Lantana Guest House in Old Town Port A - 3 blocks to the beach, food, and music!

The Lantana Guest House is a charming studio type apartment with a full kitchen, full bathroom, a queen size bed, sofa, and small dining table. The yard is fenced with a large pergola just outside the door and a hot tub on my deck, both of which you are free to use. Pet friendly (in fact, I have a dog that is occasionally in the backyard, and will definitely want to meet you). Plenty of off street parking. Very walkable and the beach and best night life within a few blocks.

The listing price includes the 7% hotel / lodging tax which I will pay to the City of Port Aransas.

Visitor BEWARE!! We had such high hopes based on reviews. Either the place has gone downhill or past visitors are completely unobservant. The shower doesn’t drain, there’s mold in the sink, mold in the refrigerator door seals, the cabinets are filthy and, most concerning, there’s black mold on the HVAC vents. The hot tub also had excessive, concerning white foam after using the jets and cameras directly pointed at it that were not disclosed prior to booking, as required by VRBOs privacy requirements. The musty smell should have been our first sign something was amiss but we figured it was the “beach” smell. We were out at the beach all day and night so, unfortunately, we didn’t notice said issues until the next morning. Otherwise, we would have left immediately. We didn’t feel comfortable addressing the host in person at check out because the condition is so poor, we didn’t feel like they would be receptive. Instead, we contacted customer service same day. We requested a refund due to the unhealthy condition of the property but they are still waiting on a response from the host. It’s been almost three weeks now with no response from the host. We had congestion that cleared within hours after leaving the property. We had to thoroughly clean and wash all our belongings to prevent bringing mycotoxins home to our kids. The condition of the property is a true health hazard, especially for those with lung or immune issue. We are still expecting a response from the host via CS.

Great place to stay

Property was nice and cozy. The location was great with plenty of places close by to include the beach. The hot tub was a great plus. Highly recommended.

Relaxing time

This property was quaint with the fenced-in back yard very nice for privacy. The backyard provided a very relaxing sitting area complete with beautiful landscaping. Mark, the host provided timely information for our check in and was available if needed. The location was centrally located allowing for short walk to the beach, as well as to local restaurants. We had a wonderful time and were very happy with our stay.

Guest house

Very relaxing stay , bed was super comfortable and guest house was super cozy .The best part of our stay was the hot tub ! It was amazing and very relaxing. The owner was very nice !

Wonderful!

We wanted a short quiet getaway to a beach with our dog and this was perfect! Cute studio that doesn't have all the high end stuff but has just about everything you need to relax and enjoy in comfort.The host met us upon arrival to make sure we were settled then made sure we had everything we needed.We walked the easy 3 blocks, with our dog, to the wonderful beach many times a day, great neighborhood. Numerous restaurants are just a few minutes away, most are pet-friendly. Overall a great place to stay, Mark is an excellent host and we will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Just what we wanted

Great stay. Clean and comfortable. Host was awesome. Great location, close to everything, walking distance to beach, great dining and drinks. Could not be happier.

Sweet Studio Cottage, Easy walk to beach

This cottage was cozy, well equipped, and a 2 block walk to the beach! Has a privacy fenced backyard and a spacious lanai, with a chimenea and also a hot tub, all of which we enjoyed using. Love the satillo tile accents.Also an easy walk into town, close to plenty of bars, restaurants and grocery store.And our dog was welcomed too! Mark was a great host, quick to respond to all queries. We will be back!

Great little place

This was neat place for a one note get stay. Easy access to all the places we wanted to visit while also providing a relaxing atmosphere when we weren’t out and about.

Perfect Location

This was our first time to Port Aransas and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Beautiful back yard and we could just let the dogs out on their own. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking space for our golf cart. Would definitely go back!

GREAT STAY

This cottage is cozy, clean, well appointed and surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The hot tub was superior! It was a VERY relaxing stay, close to the beach and all the downtown entertainment. The host was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return!

Cozy Beach Cottage

Comfortable cozy beach cottage 2 blocks from the beach. Nice, quiet neighbirhood. Walking distance to restaurants. Large outdoor living area with table, chairs and hammock. Owner met me when I arrived. Was very kind and relaxed.

Fantastic!

Clean, cozy efficiency with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful, peaceful yard. The host was friendly, communicative, and personally greeted us when we arrive. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay. We'll be back!
