GRIZZLY HIDEAWAY - A beautiful and cozy lake community home!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation you have found it at the Grizzly Hideaway! This beautiful cottage offers 4 bedrooms and tons of space for your family getaway. The private backyard can be enjoyed by two separate decks, and a lower patio. The treed area behind this cottage is a great place for kids to be able to explore and play. This home is indeed air conditioned for those hot summer days to make a great retreat from the sun! The lake can be accessed at one of a few different public beaches in the area - Kinsmen Beach, James Chabot, and Windermere Beach. All 3 are beautiful beaches and just a short drive away.

The Columbia valley is a playground of activities for all ages. From world class Golf courses, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, lake skating, paddleboarding, swimming, boating, Fairmont and Radium hot springs, Invermere downtown shopping, and the list goes on. There is so much to do within close proximity to this cottage! As well, grocery shopping, coffee, gas, are all a short 2-4 minute drive away. A beautiful mountain and lake getaway but all close to convenience.

We allow up to 10 people to stay at this cottage. There are 4 bedrooms total with a queen bed in each bedroom. We also have a pullout bed in one bedroom, a few single sleeping mats, and a large queen mattress in upstairs closet as well. The Grizzly Hideaway offers lots of spaces to enjoy conversation and entertainment. The main floor boasts a large floor to ceiling living area for relaxation and visiting. The basement also has a cozy area for watching movies as a group with a large sectional and 2 cozy nest chairs as well as a few arcade type games, or relax outside on one of our three different decks that you can breath in the fresh valley air on.

For the sake of our future guests and the wear and tear of our home we do not allow shedding pets in the home.

Property was awesome! Very quiet neighbourhood, great views, very relaxing. It was a great size, had all of the kitchen things that are needed for a long stay where cooking is the norm. Beds were comfortable, and the property had lots of things for the kids to do including trampoline, foosball and a mini zipline. Be aware that any property in the Timber Ridge 1 and 2 areas is no longer allowed to use the common areas (beach and tennis court) due to a board decision to limit commercial access. We had just learned of the decision weeks before our stay, and it could have affected us greatly had we not known others in the area. Ensure you ask operators if they are adhering to the ruling prior to booking to avoid disappointment.

There are 4 bedrooms, all with QS beds which is amazing. We did not realize that only 1 of them was on the main floor and we were travelling with elder people and them having to navigate 2 flights of stairs was a challenge. There are several sections where people can sit & visit or take a break from others, which is a nice perk. The home had many, many board games and outdoor games as well. Lots of TVs, one giant one downstairs!! Kitchen is nice and open along with a large dining table that easily seats 8We didn’t use the home as a vacation rental, we were there as my sister lives on the same road and we were having a Celebration of Life for my dad

Our stay at Grizzly Hideaway was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming the home was. The property was exactly what we were hoping for—and honestly, even better in person. It truly felt like the perfect getaway.A huge part of what made our experience so great was our host, Tyler. His communication was outstanding from beginning to end. He was friendly, responsive, accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in making sure they have an amazing experience.The home itself was extremely clean, well maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully set up. Everything felt comfortable and inviting, and it was the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a place to spend quality time with family and friends, Grizzly Hideaway is an excellent choice.We couldn't have asked for a better stay or a better host. Grizzly Hideaway absolutely deserves five stars, and we would come back without hesitation. If you're considering booking it—do it! Grizzly Hideaway was a great spot for two couples or a family. Lots of space, well appointed kitchen and a quiet location a short walk to a beautiful beach. Tyler was great at communicating once we clarified the “dog-friendly” status of the property.

Three good friends had a wonderful 3 days together. So relaxing to have the space and amenities of the house and area. Most everything was there for us to make our stay easy and simple. The neighborhood was clean and quiet and close to town.

Extremely Relaxing Getaway

The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Loved the area. The beach access was good once we figured it out. Loved the beach itself and how quiet and private everything was.

Excellent Family Getaway

Tranquil home in a country setting was just what the family needed. The 4 Bedroom house gave privacy and loads of places to relax & disappear. Would highly recommend this property for a vacation.

Wonderful property close to all amenities with lots of room, easy access to a fantastic beach/rec area, and hosts that responded quickly to any questions or concerns. We fully enjoyed the stay and will consider staying again another time!
