Private Massanutten home - NOON checkout. Btwn waterpark/slopes. Close to JMU

This home is perfect for families of 8 or less (8 adults max); or groups of 2 or 3 couples. Located w/in the Massanutten resort and convenient to all the resort activities. Almost 2000 sq ft with plenty of gathering space on the main level and in the lower level gameroom/ bunk room. A nice size deck opens out to wooded backyard which joins a short walking trail.
King bed in Master, Queen bed in room #2, Queen bed in room #3, and bedroom #4 doubles as a game room and features Twin bunked beds and it’s own full bath. All brand new mattresses Jan 2021. There is a spare twin mattress under the bunk beds.
Super comfortable leather power-recliner sofa in main den. Additional couch in game room. Video game systems currently include Wii, Playstation3, and a full size arcade classic game console. A gas grill and new deck furniture have been added Feb '21 for your outdoor enjoyment. In the garage there is a foosball table, a beanbag toss game, and still plenty of room to park.
Be advised, our family has a cat who occasionally stays at the house. Please let me know if anyone in your group is allergic.

Birthday trip

We stayed here during a friend’s birthday trip and really enjoyed the house. It was a perfectly sized house. We loved the fireplace and games. It wasn’t far from the slopes and dining which was also a plus.

Michelle is an excellent host with a lovely home

Michelle was incredibly accommodating with us as we had flexible last minute plans. The house was great, very comfortable and cozy. Had everything we needed and great for kids of all ages. Would for sure stay again.

Jmu Grad weekend

We stayed for graduation weekend and enjoyed a celebratory dinner in this cozy home that was well stocked with everything we needed. Back and worth to JMU for the different events was super easy. Beds were super comfortable, place was clean and it was a perfect fit for what we needed:)

Better than a hotel

This house was perfect for 2 families visiting their JMU students for parent's weekend. It was a very easy drive to Harrisonburg and was accurately described on the website. Having a kitchen was so convenient for preparing food for our tailgate. House was very clean and well stocked. Would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely Home!

This house was perfect for 2 families! It was clean and spacious, with a great layout that made it just as easy to be all together as it was to have some space and privacy too. The accessible location within Massanutten is right in between the biggest attractions, with restaurants and groceries a short drive away. Michelle was a fabulous host. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful!

The house was wonderful! Clean and welcoming! Perfect for our family stay. With teens we loved the video game options and as adults we loved the throw back arcade games. Lots of little extras. Close distance to all things. Perfect.

A Great Get Away

The property was very warm and comfortable. I would recommend a detail dusting and working TV’s in each bedroom. The TV in the downstairs needed antenna as noted on screen. We could not get reception on TV downstairs. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect!

We love this house! Close to everything Massanutten minutes to Harrisonburg. Very very clean:) Teens and adults loved the games in the lower level! Kitchen was fully equipped. All the beds are comfortable:) We will be back! Wood FamilyTrail out the back was nice to explore close to home. Checking out at 12 noon was a big bonus! Thank you for accommodating our last minute getaway Michelle:)

Perfect for JMU Graduation extended family

We were bringing several family members to JMU graduation and this great home was a far better and more comfortable arrangement than getting several expensive hotel rooms. There was plenty of space for a get-together, and the vintage Pizza Hut style video game console was a nice bonus for the Gen X adults while the college kids played cornhole. The kitchen was solid, though if there was a toaster for the bagels we brought we couldn't find it (we put them in the oven). The Kuerig was a far more important and appreciated appliance, so no complaints there. Note that the 4th "bedroom" is a fairly open area downstairs that is also the game room, with a bunk bed and the option of an extra mattress on the floor, but it was fine for our teens. The other three bedrooms were great. The owner was very responsive so all our questions had been answered (quickly) before we arrived. Five Stars.

Pumpkin and Apple Picking Weekend

The home was perfect for our family. We were seven (3 kids and 4 adults). Sister and I loved our evening duals of Ms. Pac Man. Took us back! Roku TV allowed us to log in to our various streaming services. Group took a nighttime walk in the woods and lots of time was spent on the back porch reading, enjoying the mountain air and watching the dear. It so inspired my sister that when she got home she threw out her old deck furniture and purchased a new set. The personal touches were evident throughout the home’s furnishings. The towels, rugs, shower curtains, wall hangings and bedding all matched and flowed beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked with dish-ware that was simple yet elegant, all matching and in abundance. We had four cars and parking was more than sufficient. Thank you for sharing your home.

Clean and Great location!

We booked this house last minute for the Thanksgiving holiday due to a family emergency. We had our extended family with multiple age ranges from 2-47 years of age. The house was very clean and had all the “house essentials” to allow us to cook meals for a large group. If you are planning on leaving the resort frequently to explore the surrounding area, the location is great with easy access to the many amenities throughout the resort and easy access out to the main road. Other houses located towards the ski slopes add an addition 8+ minutes (one way) to get in/out of the resort. The host provided great communication via the VRBO application message portal and clear instructions were posted at the house on expectations. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing a few box fans or using your phone for white noise. The main bedroom had a sound machine which we loved! And the box fan helped others rest peacefully while others were awake in the living room. There were plenty of extra linens and a full washing machine which was helpful for multi families. I look forward to staying here again for future family get togethers!

Great place and host

The place was exactly as it was in the pictures. Ms.Michelle was sure to give lots of good information as well as she was awesome with communication for the few questions I did have while there, but because she was informative before our arrival we didn’t need to bother her too much. The home was very clean and perfect for our 1st family vacation. The only complaint we had was not enough hot water we had a family of 8 and some of us had to either take a cold shower or wait til the morning, which we never mentioned or complained about. Other than that the place was perfect I would definitely recommend staying here and would most definitely consider staying again during our next vacation to Massanutten.

Family reunion get together

The house was exactly as described. Beds were wonderful. Had some trouble with the AC but Michelle immediately got back to us and explained what we needed to do. The AC worked perfectly after our conversation. Would love to stay here again if I ever get back to Massanutten.

Excellent hideaway

The property was just as described and in the heart of the resort. It has a fully functioning kitchen, comfortable beds, great outdoor space and the games were a great added bonus.

Mom’s Birthday Getaway

The pictures didn’t do this house Justice, everything was beautiful and our needs were overly met! The personal welcome message and Birthday shout out to my mom on the chalkboard wall was priceless. When I return to massanutten I will be staying here again!

Wonderful getaway weekend!

My family of 5 stayed here with my best friends family of 4 for a getaway weekend! The basement area was perfect for the kids to hang out while the adults were upstairs. It was plenty spacious and very clean. Towels were plush and felt nice! Lots of storage space in the kitchen pantry. We also really enjoyed using the gas fireplace after snowtubing and ice skating :) Would definitely return to this property. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great house

The house was perfect for our family-4 adults and 3 teens. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook Christmas dinner. Michelle was the perfect host - very responsive to our inquiries and needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our two families

This house was perfect for our two families. There were nine of us including five teens. The downstairs was great for the kids to hang out while the adults visited upstairs. It was clean and well-equipped. I would stay here again and recommend. Thanks.
