This is our 2nd year staying here for a weekend in the summer. We love this cabin as it is cozy but also has a great dock area for swimming & a camp fire area.

Great lake cabin getaway

We loved our 3 night stay at this beautiful cabin. There is plenty of space and has all the amenities (except for towels). Our kids were able to swim by the dock and the host supplied several water toys like tubes, water squirts, and they had 2 kayaks. This was our favorite cabin rental so far!

family fun

We have stayed here 3 times and it is always clean, stocked and ready to enjoy. Lots of indoor activities for rainy days and tons of outdoor equipment to use. The washer and dryer saved the day.

Beautiful Cabin

This is a beautiful cabin. Very clean. Stocked with everything referenced. Nice deck for meals and relaxation. Caught a lot of fish right off the dock (did not keep), but lots of fun for grandpa and the grandkids! Highly recommend this stay!!

Nice and spacious property, plenty of space for everyone to spread out. My wife and I had our 12& 14 year old s with us. Fishing off dock was fun - bluegill and nice smallmouth bass!! Provided good entertainment. Beach is just a short paddle ride away or drive (5 minutes) Cain’s Orchard nearby was a treat and a must! Shuffleboard in basement was fun and provided good fun and smack talking through out the week!! It felt like home and was cozy! It provided good respite for our family for the week. Many sights, tours, antiques nearby or easy drive away. Easy directions getting in and out of property. Don’t forget to bring your own bath towels!

What a wonderful home

We stayed Thursday - Monday. Flying from SLC-MKE. Our family lives in Wi. My brother said the fishing is great at Lake Arbutus and with the Russel Mem. Campground & Park across the lake it was fun and convenient. Our family either stayed at the campground or with us. I used one of the kayaks to cross the river and visit Mom & Dad at the campground. My brother brought his boat so we’d either kayak across (they have kayaks you can use) & hop on at the campground or they’d hook up on the Log home dock and go from there. We have stayed in VRBO’s since 2001 and this is one of the most well prepared we’ve been in. Walmart isn’t far but - don’t worry about utensils, they have you set along with just about anything you would need to cook with. The place was very clean. Please note: you are expected to strip the beds, put away garbage, clean all dishes, sweep & vacuum before departure so that takes a while. I think most VRBO/Air BNBr folks do that (we always do) but it is nice on the last day to be able to sleep in a little before you clean. So, it would be nice if check in was 3pm instead of 4pm and/or checkout 11am instead of 10am but neither is a deal breaker. What we found thoughtful was that they had many really good DVD’s, games, and some kids toys and very comfy bed linens as well as toiletries.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake home! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, and everything we needed to prepare meals.We appreciated the three kayaks and abundance of outdoor seating, making it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery throughout the day. We caught several fish off the dock, and the fire pit was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy time together.This home had everything we needed for a relaxing lake getaway. Highly recommend!

John is a great host & the cabin is perfect for us. Lots of space, nice yard, nice dock that is shallow enough for the kids to swim & play.

Great cabin. Great stay.

This cabin was perfect for us. It was right on the water, but not too busy with boat traffic. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for kids and adults to spread out. A nice feature was that firewood was provided. Shaded with trees, it was comfortable all day long. Everyone had a great time. Thank you.

Fantastic Property

This is a wonderful cabin with all the amenities. Very spacious and well appointed. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed finding home-made chocolate chip cookies on the porch after a long day of hunting. I highly recommend the owner and property for a great stay.

Amazing family getaway

The cabin was gorgeous, spacious, and cozy. Beautiful views, fully stocked kitchen, kayaks, canoe, John boat, life jackets, fishing poles, and inflatables for the kids to play on in the water! It was a perfect place for us to play in the water, explore around the lake in kayaks, and good fishing. We had a campfire and smores every night and also enjoyed the shuffleboard game in the basement. There were also tvs and movies provided that our kids enjoyed late into the evenings as well. We had an amazing and relaxing three night stay.

Beautiful place!

This was a beautiful place for a little family summer getaway! Super clean place, comfy beds, well Equipped kitchen and gorgeous deck with a porch swing to enjoy the view! We loved kayaking, swimming and fishing in this no wake area and we also enjoyed an evening fire and playing shuffle board! Host was super friendly and responsive to our questions before we arrived. Clear instructions in the cabin for everything we needed. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

Our stay

Group of friend got together for a weekend on Arbutus. The lodging was great and the pictures on this site don’t do it justice. Would recommend for family’s and friends to relax. Owner is great to work with!
