Das Bierschwale is located just one street off of Fredericksburg's Historic Main Street. Perfect for a family or a couple's weekend. This private guesthouse has all the comforts of home. Relax after a long day of sightseeing and read a book in the comfortable living area. Das Bierschwale also has a full kitchen and a lovely dining room if you want to cook a full breakfast or enjoy a romantic dinner in. The two bedrooms are beautifully decorated in contemporary country décor.

Perfect location.

Perfect location and clean house. Will rent again. We walked a short distance to dinner both nights. Very relaxing with local wine by the outdoor Firepit

Great place, great location

The house was clean and spacious, with all of the amenities needed. Also had a nice backyard for relaxing outside. Great location -- within town limits, but in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mom & daughter trip with an 18 month old to visit for Christmas. The property is close to most everything and we enjoyed visiting HEB a few times and eating at the house. Quaint dishware, very cute, lots of thought put into the overall feel of this cute cottage.

Perfect Delight

What a precious cottage….cheerful, pristinely clean, and tastefully decorated. Close to downtown. Home is a well cared for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!

Great for girl's weekend!

Stayed here with a girlfriend while in town to celebrate our friend's birthday! Cute house, great location! The ladies at Fredericksburg Escapes were wonderful to work with and so fun to talk to! We will definitely be back!

Offered us extra day at the beginning and end of our trip. Unfortunately we weren’t able to take advantage of the deals. Easy check in/out.

Getaway

We loved the location, just 1 block from the downtown. There’s a lot to see downtown and it’s all walkable. I would have loved reading about the history of the house - that’s about my only suggestion.

Fredericksburg girls weekend

Overall, good experience. The house was clean & the beds were very comfortable. The location is just off Main but a pretty good walking distance from the main shopping area. It was nice and quiet at night & there was convenient & ample parking in the back of the house. The house had everything we needed for just a couple nites (there were 3 of us), but a dishwasher would be a nice addition. The office communication leading up to our stay was very good. Appreciated receiving all the necessary details in advance along with complete check out instructions. Thank you!

Cute, clean cottage

It was a quiet spot close to Main St. to land at the end of our busy days with a lovely outdoor spot to have coffee in the morning and hang out at the end of the day. We used the main bedroom for sleeping and used the 2nd bedroom like a dressing room.

Quaint and quiet

Check in was easy! The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, despite being only one block off of noisy Main Street. Very good for a weekend stay, and if the weather is nice it’s within walking distance of everything on Main. I would suggest to the owners that washcloths are needed, but other than that we had no other needs that weren’t supplied while there.

Location Location and my preferences

Loved the location as we walked everywhere. Wanted to use the fire pit but didn’t get a chance. House is decorated in antiques which I thought fun and interesting. However it had a musty smell which could come from no fan in bathroom and after a shower it was very damp daily. I would have given 5 stars had there been a nice comfy couch because at the end of the day I just wanted to sprawl out and watch a movie with the family. The stuffed chairs in living room were more comfortable than that loveseat. Mattresses wern’t the greatest either but I may just be picky about that because it’s the spring (coils) kind.i appreciated the supplied coffee and good creamer.. I’d rent the same place again.

4th of July in Fredericksburg!

Spent the long weekend out in Fredericksburg to celebrate the 4th and do some wine tasting. Took in the parade and spent time in Johnson City, Hye and local. Great location which was a block off the main drag and made our stay super efficient and fun. We had planned on doing some cooking and we definitely could've with all the kitchenware but we ended up just being too tired after tastings so we just grabbed local food down the street. The AC worked great, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Clean house and we really enjoyed the ability to park off the street. Next time we head to Fredericksburg, we're going to check to see if this house is available. For the price, solid deal and checked all the boxes!

Rent something else

Mom and daughter weekend guests; house is in great location but poorly provisioned and needs pest control. I’ve rented hundreds of properties all over the state and in this area previously. I do NOT recommend Fredericksburg Escapes. I would not cook in this home. The advertised Hot Tub is a dirty old hot tub in a creepy shed with exposed wiring and NOT inviting in any way. Mice droppings in house and roaches in Kitchen made staying here a bit stressful. Luckily we had so much to do if Fredericksburg we only slept here. This is a 1 star at best and I’m giving it 2 based only on location and the HCAV works.
