It worked for what we were looking for but it is an older house which is something to keep in mind. Overall, we had a good stay and it fit 5 kids and 4 adults without any issues.

we enjoy the stays！clean and good location

The house is so beautiful and clean. There is even a play area with toys and games，which our kids loves it！The location is good too，super close to Massanutten water park.

Great property and location for JMU graduation

Our family of 5 stayed at the Gingerbread Cottage for 3 nights to celebrate our daughter's college graduation from JMU. The location was ideal as it was not far from Harrisonburg and close to restaurants. We had fun at Cave Hill Brewery, which was close and had great meals at Thunderbird Cafe (breakfast) and Hank's (great bbq dinner). We highly recommend staying at this property and would return if in the area again.

Great stay!

We loved our stay at the Gingerbread House! The kids especially loved hanging out in the loft area. We played board games and enjoyed each others company. We visited Luray Caverns and hiked in Shenandoah. Great time Overall!

Fun and Cozy Getaway

We had a fantastic stay at the Gingerbread House! It was perfect for our family. The place was incredibly clean, which made us feel comfortable and at home. The kids loved the variety of games available, keeping them entertained. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it for families looking for a cozy and fun getaway.

Wonderful!

The house, or should I say the chalet had everything we needed. The proximity to the ski area, only 5 minutes, was amazing. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Loved every minute of our stay.

Everything was perfect

I booked it for my brother’s family. The house was just as pictured. Very clean, comfortable and definitely will come back to stay there.

Perfect getaway

We had a great time at the gingerbread house. The house has all the kitchen utensils you need and some welcoming extras. The cabin location is close enough to restaurants, grocery stores and wineries but far enough from the main road. You can’t go wrong with the gingerbread house.

Great for small groups

Our group really enjoyed the house. It was clean when we got there and everything was prepped for us from bed sheets to having dishwasher detergent and other small things that aren’t usually provided. Would definitely stay there again. House has its own charm and is great for those looking for a relaxed getaway somewhere rural.

Great house for our family!

We had a family get together over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to visit Massanutten and the water park. The house work out perfect for us, the kids loved the loft and having their own space. The house worked great for us.

Great spot for Grad trip!

My family and I stayed at The Gingerbread House for my brothers graduation from JMU. House is exactly as pictured and described. It’s a perfect and cozy home for family. There were two living areas we could spread out and a perfect little dining room for family meals. The hosts had these cute little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash set up and plenty of linens. Really lovely stay.

Very clean - good for families

We had a great time here. Master bedroom is great and has a good mattress. Back deck is peaceful. Several Roku TVs around the house. And various games for the kids were found in the loft which was a nice touch.

Great Location

Visited the area for my nephews weeding at a local Vineyard. House was just as the description said it was. Location was great. Close to town and a quiet drive through the Shenandoah National Park. Even through JMU had a football game it was easy to get around town, no crazy crowds

Nice house at a great location

Had a great time. The house is located in a resort community so plenty of fun things to do. It’s also twenty minutes from Shenandoah National Park entrance. We went there several times and really enjoyed the hiking trails in the park. House is clean and Scott very nice and quick to our questions. WiFi is also very convenient as we needed to work from the house for some time.

All Taken Care of by Owners and Management

The property is very nice, matching the descriptions and actually the house design is better than the pictures can show. Great location on the mountain. Everything was in place so we could quickly and easily grab the key, unpack and go straight to enjoying some family time! Thanks!

Very nice and cozy!

Overall experience was really good. Price is reasonable and the cottage was very cozy and location is great. We had all amenities needed. If I was to make any complaint, the only downside is that at night time, it got really cold inside the bedrooms. Upgrading the windows would make this little place just perfect!
