Enjoy a Pocono Mountains Retreat

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Covid-19 precautions, guests must bring their own sheets/linens and towels. We can provide information for a local linen service that can supply these items to you for an additional fee.

Our Pocono Mountains retreat is a quiet, cozy and clean 3 bedroom, 2 full bath townhome that sleeps up to 8 people and is located in the Laurelwoods development at Big Boulder in Lake Harmony, PA. This up to date and beautifully decorated home has something for everyone. Enjoy a hot or cold beverage (depending on the season) on the back deck as you take in the breathtaking Big Boulder Mountain and a seasonal view of the beautiful 175-acre lake. We're conveniently located near many attractions that offer family fun for all four seasons.

Cozy townhome in the heart of Big Boulder Lake

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5. The house was very cozy and well kept. The only downside was the some of the rules associated with the lake club. You get access to the lake but you can’t fish unless you rent a boat. Also kayak and paddle boards and use of the tennis court at the lake club is all extra costs not included in the access. It’s not a deal breaker but things that would have been good to know in advance! This was a great place and we would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful cozy spot for smaller group

We really loved this clean, updated, well appointed townhome in Laurelwoods. As with other units in this neighborhood, there is not a lot of spreading out space in the common areas. We ate on the deck as often as we could, which was absolutely gorgeous, since we wanted to eat together and kitchen would not accomodate 7 adults on the days when our young adult children could join us. Bar stools are provided, but sitting without a seatback was not comfortable - maybe with kids in the group that would work. The kitchen had everything we needed/wanted and I appreciate that since I do a lot of cooking on vacation. The photos are exactly what you will find in the home...but I will add that the road you see off the deck is an access road and we never saw a car driving that way - it's very peaceful and quiet. The owner was super responsive and answered a couple of questions right away. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming at the Lake Club and used the tennis courts in the neighborhood daily. I would HIGHLY recommend this clean and updated spot - and would only hesitate if you are planning to come with 8 adult guests.

Home Away From Home

This was by far, one of the best vacations that I’ve had in a few years. Our host was absolutely amazing and very responsive to our questions/concerns. The house was very clean, spacious, and was decorated very nicely. There was also a very kind neighbor named Gary who also works at the lake club (which was a gorgeous site). Gary took us fishing was always there if we had a question he was all around a great guy and made the trip that much better. I would definitely come back again !

Last minute vacation

Had a great time! My two college age sons were available for a quick get away with Mom and Dad, so on very short notice we were looking for a place to stay. The owner of this condo was great in responding to us on such short notice. Her place was lovely and perfect for the four of us!

A wonderful experience

This home is beautifully decorated in a fantastic community. The lake club had everything my kids wanted or needed, the property was clean and easy to access. Plenty to do in the community and a short drive to all the activities and locations between Lake Harmony, Jim Thorpe, and Boulder Field. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Martin Luther King weekend

This property was amazing. Very clean and well decorated. Super spacious, we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Perfect location, close to restaurants and sight seeing. Unfortunately, Big Boulder/Jack Frost snow tubing was not available. We drove to Blue Mountain to snow tube, it was nice because it gave us a scenic tour of the Poconos. We had a snow storm while there. The home owner was able to text me and give me up to date information regarding the storm and the usual proceedings that occur by the development's Home Owner's association. We had a great time and definitely would love to return to this property!!

Excellent, exactly as advertised

What you see on the website and what you learn from the various documents from the owner, is exactly what you will get. Perfect way to ski and relax. And really pretty. We had three people with ample space for each. Fitting six into the living space would require a lot of togetherness - actually perfect if the goal is to bring people together, but not if the goal is for individuals to have their own space and time. Overall 100% recommended!

Peaceful place

Our stay was a peaceful well needed getaway. It was a change from our busy city lifes and an amazing start to the holiday season, especially while watching the snow flurries fall over lthe property. This property is definitely on our list to revisit in the future.

Beautiful, Comfortable, but not exactly lakefront

The home itself was clean and beautiful. Well decorated with cute quotes and other decor. Living room and dining area is comfortable but a little small for 8 people. We were fine with 5. Beds were comfy and showers had good water pressure. The lake is very close but this property does NOT overlook the lake. The trees outside are beautiful but unless it’s winter with no leaves on the trees you can’t see the lake. Activities on the lake were limited since the club was closed - but it was beautiful with the fall colors!

Great place to stay!

Stayed with my family: 6 adults and 1 two year old. Property was just as described. Owner was easy to get ahold of. Would highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing and quite

Great House

We enjoyed our stay here extremely! The house was very clean and had everything we needed, if not more. Very beautiful place in a great area to take a walk or just sit in the balcony and enjoy the morning coffee while listening to the birds. There is alot to do in the area within about 20 min drive, we went zip lining, utvs, horseback riding, enjoyed the sunset by the lake. It was a very relaxing vacation and this home was perfect for relaxing with outdoor sitting (although I wished the outdoor furniture was cleaned, I had to wipe them off), and the big jetted tub was wonderful. Definitely plan on visiting again and will be bringing our kids which we felt thisbwould be very accommodating for our kids as well.

Great stay

The weather was cold and rainy, the condo was a nice, cozy retreat and super close to Pocono Raceway for my husband's event. When the sun came out, the kids loved the heated pool at the club.

A touch of home in the middle of the Poconos

This property is one of the BEST values in the Poconos. Not only is it priced right, the amenities and location are ideal. The vibe is ideal for families with a fantastic fireplace for those cold nights and deck for summer entertaining. Amenities: The house is great for families looking for a getaway. Not only are there three rooms; the master suite has a King Size bed and one of the rooms has bunk beds. As a bonus, the living room couch does pull out into a sofa bed. In addition, the there are two full size bathrooms, including a fantastic Jacuzzi in the Master bathroom. The deck is welcoming for a small group (ie up to six) with a working outdoor firepit and barbeque. You can clearly see Big Boulder Lake from the deck or back windows. The House has been recently updated with New Appliances, Furniture, Carpeting, Paint. It’s almost like stepping into a new house. What sets this place apart is you pretty much have everything you need for a week with the family (Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Cleaning Supplies and enough Cookware to make meals for a week morning/noon/night) Location: The location is right on Big Boulder Lake about 20 minutes northeast of Jim Thorpe and next door to Lake Harmony. It’s close to major Ski Slopes (Big Boulder & Jack Frost) as well as two miles away from Pocono Raceway. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Love this place!!!

Cozy, warm, clean, fantastic location. We had 7 adults, extremely comfy in the space and sleeping. The owner was amazing and so accommodating after we realized we needed linens once we arrived. I would highly recommend this place!

Cozy and Inviting

Loved this property. It was so cozy and inviting. Plenty of space for the whole family to hang out in. Kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to cook with. You could see Big Boulder from the deck. Very Convenient to Big Boulder and Jack Frost Mountains. Kim was a great host and very quick to respond to any questions we had. Would love to stay at this property again in the future. Thanks Kim for sharing your property with us!
