Perfect location!

We had a great get away! The location was great! We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. We also enjoyed the outside porch to relax in the evening.

Nice home with plenty of space. Lots of towels and a washer and dryer. Two nice bathrooms and plenty of privacy from the Main Street. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was beautiful with large trees and enclosed from the street with a fence and gate and was very quiet. The kitchen, living room, primary bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The guest bedrooms with a bathroom were bathroom clean and spacious also. I loved the rustic kitchen table and all of the nice furnishings. Also, loved drinking coffee on the porch. All the shops on Main Street were right around the corner. We'll definitely stay again!!

This place was Perfect. It is right off main street and we had a wonderful stay! It is decorated very nicely and it is very comfortable. I hope to come back soon. I recommend guests that enjoy live music check out Maggie’s at the Emigrant hotel

The house was beautiful with lovely furnishings. It was exceptionally clean. It is a perfect location being about a block from Main Street downtown making it within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Last night which was our first night there we found multiple bed bugs in our bed. We had to pack everything up in trash bags at 1am and leave. We were unable to find a hotel room available so we had no other choice than to drive all the way back to Dallas in the middle of the night and didn’t get home till 6am. It was absolutely awful! I am still waiting on them to refund my money.

We’re very sorry that you experienced this during your stay. Unfortunately, bed bugs are an issue that can be introduced by a previous guest and are beyond our control, and they can be extremely difficult to detect before a guest reports an issue. Once we were notified, we immediately had the home professionally treated by a licensed pest control company. We also processed a full refund for your stay. We take these situations very seriously and acted promptly once the issue was brought to our attention.

Our stay at The Oaks on Main was perfect. If, or should I say WHEN I go back, this will be the first place I check for availability. We enjoyed everything about the home. The beds were so comfortable! Not one complaint. The host was able to answer all our questions. If there was anything, I'd like to have run the dishwasher, but couldnt find the dishwasher detergent! How's that for a complaint!!! This is the BAR In Vrbo rentals folks! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Oaks on Main is awesome!

We are high school friends, class of 67' This is our third stay at this property. We absolutely love it! It is spacious and beautifully decorated. The grounds are lovely and the privacy fence is a big plus. We thank Gastehaus Schmidt for taking care of the arrangements.

We rented two properties a block from one another. Our towels, hand towels and wash cloths were sour smelling at the smaller rental. The other rental had AC issues could not keep up w heat. 79 in main living area of house. Sheets left in dryer upon arrivalLeft over food in fridge upon arrival Parking, someone/neighbor moved my 2000.00 bike I was using for my race. Outdoor chairs very dirty/dustyCookware was questionable to cook in, rust in bottom of pans and pots No knife setOnly 1 roll paper towels A/C inadequateHard to find washing machine detergent.Front room too hot to enjoyNeighbors have flood lights on all night and lights up master bedroom even with blinds shutNeeds a deep cleanCleaning supplies in same cabinet as food Oven dirty/smoked up kitchen. No dishwashing pods or dishwasher detergent avail to wash a load.

The location was within walking distance of shops and museums. The kitchen was well stocked, but FYI , the wine opener was broken. It would have been great to have a blender also. The property feels very safe and it’s outside porch is nice for enjoying the weather and snacks. The inside is clean and the decor is nice. The front back bedroom roof was loud when it rained, but the other bedrooms were quiet. The living room was extremely comfortable. Check-in and check-out was so easy. I would definitely recommend this property .

All great, only small issue we had gate didn’t stay open long enough to have my friend pull in and gate slightly scraped car door. Well stocked, so easy access to Main Street- thanks for coffee and snacks. Only had one package snacks but plenty of coffee. Thank you
