Luxurious, inviting, and ideal for 2 guests, On the River is a charming pet-friendly, 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin rental in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Not far from downtown attractions, shops, and eateries, you'll be near all the fun! Plus, you'll be right on the river's edge, so you can enjoy the flowing water while soaking in the hot tub or sipping wine in the rockers on the screened deck or lounging in the log seating in the grassy space.

Inside, the living room is warm and inviting and features a stone (gas) fireplace, an antler chandelier, cozy furnishings, a big screen TV and DVD player, and a cushioned reading nook with a small library. Craving a bite to eat or something refreshing to drink? Head to the retro-chic kitchen that's fully equipped with everything you need to prep and serve meals throughout your stay in the Smokies. There's even a romantic dining space with a table for 2. It also has a new induction stove!

*Induction stove requires stainless steel or cast iron for cooking. If bringing your own cookware, please pack accordingly.

Ready to snuggle with your partner? First, draw a hot bubble bath in the copper soaking tub or take a relaxing rain shower. Next, slip into your favorite jammies and curl up in the king-size bed together. You can switch on the lamps or TV and stay up for a while if you like. Would stay there every time.

Easy walking distance to the shops. Close grocery store. Very quite area and feels secluded even with the cabins packed in. Some tile issues in bathroom but did not feel they were as bad as other comments made them seem. We would stay there everytime without hesitation.

Great Honeymoon!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect! It was less than a 10 minute walk to downtown but felt like we were far away. They had an adorable guestbook where everyone wrote their experience and where they went, it really helped us decide what to do! We will be staying here again we loved it!

Great location & adorable house

We absolutely loved this place. The only bad things I can say is that the tile on the bathroom floor is cracked pretty badly near the bedroom door & could easily cut someone. Also the toilet seat is loose. Otherwise will definitely stay here again. Absolutely adorable!

Cute cabin

Everything was clean. Hot water was not very good especially in the kitchen and large shower head in the bathroom, it barely got warm. Kitchen hot water was a trickle. We enjoyed everything else

Weekend away

On the River cabin

Overall the stay was very nice and location was great. The view of the river is beautiful. There were some minor maintenance issues that needed to be addressed inside and outside.

Cute Cabin, but…

Cabin was great, adorable style choices and cozy for any couple. Outdoors was a whole other story. Tree fell in back yard, essentially taking up the whole area between house and river. Sweet gum balls everywhere causing turned ankles a couple of times until we just gave up on enjoying the river and the beautiful weather. Messaged Cabins for You but got no response at all. Very disappointed as being outside is important to me and as pricy as the cabin was it certainly was not worth it.

Wonder Stay on the River

We loved staying here! It was close enough to walk to town, and the days we were hiking it was a treat to come back to the hot tub. I could have spent our whole trip sitting in the reading nook! The bathroom needs a little refreshing as far as the flooring in the shower; some of the tiles are coming up, but really that was minor. We had an issue with our toilet while were there and the Cabins for You maintenance staff came and repaired the issue in no time while we were mini golfing. We would definitely stay here again!

Gatlinburg Getaway

This cabin location is Great ! .. right on the river & Gatlinburg. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. .. turned on with a flip of a switch. Cabin looks like it's been recently remodeled ... my wife loves the retro style kitchen, & I enjoyed the hot tub. Our experience was great & we would recommend this cabin.

On the River is awesome!! Entry code didn't work on arrival, called the 800 number and was given an alternate code. Customer service was great. There was only 1/2 roll of TP, but we just bought some 🙂

Fantastic stay

I give the cabin(cottage) 5 of 5 stars everything was awesome and as listed. I perfect little getaway. The only thing is the gas fireplace never worked and that may be operator error but there were not instructions specific to that fireplace and I did reach out to the manager to ask but recieved a generic instructions set and could never get it to work. However it was a great location and perfect stay. Thank you and we definitely would love to come back!

Shower tile still broken

The cabin is nicely decorated but needs more light. It is very dark. There are broken tiles on the bathroom floor. The shower floor has multiple broken tiles and the floor is somewhat spongy. DO NOT RENT WITHOUT CONFIRMATION OF SHOWER FLOOR REPAIRS.

On the river

The cabin was very cozy. We loved that it was a good distance from town so we couldnt hear the traffic and commotion if the tourism. The shower floor tiles were busted and I had to be really careful where i stepped as not to cut my feet. The cabin was was musty smelling and very very humid (especially in the bedroom due to the hot tub). The bedroom tv kept cutting out- the picture would go away then come back and so would sound not always at the same time. However, overall the experience was wonderful. The cabin was very charming and in a great quiet location close to so many attractions.

Great location!

This cabin is in a super great location. Within walking distance of the main strip in Gatlinburg. Large king size bed and large bathroom. The cabin needs some repairs. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor and the shower floor. It was great to use the gas fireplace but it had no screen on it so we were worried our dogs would get burnt. The hottub is very dated but it worked and still kept a very comfortable temp. We were disappointed that none of the windows open in the cabin so we could not get any fresh air. But these are all miner things. In the overall we really loved this cabin and would absolutely stay here again. I can not praise the location enough. And having the water right outside was super nice.

Mystic River

Absolutely loved our time spent at the Cabin on the river. Everything about our stay was great! The cabin was well taken care of. It felt very clean and had most of the amenities needed for our stay. The location of the cabin was perfect. Less than half a mile from the start of downtown Gatlinburg. Yet it felt as if we were in the country away from everyone within a ten minute walk. The river running through the back yard was absolutely beautiful. I could have sat there all day long. The hot tub enclosed by a screened in porch was the perfect way to wind down each night. The king sized bed was comfy! All in all, we had an amazing stay. Perfect place for a couple to get away from the fast paced world we all live in. My only complaint is that two days wasn't long enough!! We will be back soon!

Adorable cabin

The cabin was very cute. Overall it was clean could use a better dusting over doors and behind tub. Our only issue was we had some trouble turning off the hot tub . The card they had there wasn’t clear enough. We called with questions on the thermostat and the person who answered didn’t know the answer and had to send maintenance for something simple we could have done with right instructions. Every VRBO should have a printed sheet with simple instructions not everyone can use a computer .

Nice place, great location

My wife, dog, and I had a great stay here. We loved the location - so close to the Gatlinburg attractions and just off of the Parkway, but quiet and serene. My wife loved drinking her morning coffee out back by the creek. The hot tub was a great way to end the nights. Everything was clean and in working order. Minor complaints: There was no soap or shampoo for the shower. A quick trip to the dollar store and we had what we needed. I don't think we've ever stayed in a rental that didn't provide soap and shampoo. The bigger deal was that there was no step for the hot tub. Luckily, we use a short platform to raise the dog bowls for our elderly dog - a wooden, 10" high wooden platform that I built. We brought it with us and ended up using it to help get in and out of the hot tub. Still wasn't easy, but we managed.
