Fabulous cove and location! Spacious 5 BR/4.5 BA, Outdoor Kitchen & Fire Pit
This spacious, sparkling clean house on Lake Lanier, which we call Happy Ours, is the perfect lake getaway. Whether you’re celebrating an occassion or just want to spend time with friends or family, there’s room to be comfortable here. Situated on an open cove but not on rough "big water", you will be thrilled you found Happy Ours.
This beautiful home has bedrooms and bathrooms on three different levels, which offers privacy to your group. The main living area has a vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, and lots of natural light from the wall of windows that overlook the trees and the lake. There are also three separate decks, two of which are covered, and one has an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.
Down at the lake you have full access to the large private dock with an upper sun deck and plenty of room for swimming, fishing, and just hanging out on the water. You are welcome to bring your own boat and leave it in one of the two slips. The path to the lake is well-maintained with a concrete sidewalk on the slope immediately behind the house and the remainder of the path being natural and relatively flat. Guests with mobility issues should consider if this path will work for them. Most folks do not have any issues.
The house is in a great location, just a short drive to downtown Gainesville and Lake Lanier Islands. If you’re in the mood to shop, you can visit the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville. And there are lots of great restaurants in the area.

Very nice home that accommodated all of us and host was very helpful about the area and information. Quite a walk to the dock but worth it when you get there. We just had a couple of older people that had some physical issues that just took them awhile to get up and down to the lake. But overall a beautiful place to visit.

We stayed here during a wedding. The house was amazing and the views for the back porch and dock were absolutely wonderful. I was able to hang out and talk with my sons by the outdoor fire pit. Totally awesome! Absolutely great experience.

We loved the spaciousness of this home. It easily accommodated 7 adults and 5 little kids. Home was also very kid friendly. Kitchen is well equipped, even with a double oven. The lakeview is so pretty from the LR and adjacent balcony. It would be even better in the summer but we came in 40 degree weather for a family event so we couldnt really enjoy the outdoor amenities.

The house was wonderful - it had everything we needed and the downstairs was a perfect place to hang out and play games since our week there was unseasonably cool and rainy. The dock was a bit of a walk but once there it was the perfect place to hang out in the water.

So true about the crazy cool August temperatures while you were here--very unusual. If you are able to visit again, which we would welcome, it will probably be much different. We love the seasons here in North Georgia!

Guys weekend
Nice property on the lake. Good location and the owner was very nice and easy to work with. We really enjoyed our time there.

Wonderful property
Our multigenerational family enjoyed our spring break here with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and fire pit and the dock allowed us to bring our boat along for the fishers in the family.

Wonderful home in a great location.
We got displaced due to a hurricane and the host was wonderful and very accommodating! The home was clean, spacious, and held a 4 generational family!

Lovely Lake Getaway
This was such a sweet home to stay...the best part was the outdoor surroundings. We loved our daily walks to the lake and the bonfire pit was heavenly to sit around at night. Absolutely beautiful property!

Wonderful stay at Lake Lanier
The house was very clean and well appointed. Very comfortable. Great views with the leaves changing. Outstanding dock and lake access. Absolutely would stay here again!

Spacious Lake Home
This house is perfect for extended family and friends to enjoy the lake. Dock was great in a calm inlet. Bedrooms and living areas provided enough area for everyone to spread out or be together. Would definitely book again!

Wedding weekend
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home. Our daughter got married at the Chapel on McEver and this home is ideally located to this Chapel.

The host was very friendly, responsive and wonderful to work with. The home was exceptionally clean, modern and beautifully appointed with plenty of open space to lounge in. The home provided all the amenities that we ever needed. It's a great home for families with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. It's located in a very peaceful setting in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Lots of space for a large family crowd.
This is our second visit to this home. Accommodates everyone very well. Great dock area and fire pit area. We loved being here.

Fun comfortable lake house!

A great fall weekend with family
We had a wonderful time! Our family had a great time down by the lake, grilling out on the gorgeous patio, and had plenty of space to spread out inside and relax in the house. Perfect week for our yearly family vacation!

We built this house as a second home while our kids were still in school. After downsizing from our home in Gwinnett county, we bought a smaller home around the bend and essentially get to enjoy the same great cove as our vacation rental. Living close by allows us to be extremely responsive to our rental guests and also enjoy one of the most central locations on Lake Lanier.

This is the second home we owned on Lake Lanier. The first one we built was further and the lot was quite steep. We desired a lot that was more gentle down to the lake, and this one fit the bill. No matter what the water levels are on the lake, we are able to move the dock so that we always have water and can get our boats in and out.
The house itself is great for couples as well as families since four of the five bedrooms have their own bathroom. It has been a wonderful house for family vacations.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad
There are many things we love about the house. The outdoor kitchen with the fire ring is one of our favorites. No matter what time of year, we use the outdoor grill and fire ring as a place to gather. The covered decks off the back of the house are good for meals and to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The ceiling fans keep it a comfortable temperature in the warm months.
The cove where our dock is located makes a great spot to sit and watch people fish, tube or ski. It is a protected spot, yet very open without being in an area where the dock/boat gets knocked around. The location on the lake is convenient; we love to take the boat over to Pelican Pete's to eat and listen to music. There is always something to do and Gainesville is 10 minutes away if we want to go shopping or go to dinner.
