Bear's Den is an exceptional clean, quiet, one bedroom unit with great mountain & lake views. Private parking right outside your door. Enjoy your private deck or join me on the main deck. Bear's Den is very well equipped with a full size Nova Foam King Bed, Keurig coffee pot, microwave and mini-frig. There are real mugs, enough coffee & tea for your entire stay, flatware, paper plates, & much more to make this the idea place to come home to after exploring all Montana has to offer. You are close to lakes, rivers and mountains, and historic downtown Helena. There is a variety of wildlife right outside the door. This room is less expensive & much nicer than rooms in town.

Thanks for a great getaway. The location of the property on the lake is beautiful and was perfect for our fishing adventures. Kathi is a great host and we hope to visit again

This was the perfect spot to land for a visit to Helena. It was a quiet area, with beautiful views and just a 20 minute drive to the main city of Helena. The space was extremely clean, and Kathi was very accommodating. It was great getting to chat with her during my first night in over dinner at a nearby restaurant. Oreo, her rescue kitty, was adorable! What a great spot to stay!

Great location

Thank you for a great stay. Room with a very was perfect for our weekend getaway. The studio was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you could imagine. The views of Canyon Ferry Lake are outstanding. You have a little piece of Heaven here. Thank you Kathi

Quiet and Serene

Kathi is amazing, make sure you get introduced to Oreo. King size bed was comfortable. Close enough to Helena, but just far enough to unwind at the end of the day with a lake view.

More than expected.

Kathy's room with a view is great! The space is extremely well done, very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed waking up to overlooking the lake while sitting on the porch. Kathy is a great host, and exceeded our expectations of our stay as she took us for a boat ride to revisit some memories my husband had as a child. Kathy's house is about 20 minutes to Helena so you have the conveniences of the city with being removed which we prefer. You must take the short drive to York to have a great hamburger in an eclectic bar. We would and will definitely stay here again

Very Nice!

This is a clean, airy, mother-in-law's suite with one large room, a bathroom, and a nice walk in closet. The only thing that I noted as lacking is the fact that there was no Wi-Fi and given its location in the valley, cell signal is not strong enough for hot-spot usage. If you are just looking for a place to sleep at night, this is a great spot, if you are hoping to get work done online, this might not be the best spot for you. I would absolutely stay again.

Perfect

I highly recommend! My best friend and I visited the area to go mining for a couple days. We wish we would have had enough energy to stay awake at night to enjoy the deck more, but we did enjoy our time talking to Kathi in the mornings before we headed out for the day. If you want to take a swim, there's a great little beach across the street that you can walk down to... Just make sure to have swim shoes, as the rock is pretty rough to walk on. The closest place to eat is less than a minute from here and the bacon jam burger was to die for! Kathi's place is very clean and comfortable. Honestly couldn't have picked a better place. We will 100% be back!!

Highly recommend

Kathi’s place is ideal for a truly private room stay. The room access and parking is perfect, as it is located near the end of the wrap around deck, and parking is mere feet from the door. Kathi is very hospitable and loves to visit but is also very respectful of her guests privacy. We had a nice chat on her welcoming deck over drinks and she gave us a little tour of her beautiful home. The room was spotless, nicely decorated and the bed was SUPER comfortable. I also particularly loved the shower! She encouraged us to enjoy her deck, and we sure did. One evening, my husband and I sat on the couch and enjoyed the view of the lake and night sky and the hooting owls, all while staying cozy under her electric blanket. I also enjoyed spending some time with her sweet, friendly cat.

Communication was excellent from time of booking, to check in and beyond. The room was clean, quiet, and beautifully designed. No stairs to navigate despite being on the second floor as parking spot is elevated. The bed is large and comfortable, there is a small sitting area, mini fridge and microwave, a few dishes, and extra blankets. You have a beautiful lake view from the chairs outside. The boat ramp for boating/fishing/lake recreation is just a few minutes away. There is a restaurant 1-2 minutes away with good food and a lake view. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive to Helena for supplies. The host/home owner is very accommodating and helpful if you have questions or have special requests. We needed extra parking for our boat and host went above and beyond to help us and is very knowledgeable about the area and the lake. Highly recommend

Kathy is an amazing host! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome not only as a guest but more as a friend. The location and view made it easy for lake access and moments to just sit and reflect on the beauty God made in nature. Canyon Ferry has always been my favorite lake and I will be back.

After many years of coming to Canyon Ferry on weekends, I bought the property my dad had been renting since 2005. It had a 1963 untitled double-wide mobile home on it. In October of 2018, I scrapped the property & started anew. I designed my "Swedish, Beachy," home to be practical & flexible. I wanted it to be able to meet a variety of needs as life changes. With the help of some very talented people, my home exceeds everything I could have imagined.

THE VIEWS!!! I never tire of the views as they change through the seasons. For an overhead view of the area, check out "CANYON FERRY ICE SKATERS" on YouTube. On January 16, 2019, we were on the subfloor of the second story watching those skaters. The lake had frozen 2 days before. They were skating on 2" of ice.

Having done some traveling, I know what I like in a vacation rental. I want you to be able to slow down, unwind, relax, and have a stress-free vacation. Your comfort is very important to me. I provide an inviting space which is well-equipped for your enjoyment. The NovaFoam king bed is so comfy that several people purchased one for their home. Costco should give me a commission. Our well is excellent, so no need for bottled water. I am involved in every cleaning to ensure the unit meets my standards & exceeds yours.
