Spacious Lake Front Home with beautiful Gardens, Pond, Waterfall, Pool, & Dock

The property has a beautifully landscaped pond with koi fish and a waterfall, as well as a large heated indoor pool and spa. The large den has a pool table. we are on the lake and we have a boat dock. There is also a fire pit. My husband and I live on the property in a separate apartment (not attached to the house), so we will be here to immediately respond to any needs that you may have during your stay and we look for ways to make your stay special and memorable, while also giving you your privacy. The property is conveniently only 8 minutes from the highway. We look forward to hosting you at Misty Pond - your private resort! Great for flexcations/ ideal work/play destination. Discounts for longer stays. We have a pontoon boat which you can book charter boat rides and Taxi trips to the many restaurants and parks on the lake!
Note: Because of the water activities and fire pit on the property you will be required to sign a waiver agreement of release of liability.

What an amazing time we had with our large family.

We were able to all get together as a family after Christmas for a few days. The property is spacious, clean, and wonderfully appointed. Not to mention, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It was a wonderful choice for our family and Missy could not have been more responsive to every question we had. Highly, highly recommend Misty Pond.

Perfect Experience

My husband and I stayed here with our wedding parties for wedding weekend. Missy was so easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating! The home was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Excellent weekend wedding

We had the property for a four day weekend with a wedding on Saturday. The kitchen was stocked well for all meals on site. The resort is incredible and provided a beautiful backdrop for the rehearsal, wedding, photos, and a relaxing weekend with friends and family. Guests could arrive via boat and automobile. Highly recommend as an event facility!

Family Wedding

The home was perfect for us as we traveled from Louisiana to attend a family wedding. It exceeded all our expectations plus more. propertyThe host thought of EVERYTHING!!! We were NEVER in need for anything. We enjoyed most the beautiful surrounds, waterfall, nature trail, kayaking and the location. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. Would highly recommend as we are looking forward to hopefully getting opportunity to go back❤️

Wedding

We booked this house for our micro wedding. Siblings stayed in the house with us and our other guests visited during the day. The large space of the house allowed the two sides to spend quality time together in comfort. We totaled 23 people and the kitchen had enough supplies to cook and serve that many people. The two dishwashers were critical. Our ceremony was held on the dock overlooking the pond and the host offered us folding chairs to use for the service. Everything was beautiful. We were worried about the weather in July in Georgia, but it happened to be raining off and on that week and day, giving us just enough time to do a quick ceremony and the rain made it cool enough. The host had arranged for landscaping to be done in preparation of our wedding day! This included spraying for mosquitos, so there were no mosquitos during our wedding! One thing to note is that the house and the grounds may be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. If you are doing a similar wedding and can afford it, I highly recommend planning to check out two days after your ceremony, rather than the next day. Having one full day at the house after the big event let everyone (including the bride and groom) relax before packing and traveling. We booked the house for 5 nights, which ended up being just right for our purposes. Our guests really enjoyed the house as well.

The Best

Wow. Our family has done reunions at rentals for years and there is no comparison to this estate. Missy and Steve have set a standard beyond dreams. Look at the pictures and trust me it is even more gorgeous. If you're lucky enough to to find an open date, grab it.

Tranquility at its finest

The pictures don't prepare you for how amazing this property is. We've stayed at a lot of places and i can honestly say, this home was the most stocked. They have thought of everything. If thats not enough, the hosts are extremely flexible and available for questions. If we find our way back, it will be in this home.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at Missy and Steve’s home. The house and property are beautiful and they did everything to accommodate us. If we go back to Lake Lanier we will be staying at their house again.

Slice of paradise

We recently stayed at Misty and her husband's beautiful property with a group of 10 friends, and it was an absolute paradise. From the serene personal front yard lake complete with a tranquil waterfall to the luxurious indoor pool, the home offered everything we could have dreamed of for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Misty and her husband were incredibly warm and hospitable hosts, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their positive vibes added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience. We couldn't have asked for a more blissful retreat and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a slice of paradise

Amazing house, wonderful hosts!

We had an absolutely magnificent experience staying at this breathtaking property. House is huge but everything is well organized and easy to find (kitchen even has labels on each drawer!). Having an inside pool was a nice bonus - kids enjoyed it and were entertained for hours:) We couldn't have a more perfect celebration of my husband's and kids' birthday parties!!! Thank you!!

