Living in the forest

The view from the window was amazing! Quiet, clean and full of privacy. Only 10 mins to Torch lake,We even saw the Aurora at night time.

Secluded Paradise

The location and property are perfect if you are looking for a step away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. This cabin is on land back in the woods that makes it feel very secluded from the outside world. During our stay we enjoyed a fire under the star lit and Northern lights in the sky. They have just about everything you'll need for your stay. If you are wanting to grill they have charcoal grill you'll just need the charcoal and lighter fluid. Also make sure you bring a lighter or something to light your fire with as they didn't have one available. Overall this is a great cabin.

Cute, secluded place to relax!

We enjoyed our stay. We were up there for a fishing tournament and there was plenty of parking for our trucks and boats. What a nice, quiet, beautiful setting!

Great cabin in the woods

We had an amazing week at the property! We had a couple little questions at check-in and Marissa was amazingly responsive and helpful. We had a great time relaxing on this beautiful property, the dog had fun and we had a fire every night.

Annual Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very private and so peaceful. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gazebo and fire pit. This property was located close to all the things we wanted to. There was plenty of parking for our boat. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful

Had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. We loved hiking around the property and loved the firepit area. Close to Torch and Lake Bellaire. Most relaxing vacation we have had in awhile!

Great spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin tucked back in the woods! Plenty of room for parking our boat and a lovely outside seating area and bonfire pit, as well.

Wonderful sanctuary in the woods

We loved staying at Marissa's place. We took advantage of the great seating area behind the house and enjoyed a bonfire. The house itself was nice and we had everything we needed, but found ourselves wishing the hosts had provided wifi. Other than that, it was lovely!

Beautiful home

The house is in a beautiful location but down a dirt lane. I did enjoy the location as it is very peaceful but 20-30 minutes from all activities. Jetted tub didn't work and I couldn't get the property manager/owner to reply to my messages regarding this.

Secluded gem in the woods!

Overall we had an amazing stay! The place was clean, I did knock off one star because it did smell mildew-y inside. Nothing a candle didn’t fix though! Fully stocked kitchen with cookware is always a plus! Also, beach towels and chairs were also provided! It was the perfect location to venture out to the west side of Michigan. We visited torch lake and also traverse city was pretty close (40 mins or so). We loved using the gazebo in the backyard (which comes fully enclosed with a mosquito net if needed!) Also, a bunch of Citronella candles were inside for use to take outside. Firewood was not provided, but lots of places near by sell it. She did provide s’mores though :) Check in and out process was simple. Entry to the driveway and exterior doors was also simple. Would definitely use this location again in the future! :)

Very private

We absolutely loved this house and property. We enjoyed the fire pit every evening. We were close to Torch Lake, and Traverse City for a wonderful day of shopping. Thank goodness for Google maps, we were very secluded. It was fun.

Very nice property plenty of room for boats.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Big bathroom never ran out of hot water. Towels were supplied plenty of parking. A gas grill would have been nice. All and all it met our needs very well.

our stay

the home was very clean,but the owner had absolutely no communication with us,instructions for the t.v. the heating and cooling would be very helpful.a small stackable washer and dryer would be very useful in a long stay.no matches,lighter or wood for firepit next to the beautiful gazebo.nothing to use to clean up outside after our dog.we messaged the owner to inform her we were leaving earlier than planned,after two attempts still no response from her.we absolutely loved the area and closeness to Alden and Bellaire.beautiful very secluded property.but should have communication with your guest.

Convenient and Serene Location

Clean and thoughtfully furnished cabin in the woods. We loved the close proximity to the Chain of Lakes public boat launches and the bonfires at night. We had a some rain, but the large dining table made for a great spot for playing cards and laughing together. Really secluded setting - very, very quiet, which made for a perfect get away from the city.

Cute & Clean

Cottage was very clean. Plenty of towels, tp, blankets, dishes, cookware, you name it. Very well stocked. Yard neatly mowed, no webs or debris in outside seating areas. I was impressed with everything about this property. Torch lake just minutes away. Beautiful drive wherever you go around there. FYI The couch is a little hard to sleep on. So if you need to use the couch as a bed, make one of the kids sleep on it:)
