Enjoy your "Sea"bbatical on Sapphire beach in this spacious 1 bedroom, 2 bath condo at Sapphire Beach West (Crystal Cove). With 1 king bed, 1 murphy bed, 1 day bed (with twin trundle), and 1 sleeper sofa, there is room for the whole family! Utilize the fully stocked kitchen and washer/ dryer, if needed. Otherwise, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the four reataurants on property!
So many options are just a coconut's throw away. Enjoy the beach, the pool, tennis courts, coffee/ ice cream store, beach bar, and more! Downtown Red Hook, with amazing restaurants, nightlife, and ferry to St. John, is less than a mile away!
Desire to explore further? Charter a boat at the marina next door and explore the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands! Most importantly, don't forget to relax, unwind, and enjoy your "Sea"bbatical on Sapphire beach!

Wonderful

Another wonderful stay at Seabattical on Sapphire beach. The condo is as described and check in was a breeze with great communication. We love the bed options for our kids and the extra beach supplies are handy if you travel to another beach for the day. We enjoyed relaxing at the beach and snorkeling. Having food nearby is a great addition and we appreciate that there is staff dedicated to cleaning up sargassum if it happens to show up. It’s a great place to stay on St. Thomas!

Great place

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect and the hosts provide many amenities. We were also happily surprised to be greeting by the manager when we arrived. Everything was great and would definitely stay here again :)

Wonderful stay

We had a great time and experience here. Wonderful beach right down the way and easy parking. Savannah was so much help especially when checking in. Great space for all of us. Great location.

Another great stay

We have stayed here twice now and had a great time. The location is perfect. The recent upgrades to the exterior and windows adds a nice touch. Also the windows appear to be more sound proof (roosters) than before and made for a quieter stay. Ed is extremely quick to reply to any questions leading up to the trip and Savannah who is on island is quick to help with any issues that arise during your stay.

Spacious Unit Very Well Equipped

Loved our stay here. It was plenty big with all the sleeping spaces and the extra bathroom was awesome! Would definitely stay again and recommend family friends to stay as well.

Great stay!

Location was perfect, only a few steps to a beautiful beach, very short drive to Red Hook for ferry, dining, and a market for groceries. Condo had plenty of room for a family of 5 to sleep and had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows, AC worked great. Both Savannah and Ed were very responsive. Would stay again!

Best location, comfortable and relaxing space

Ed was a great host, always willing to help. The apartments was clean, comfortable and it had everything I needed during my stay. Would definitely book it again!

Lovely relaxing getaway

SEAbattical is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Every morning we could walk out the front door and go snorkeling. The beach was wonderful. Crystal clear waters, fish, and nicely sandy. It was not too busy. The condo was comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. The AC and dehumidifier kept things comfy. Couch and beds super comfy. Well maintained and clean. We hope to come back soon!

Great location. and views

Ed was a great host-good communication and helpful information plus a welcome gift-bonus. We got there after dark and local manager was very helpful and met us by our car to show us the way. Unit had everything we needed for a great stay.

Great location and great setup

This condo was perfect for my wife and I plus our 10 month old. It’s a brief 2 minute walk from the beach, and it has plenty of space inside. There is abundant parking if you are renting a car, and it’s located a short drive away from the Redhook area of the island. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location in a nice condo

Sapphire beach was a beautiful place to stay. One of the cleaner, quieter beaches not overrun with cruise passengers. Great beach bar/restaurant and pizza place right there. Our family had a wonderful week. The condo was clean and had everything we needed, including enough beds for our family of 5. Owners and property managers were very responsive to all of our questions and had great tips and advice on what to do and where to go. Highly recommend!

Great experience!

This property suited our needs to a tee! Personal touches such as beach chairs and towels were appreciated, as was the welcoming bottle of champagne. The only thing that could have made this place more perfect would have been a balcony or patio.

Clicking book was the best decision! Sapphire Beach is where you want to be. It is clean, quiet, and not flooded with cruise passengers. Great beach bar/coffee shop/restaurant all just within steps from the condo. Beach chairs are readily available and the condo owner/property manager were very responsive and extremely helpful. The marina is walking distance, a taxi stand is close, and Red Hook is nearby. There is also a reliable Jeep rental place, at your convenience. All in all, highly recommended!

Vacation for 4

The first night was hard because we did not have 4 beds and not enough sheets. Once we got the cot and sheets we found the place excellent. The information sheet needs to be updated. There are no longer hop on hop off trolleys. Thank you for a lovely stay otherwise. esperanza

Fantastic location & Perfect for the price

Located directly on Sapphire Beach you will have direct views of St John’s and Tortolla in the far distance. Long Beach about 150 yards with fair looking coral on both sides to snorkel. Ed was very responsive to questions and has a local property manager assist in anything you may need. The unit was cleaned well before arrival and was nicely stocked all around. I’m very pleased with the price, service, and size/layout of this large unit. Will come back next year! Mike

perfect respite away

When we had to quickly change honeymoon plans due to passport issues, we looked into St. Thomas and found this adorable property on Sapphire Beach. Ed was accommodating with the short notice request and flexible with all of the airline issues we had getting there! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne. The beach is just steps away and the property includes everything you may need for outdoor beach activities. The property is in good proximity to Red Hook which has a market, an abundance of restaurants and access to the ferry to St. Johns. The Beach Bar is where we spent a lot of time and the coffee shop offers "adult" coffee in the morning amongst other yummy food. Overall, we enjoyed our time at SEAbattical and would recommend to anyone who wants a nice beach vacay!

Anfitrión: Ed McKernan

The McKernan family currently live in Colorado and while we love the Rocky Mountains, warm weather and the Caribbean Sea constantly call us back! Over the years, we have been traveling to various warm weather places in search of the right place, with the right vibe. We found it here in the Virgin Islands!
Like many people, Ed has experienced a couple of "down-sizings" or "restructures" in the corporate world. Each time he was impacted, he called them sabbaticals (even though he was technically, just unemployed, ha!). Either way, he embraced his short term freedom. Therefore, It only made sense to call our dream condo, "Sea"bbatical! We hope you enjoy your stay!

We wanted a place that checked all the boxes: A view, walking distance to the beach, amenities such as a pool, and a vacation feel that included a place for beach front dining and cocktails. Crystal Cove at Sapphire Beach has it all!
The other advantage is the proximity to Red Hook. The town is only 1 mile away and has numerous shops, restaurants, and nightlife! The ferry to St. John and the neighboring islands also leaves from here, making day trips stress free!
