Welcome to Sea Glass Cottage! Soak up everything that Historic Downtown Beaufort, SC has to offer from this 1890's home.

Located on Duke Street in the historic district, you are a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants and the waterfront. This quaint 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has been meticulously restored and has all the amenities you will need for your stay.

Enjoy coffee or a nice book from either of the front porches or the back screened patio. Venturing out from Beaufort, you are only 25 minutes from Paris Island, Hunting Island State Park beaches and Fripp Island. You are also 1 hour from Savanah and Charleston and even less to Hilton Head Island.

Loved Beaufort

Very comfy, homey, light and airy. The kitchen and dining area are small but we ate in the enclosed porch. We loved it.

This is a beautifully restored house (originally built in 1885). The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. We seldom used our car during our stay as we could walk all over the historic and waterfront areas of beautiful. Neighborhood was very quiet. We loved downtown Beaufort particularly the Superior Coffee House which is dog friendly.

Beaufort stay

House was nicely redone and definitely walkable to Bay St. Our problem with the stay was lack of communication with PM company after we reported problem with AC. When we arrived the upstairs was 80 degrees- it was programmed to be at 80 so trip started with an oversight that the PM company had not adjusted the schedule for our arrival - we turned it down but temp didn't go below 78 and humid the first night we slept there. Someone came out and adjusted programming next morning, but it was back up to 83 pretty quickly as the day got hotter so we got out of there. Someone came back out and evidently fixed the unit while we were gone as the temp went from 80 when we got back home to back to 72 by bedtime thank goodness. However, before knowing that it was fixed (becasue it was still 80 when we got home), I called in twice to the office and left messages and never received a return phone call or a courtesy call telling us anything had been fixed. So, nice house but this PM company - not so great.

Excellent Location and lovely town!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at this historical home. There were 5 of us and because it was an historical home, it was rather creaky on the floors and stairs. Really only a problem for the person sleeping in the downstairs bedroom. I probably should have known that it was an historical home but did not. The kitchen was smaller than it appeared online, at least in the table and chairs area, but was spacious enough for cooking and very clean and cheery. Bathrooms were nice as well. Porch was fun to sit on and watch the neighbors go by. Best part was the location. It was a truly a ovely walk from this house to downtown. Larger historical homes and ancient graveyards were extremely well kept and so much fun to look at. Downtown area was smallish but on the bay and there were plenty of good restaurants. SO much history in this little town and well worth a visit!

Oyster festival stay

Everything was just perfect! We were able to walk to the festival. Enjoyed all that the downtown had to offer.We will definitely be back!!

Mother/daughter (and aunt) trip!

The home is clean, well decorated, and charming. The location is great! You can walk to the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely Perfect

Everything about this house was perfect. It was so clean, the beds were so comfortable and the location was amazing. We walked to dinner every night. Didn’t have to drive but once when we took the boat out. The owner had his login for the smart TV so my child was able to watch all her shows. There was plenty of parking. The neighborhood was precious. Already sent this property to my grandmother in hopes of going back for another family trip!

Unacceptable Inconsistencies from Host

It is with disappointment that I write this review about Tide Watch Vacations property 1305 Duke Street. Our stay at this VRBO property was far from satisfactory, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this location for others future bookings. Throughout our stay, my wife and I experienced consistent daily issues with the property, disappointing vacation distractions. Our initial experience, which maintained throughout our stay was/is a mold/mildew smell in the home. Of our planned 6-night stay, the air conditioning did not operate (repaired in day 3). The alarm system chirped repeatedly and required a button push to stop, even multiple times during the night. Tide Watch had the batteries changed but never rectified the problem. The last issue was the downstairs water would not get hot (only upstairs had hot water); a plumber arrived to determine you need to turn on the cold water to actually get hot water (Tide Watch never notified us of this inconsistency). As Tide Watch is aware, we left the property a day early due to the unacceptable inconsistencies in their intentions to rectify the week-long problems.

Great time, looking forward to returning to Beaufort and Hunting Island!

We enjoyed all the restaurants and the easy trips to Hunting Island state park. The house temperature stayed at 72, kitchen was adequately supplied, beds were very comfortable and we loved the the screen porch!

Wonderful time!!!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time! The house is beautiful and in a perfect location to stroll to the waterfront and enjoy the view and get something to eat. We loved relaxing on the front porch, watching the birds in the trees, and meeting people in the neighborhood. We are looking forward to coming back! Thank you!

Great Beaufort vacation

Nice house. Had a great convenient location. Neighbors were friendly. Home was comfortable beds were very comfortable. The yard looked very well cared for and bosted a fenced in yard. The yard was in need of attention and one whole side was not fenced in. I mentioned this because we bought our dog. The interior was clean; however, the outside patios and porches were not and we had to completely wipe them down before we could use them. Overall great place! Just a few items need attention. Would rent again.

Blue Glass Class

From the time we walked in the door, the Blue Glass house felt warm and welcoming. The decor, the ambience, the accommodating accessories, and availability of a washer/dryer (high end) and lovely kitchen appliances were quality products. The screened-in back porch was private and quiet. Peaceful and serene... exactly what a vacation should be. The AC was so efficient. It is a 2-story house and usually A/C on the second floor is usually less efficient. Not so in this house. Very comfortable.. 2 suggestions for the owners: the front entrance/porch is not lighted. My husband purchased a bulb but it didn't work. So, entering the house after dark seemed unsafe on a couple of different levels. In addition, there are no lights in the back of the house. The screened in porch light/fan combo were not in working order. The light flickered so it was not usable. However, neither issue prevented us from having a wonderful experience staying at the house. It is so darn cute!

Quaint and comfy! My big things are water pressure, good mattress and linens - A+ all day long! Such a cute little house and the location is everything :-) Our only complaint is seating. No table inside to accommodate a family of 4, which meant no games. So, that was a bummer, but everything else was really great.
