The Haven - Kiamichi Mountain Riverside Cabin

The Haven is a riverside cabin nestled in the Kiamichi Mountains on the banks of beautiful Little River. It’s a remote location and serenity at it's best. NO PETS ALLOWED!

The Haven has two bedrooms. One has a queen bed and one has a twin bunk bed. The living room is equipped with a sleeper sofa. The Haven also has a fully furnished kitchen, a walk around deck, separate riverside deck with table, fire pit, and a picnic area. The Haven is located right on the river, which has black bass, small mouth, bluegill, and some catfish perfect for Spring and Summer for the whole family. Firewood for fire pit is also provided no extra charge. In order to keep our cabin as clean as possible for every guest no pets are allowed at the Haven.

It’s located 20 miles from Clayton, OK, 42 miles from Antlers, OK, 63 miles from Hugo, OK, 35 miles from Smithville, OK, and 49 miles from Hochatown, OK.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Haven. Heather was very helpful and responsive. The cabin was immaculate. It was peaceful and serene. You can see every star in the sky at night. We went at probably the hottest time of year, but it cooled off at night and we still managed to have fun kayaking on the river everyday even though the water was low. If you're looking to get away from the crowds and hustle and bustle it's absolutely perfect. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this cabin again in the future.

We had a great stay at The Haven. The cabin is very clean and comfortable and the location is amazing. The kayaking an fishing was a lot of fun.

Great, peaceful stay at this cabin. Amenities were fantastic, the cabin is fully stocked, and you can't beat the location. We'll be returning!

I've stayed at a lot of VRBOs over the years but this one... I will actually come back. Clean, well furnished and stocked, relaxing, just an unexpected oasis in southeast Oklahoma. Heather was an amazing host, quick to help when I got lost on the way (through no fault of hers! Just make sure you use only the link she sends you with directions!!) Kitchen had all we needed for simple meals. Absolutely spotless. Thoughtful touches everywhere. Fire pit, a lovely deck for relaxing or eating or playing games (or in our case, all of the above! We spent hours there). If you need a relaxing getaway to refresh and recharge, this is the place to be :-)

Cabin was quiet, cozy, relaxing everything we needed. Heather was so kind! Heat was prefect, plenty of hot water, and Heather made sure we had 100% cotton sheets on the primary bed as requested. There is a sweet spirit in this place! We found rest and new revaluation for our souls for this coming year 2026. Thank you for sharing. May the favor of the Lord be upon you greatly in 2026!

Easy river access

Cabin was directly on the river with an amazing view right from the front door. Perfect for fishing, swimming, and kayaking.

Awesome getaway

This place is exactly as described. It was beautiful and peaceful. The owners were friendly and helpful. It was clean and well stocked. We went fishing and used the kayaks. We hope to go back one day!

wonderful weekend

A lovely, secluded cabin filled with thoughtful amenities. Beautiful surroundings with a great deck to sit and drink coffee.

Beautiful… Peaceful… Relaxing… Best way to sum up this piece of paradise! Within 10 min of arriving we decided we were coming back soon! Morning coffee on the deck with the sounds of the water nearby was the perfect way to start the day. Our 3 day stay turned into four. Best anniversary trip! Host was amazing! They even dropped us up stream to kayak our way back. Can’t wait for our next stay!

The Haven property has some of the most beautiful natural landscapes that I have found in Southern Oklahoma. The house was spotless and well kept. The kitchen had everything that we needed. The hosts were responsive and provided the necessary instructions. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Perfect starry night

This remote cabin is a hidden gem! You get the beauty of nature and star gazing but the cleanliness and modern amenities in the cozy cabin. The hosts were so helpful and kind. Our family loved this place!

Lovely spot, peaceful and fun!!

We spent Memorial Day weekend fishing in the river (which was great!), hiking in the area, swimming, reading and eating great food. The Haven was the perfect spot to rest, relax, explore, and is just enough off the grid to feel like you have the land and river all to yourself. We will be back!!

The Haven

The Haven is an amazing property and Cal and Mosey are wonderful people! They made sure we had everything we needed and then some! We will definitely be back as soon as we can to enjoy this beautiful cabin and river!

The Haven is amazing. The cabin was very clean and had everything I needed. It has a multi zone A/C system so comfort level for each room can be controlled separately. This is a secluded property with private access and plenty of personality. I spent several hours looking at places in a broad location across multiple states. Trust me when I tell you that this is the best deal you will find for all this place has to offer. Do yourself a favor and book The Haven, you can thank me later.
