Deer Cabin at Mountain View Retreat

The Deer Cabin is a delightful little cabin! It will sleep up to 4 people. It has a full kitchen, full bath, and bedroom. From the front and back decks you can take in the beautiful views of the Kiamichi Mountain Range. The outdoor area is equipped with a fire pit including seating, and a picnic table as well. There is ample space to roam at Mountain View Retreat! It is a beautiful property with a 4 bedroom house and 3 small cabins that sits on 37 acres. The cabins all face a sprawling view of the Kiamichi Valley. Inside the cabin, is a kind sized bed in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living area. The kitchen has a microwave, full refrigerator, stove/oven, and a coffee maker with coffee, cream, and sugar provided. Bed linens, towels, and wash clothes are supplied as well. Mountain View Retreat really is a hidden gem! There are lots of common areas to explore at Mountain View Retreat! There are 2 catch and release ponds, large lawns to enjoy, a fire pit by the covered bridge, and a playground for the kids!

Nice relaxing stay

Place is nicely decorated. Great views. The grandson enjoyed the playground and we had a fire in the pit with marshmallows. Good time, will go back.

Beautiful cozy cabin in a picturesque location. Wonderful place to retreat and relax. Leave the world behind and just be. Really was a wonderful time and allowed us to reconnect and decompress.

Cozy, Comfy and Clean!

We had a wonderful stay and plan to return. The sunset was amazing to watch from the front porch. The cabin was cozy, comfy and clean! Thank you for the hospitality.

Clean cabin as was the property surrounding the cabin. Really enjoyed our fire in the fire pit. Everything we needed for a roaring fire.

Definitely recommend!

Beautiful home, quiet land with lots to enjoy, and a wonderful host. Everything was super easy - thanks to the great communication with the host. We arrived to a hand written card & drinks to help celebrate our anniversary. The house had everything you would need and more the bed was comfortable!! It really felt like our home away from home. We absolutely will stay here again!

Peaceful Getaway

The cabin was warm and welcoming. Clean and cozy. My morning coffee on the front porch was perfected by the beautiful view. The host was kind and courteous. We very much appreciated the special touch awaiting our arrival. Would absolutely book again.

Everything is exactly how it is stated. Im very clean so I am very happy that the property was very clean and well maintained. The Host is a blessing and a very sweet and considerate person to work with. I would recommend to anyone.

quiet retreat

This property is located in a quiet, out of the way location, just a couple other small cabins nearby on the property. Located off some back roads a few miles outside of Talihina, but GPS and the VRBO instructions got me there with no problem. Cabin was very clean, comfortable bed, and a full kitchen and living area. Oven is half-sized, but worked just fine for making Thanksgiving dinner. Has Direct TV but does not have wifi. Cell service is reasonable though. Beautiful views, the pictures on VRBO are accurate, but really don't do it justice. Very quiet - wonderful getaway.

Loved our stay at Deer Cabin...Location was perfect and quiet...Bathroom door did not close properly and the fabric softner scent w as overwhelming with perfume on all the linens and towels...This was a big turn off because of our sensitive skin and alergies but can be easily fixed with a change in detergent such as All laundry detergent w/0 dyes and perfumes...The back porch furniture was not comfy nor was the couch in the living room to watch tv...The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking was a breeze...The view of the mountains and the peaceful setting were strong selling points...The king bed was very comfy and we loved the porch covers both front and back...Overall this was a good stay but a bit pricey for what we got...We will add this to our list of stay here options...

My husband, Bradley, and I have been enjoying cabin life for years. His family has had cabins in Southeastern Oklahoma for decades. My love of cabins didn't begin until we got married 20 years ago. Bradley's mother had cabins in the Kiamichi Wilderness that she so graciously let us go to every chance that we got. We lived in the DFW area for many years. Nearly 4 years ago we decided to move to the Kiamichi Valley. The cabin we built here became our home! It has been so amazing waking up to mountain views every day! We have two children, Jake 16, and Max 11. We live near Mountain View Retreat in Tuskahoma. We hope you will enjoy this beautiful part of Oklahoma as much as we do!

Mountain View Retreat is a wonderful getaway! We found this property while looking for the next chapter in our lives. As soon as we saw it we were hooked! It simply took our breath away with the amazing mountain views! There is ample space on the property to roam. There are woods to explore, personal fire pits per cabin, plus another fire pit by the covered bridge, 3 ponds, and porches with grills to enjoy.
