This beautifully restored downtown cottage exudes history and elegance. The high ceilings and beautiful furnishings makes the home feel spacious and comfortable, despite it’s early 1900’s construction. The beautiful, historic, heart pine floors and classic front porch will transport you into a simpler time, while offering the luxury of modern amenities. The four bedrooms and three baths are perfect for families or groups up to 8 people.


Tranquil Cottage is a short distance away from Bay street shops and art district, as well as the historic Spanish fort and museums. Take a carriage ride just steps away from the house and truly explore the rich history of downtown Beaufort.

The owner understands the flexibility needed for families coming into town for Marine graduations at Parris Island. Please inquiry about the more lenient change/cancellation policy for Marine graduations.

This was the best location for our family to gather for our Marine's graduation. Our host communicated with me and went above and beyond for our family. I highly recommend staying here for the location, the accommodations, the most comfortable beds, and the wonderful host. Stop looking and just book it!

Wonderful stay. Loved sitting on front porch rocking chairs and playing games with family on large dining room table. Quiet neighborhood. Able to walk to downtown and water front. Home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed.

Perfect dragonboaters pitstop

In town with our team of dragonboaters for tha annual festival at Henry C Chambers waterfront park. This gave us a great place to settle in while in town.

Absolutely gorgeous house, remodeled to perfection, that's an easy 10 minute walk to historic downtown. We loved our stay, and our family of 5 was very comfortable eating in, relaxing together, and sleeping well on this quiet street. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen is well appointed. Living room and dining area have plenty of seating. Thank you for having such a great home on VRBO.

Girls’ Weekend

Started out with given the wrong house code. After getting no call from Courtney for 30 minutes, I called customer support at VRBO.Finally a call was returned with a workable code. House was as described. First night the smoke detectors started beeping. Put a call into Courtney. She answered my text and sent a maintenance person to change the batteries. Unfortunately this didn’t fix the problem. I sent another text and was told a maintenance person would return. This didn’t happen. The chirping continued….I haven’t heard from Courtney even after letting her know we had checked out.

What an AMAZING Home

This home is absolutely amazing, true to the charm of Beaufort, SC. It is within walking and driving distance of restaurants, historic sites and the waterfront. The owner of the home was so wonderful. For many of us, communication is key. She answered any questions we had and responded right away. The home is equipped with everything that you will need. They even provided a book with local restaurants and their menu. You can tell that the host places the experience of thier guest as a top priority. There was a book inside where you can write a note to the host or future guest. It was amazing to see how many people have visited and their wonderful experience.I will be returning. Thanks again for everything and allowing us to use your beautiful home.

High School Friends

Great house! The pictures shown do not do this house justice. Great layout with 3 bedrooms and another separate room with a trundle bed. It was more than perfect for the 6 of us. Also, an easy walk to Bay Street! We look forward to renting this house again

On Beaufort Time

We came for our son's bootcamp graduation. Spacious, clean, and so close to downtown (less than 10 minutes by foot). The house is old and full of that character. Super easy check in and out. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

This property was built in 1900. An extensive renovation has been completed to update the home and preserve the original features. My husband and I fell in love with Beaufort during his time being stationed in the area. We wanted to keep a piece of this historic town that we love and be able to return to a place that feels like home.
