The property was fantastic! the views were amazing from the property! Michelle communicated very well with us and took care of us. The road to the property was pretty rugged - make sure your vehicle can handle some off-roading. Definitely would recommend!

Excellent place to rest and re-set. Mike and Michelle are excellent hosts. Plan to take one of their guided tours on their ATV - an amazing experience. Excellent communication and help all throughout our stay. Thanks for everything.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the seclusion & quiet of the location. As with any place in Big Bend, you must be prepared to drive! Michelle was great at communicating with us…..we truly appreciated that. ie…She reminded us of last stop for groceries is Alpine & where we would lose service in our travels. Michelle & Mark have a great welcome book that covers everything!!! One tiny thing - NOT a complaint - that could be a little better is the shower pressure. Otherwise, everything was great, clean, in working order & comfy. Oh, and plenty of extra blankets - I’m naturally cold & appreciated that.

We had an amazing stay at this VRBO home. The description was completely accurate, and the property was even more impressive in person. Everything was spotless, well‑kept, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable.One of the highlights was the setting — we saw so much wildlife right around the property, which made the mornings and evenings feel extra special. At night, the stars were absolutely beautiful, with clear skies that made stargazing unforgettable. It added a peaceful, magical touch to our stay.We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and nature‑filled getaway with a truly wonderful host.

My favorite part about this rental was how welcoming Michelle and Mark were. They made sure we did not need anything. We enjoyed the hot tub one evening which was nice after a day of hiking . The house is well equipped for cooking meals. We really enjoyed the time we spent in the house. The kids enjoyed playing with Chula the owners dog!!!

We had a very nice trip to Big Bend National Park and the property we stayed at was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely recommend this property. The host communicated very well with us and they were also on the property for any questions. The hot tub was a bonus for us after our day hikes.

It is in a lovely remote area. We got to see mule dear, birds, rabbits, and even a black bear!! I knew it was a long drive back Terlingua ranch Rd, but everyone should be prepared to drive slow and it takes about 30 minutes from the main Hwy Texas 118. So if you don’t have many days it’s quite a drive to do everyday if you want to go to the Parks. The place has plenty of outdoor sitting on every side to stay cool. The hot tub heats very slow and is at a new spot, but we enjoyed it the second night. It is best for a group of 4, and we had 6 so it was a little tight in the house, but I knew that and we made it work. We tried to use water sparingly but we had plenty. We didn’t get to do the ATV rides as Mark and Michelle weren’t home during our stay which was the main reason I chose this home so check about that first before booking if this is important to you. The kids enjoyed corn hole and swam in the nearby pool one morning. We probably will choose closer to Big Bend National Park next time we get to visit this area, but we did enjoy the quiet this place offered!! Clean up and check out were extremely easy!! Thank you!!

Our information clearly states the distances and the 3 mile well traveled dirt road (we drive a Toyota Venza on it). It also indicates to schedule ahead for excursions. No one has control over how long a hot tub takes to heat.

We had the BEST trip to Casa de Chiles. The check-in process was extremely easy since our hosts had communicated with us ahead of time. The location is stunning and the amenities on property were perfect for a family enjoying a trip to Big Bend. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking in the area!

Our stay was wonderful. Thanks to our wonderful hosts we had everything we needed for the week. The house was just the right size. We loved the view of the mountains and all the wonderful wildlife that come to this sanctuary in the desert. Looking forward to returning when we can get on the calendar.

We originally planned a family trip, but my daughter had to cancel last minute, so it was just my husband and me. It all worked out as a perfect little 26th anniversary trip. We stayed on the property the entire time and enjoyed a late afternoon dip in the hot tub. We had a wonderful time together stargazing and watching all the wildlife. We saw so many birds, javalinas, deer, and even got to see 3Paws the bear. It was a new moon, so we took some amazing photos of the stars. The hosts were wonderful and we'd definitely love to visit again asap.