A most perfectly secluded oasis, conveniently located.

Steve & Missy thought of everything when they created this stunning get-away. Situated close to the interstate and Lake Lanier Islands, this gem is nestled in quite perfectly. Upon entering the grounds, you are welcomed by the beautiful pond with waterfalls. Driving over the bridge gives you the distinct feeling that you have pulled off the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The house is generously appointed with great attention to detail. The kitchen is a chef's dream. Every room opens into the pool and spa area. There is an endless amount of private space outdoors including the fire pit, walking trails, separate decks, the pond, as well as the dock. What an amazing space! We have already made plans to book again in several weeks.

Amazing Place that Made for an Amazing Retreat

We chose this place for our team to have our annual retreat. It was large enough and looked beautiful. The photos didn’t do this property justice. Everything was perfect and the hospitality was unmatched to any other property I’ve ever stayed. Missy really went the extra mile. The kitchen was fully stocked and very easy for the chef we hired to maneuver. The dinning room table was the perfect location for the ten of us to have our daily meetings. All of the beds were super comfy and the landscape of the property was beautiful. Definitely would want to come and stay again. This place is highly recommended.

Wonderful spacious home!

Our family selected this property for space and location for us to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving getaway! We truly had the best time whether it was baking in the kitchen, working puzzles and playing games at the large dining table, watching football or the Thanksgiving parade as we swam in the wonderful indoor pool. We could not have had a better experience. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and absolutely perfect for our time away.

THE BEST TRIP EVER!

Our large family trip to Misty Pond Resort was fantastic. Actually, everyone in the group agreed it was the best trip ever! This property has everything a large family could want. We had a religious retreat with just 12 of us on the property with devotions every day and lots of fun afterward. The pool was amazing. We loved the waterfall. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. We saw deer while rocking on the porch and hiking the grounds. The lake was nice for paddle-boarding. All three grown daughters learned how. Our hosts were wonderful bringing flowers, chocolate from Switzerland and turning on the pool heat for our arrival. The driveway was easy to navigate. Not one flaw in this place, very peaceful and relaxing and so much to do. Everything you need in the kitchen and baths. We hope to return again one day.

Better than Home

The property was simply outstanding. We had plenty of space for everyone to sleep in. It is a great place to relax after a day out. Very calming and quiet surroundings that made relaxing easy for our group. The place is well kept and lives up to all its photos. Highly recommended to others.

Family Vacation

Our first impression was WOW! Misty Pond is a little piece of paradise. Missy and Steve Bentz were wonderful host and we enjoyed their presence on the property very much. We had coffee each morning enjoying the water fall from the front porch and at sunset watching the deer taking a cool drink. The fishing was great, many large strippers were caught, and we enjoyed taking a swim off one of the many island in crystal clear Lake Lanier. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers and landscaping of Misty Pond. What a wonderful week!

Beautiful home for larger group

I hosted my extended family of 17 people for a 4 night stay and this house worked fabulously. This home is beautiful inside and out. Attributes that stick out are as follows: 1). Sleeps a lot of people comfortably. 1 King and 8 queen beds, and 1 full. 2) great cooking and eating space for a larger group. Kitchen fully stocked with all that is needed. Good quality Weber gas grill 3) large beautiful wrap around porch to hang out on 4) great (and sheltered) location on Lake Lanier. On a sheltered canal (no waves expose your boat). But very easy access from this sheltered dock to the larger part of the lake. Basically boat around the corner (a couple hundred yards) and you get to the larger part of Lake Lanier. 5) an indoor pool and hot tub that would be great for off season when swimming in the lake wouldn’t be ideal. Owners are terrific. They live in a guest house on site and are Incredibly responsive but also very respectful to allow full use of the property and give you privacy. Overall, a beautiful property and a wonderful experience renting this property. 5 stars.

We had a furniture repair business for 30 years and were ready to retire from having a larger business with employees to doing something with less stress and more fun! We hope to be able to bring peace, restoration, and fun to families and friends at our beautiful Misty Pond Resort.

My husband and I fell in love with the property and had to have it! We also wanted to share its beauty with others, so the perfect way to do that was by short-term rentals. We had the idea to make it into a private resort for families and friends to come and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of nature and of being together having fun! Come and enjoy wildlife, gardens, forest, water activities, and so much more!
