Relax at the beach, swim, fish, play games, take a walk, or enjoy a campfire. You’re on 'the quiet side', yet only minutes away from all the attractions Door County has to offer including golf, shopping, antiques, art galleries, live theater, parks, etc.

Enjoy spectacular lake views from Hickory's large deck. Right on the shores of Kangaroo Lake, this cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Take pleasure in the newly remodeled galley-style kitchen, and forget about washing dishes as this cottage boasts an automatic dishwasher!

Relaxing Get Away

When you need a trip that brings you back to nature, this is the place! The cottage was clean and had all of the amenities needed . During the day, we ventured out on the provided paddle boat for a little fishing, ventured out for dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area. Returned to start a lovely bonfire and gaze at the multitude of stars in the sky! Whether you are solo, with a partner, friends or family, this is a great place to visit! We'll be back!

Great location in Door County

Nice property, not fancy, but exactly what we were looking for. Very comfortable. Loved the front porch where there were great views of sunset.

Very enjoyable FAMILY vacation

Love the location. Love your beach. Love that you provide water toys, water vest, fire pits, various games (volleyball, ping pong). The kids ALWAYS had something to do.

A great cottage right on the lake, plenty of boats to borrow, playground near by, perfect for family with children. Looking forward to coming back again!

Family weekend

The cabin was not as cleaned as i had anticipated it would be, the kitchen area could use some attention on the surfaces to be cleaner. The deck are was great.

The place had been updated since the pictures and it was a welcome surprise. Our only complaint was that there were no paper products (napkins or paper towels).

Great Stay

Cottage is very cute, the view of the lake is beautiful. This cottage is the closest to the lake. Location is good too if you want to travel to different areas of Door County. It was only a 15 min drive to Sister Bay, Egg Harbor, and Sturgeon Bay.

AWESOME and relaxing!

The cottage was perfect! Clean, fully stocked with everything a kitchen needs and then cleaning supplies for washing dishes to if you spill something on the floor. The grounds are great for families. A playgroud and paddleboats and water bikes for the lake. They even supply life jackets.. Grills for every cottage. Not in town but close enough to all the Door County towns. This was our first time up to Door County and the entire experience from Trudy to the cottage to the little towns - AWESOME!! We will definately book again - this time with the entire family/grandkids!

So Relaxing

We had an amazing time as always! The cabin is right on the water and far enough away from other cabins for peace and quiet. Everyone on the grounds is friendly and good about sharing the common spaces (firepit, beach, boats, dock, etc.). One of the best deals for what you get in all of Door County, in my opinion.

Great views. Family friendly environment. Good place to unplug

Overall furnishings okay as well as kitchen equipment. Toilet in bathroom gave off a funky smell. Otherwise nice place.

Door County Bargain

The view of the lake at sunset from the vaulted ceiling knotty pine living room or deck is unforgettable. Kangaroo Lake is a warmer inland body of water. The resort has a sand beach with a dock, diving platform and clean water. There are usually nightly bonfires on the beach. The Hickory has an updated kitchen with modern appliances and a dishwasher.
