We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Our family particularly enjoyed the large well stocked kitchen where meal prep could be a group effort, dining room table for all to gather around, and large grill. We had great weather and spent all our time outside around the firepit area enjoying the lake views that can’t be beat.

It wasn’t the house we stayed at due to an air conditioning issue but Christine was able to accommodate us in another house across the lake and it all worked out well.

Lake view was beautiful! Host was very responsive to questions and any problems. Beds in shared bedroom had a bit to be desired- uncomfortable and slats missing underneath. Didn’t expect it to be so close to the busy road. Fire pit, deck, and closed in porch nice.

We had a wonderful stay with our extended family! The location on the lake was ideal for swimming, fishing and kayaking, etc. It was a very relaxing vacation! We had plenty of room to gather for 7 adults and Christine was a very responsive host.

Great house and location

Our family, seven adults and a young child, stayed the week and had a great time. The house was comfortable for all of us and a short ride from many attractions. We enjoyed being right on the lake!

Great Stay!

Location and home is exactly as noted and the owner was super responsive. Really enjoyed our stay with three young children. Plenty to do or just relax, many options. Will return for sure!

Great stay!

We got together with our family for the weekend and had a great time. Everything we needed was there to enjoy our stay. Right on the water and exactly as described. We would definitely go back.

Family trip for wedding

The location of the house was very ideal, and right on the beautiful Owasco Lake! The hosts were very helpful and had great communication with us leading up to our trip. We would highly recommend this vacation house!

Fabulous Sunny Shores

Owasco Lake was a lovely, quiet lake. Great for swimming and unwinding. The property was as comfortable, clean, and welcoming as it looked in the pictures.

We rented the house for a family vacation of 7 adults and 1 toddler. The living room was cozy, and the dining room was big enough for all of us to eat together at the table. We ate in for most meals, so having a fully equipped kitchen was great. It was the 4th week in Sept., and it was too chilly to use the porch or deck much; however, in warmer weather, it would have been nice to have that extra space. People in our group took advantage of fishing off the dock and took the rowboat and kayaks out on the lake for a cruise and to fish. The toddler enjoyed the yard and walking straight into the water to play.The beds were a different story. My husband and I slept in the twin beds. They were very noisy every time we turned over. They were very uncomfortable and the bed coverings were not warm enough. One of the beds kept falling off the frame until he rigged something with towels to keep it in place.The toddler used the mattress from the cot provided, which they appreciated. Others in the group seemed to be reacting to allergens and wondered if the rugs and carpets needed to be cleaned.

We are happy to hear that your family enjoyed the house amenities and had some fun on the lake even though it was chilly. The thermostat is in the dining room and we had a brand new furnace installed two months ago that bc works great. There are extra blankets, quilts, and comforters in the closets. It’s too bad I wasn’t contacted to address the beds/coverings. After getting this review we now have two new twin beds and comfy mattresses! Thank you for the feedback. Carpets and rugs are shampood at least twice per year. September in central NY is definitely allergy season with the goldenrod, ragweed etc..so that was probably the culprit. We would love you to visit us again- perhaps give it a whirl next summer!

Lakeside stay

Very enjoyable stay at this property. Great location with easy lake access, including a dock. Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodations. All cooking and cleaning supplies readily available. Owner is responsive and cooperative. Would gladly stay again.

Close to Auburn and restaurants, grocery, marina and amenities. Fenced in yard was great for the two young children in our group. Shore was shallow, again great for small children but shore line is not sandy but small shells underfoot.

HaGreat time!

Wonderful house, right on the lake. Nice location, less than 10min to wegmans in Auburn. Had a heat wave and the AC was awesome. There were ducks straight chilling on the dock, it was super cute.

What a delightful stay! The house and property are well maintained. Easy and quick lake access, which is also safe and adequate for kids of all ages. Various opportunities to enjoy the outdoors whether on the lake, on the lawn or from the screened in porch. The property is owner is easy to reach and super helpful. We've stayed twice and left rejuvenated and ready to reenter reality each time.

Water Sports Family

The house sits a few steps from the lake so very convenient to enjoy the lake. Very easy to accommodate our boat as well as paddle boards. Plenty of linens and towels provided as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Owner is very responsive for check in and any issues that may arise. Had a great stay!

Great location for hiking. Lovely porch and deck with lake views. One guest enjoyed the kayak! Comfortable parking for 3 cars. Kitchenware was fine for us to cook breakfast and some dinners. Host was communicative, pleasant and helpful. Vintage house is charming. Beds and lighting could use some attention.

Great place!

Great house. Very clean. Our kids enjoyed the kayaks and row boats, and we had a bonfire almost nightly. Lots of good outdoor space. The owner was excellent responding to any issues almost immediately. Overall I highly recommend both the property and the owner (she has other homes in the area as well).

A great rental house on Owasco Lake. Fenced in yard great for kids and adults. Availability of kayaks was great and a dock for renting a boat if desired. Check in was so easy and communication was prompt. Kitchen was very well stocked with necessities and the grill was great. The stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep, so something to consider for guests. Close to town, making trips in for meals or supplies easy. Could use a few updates, primarily the second floor, and window cleaning. Would definitely stay here again.

Great House/Great Location

Great house for our girls golf weekend away. Eight of us has plenty of space and a wonderful time. The house has been tastefully redone. The back porch and deck were a hit at all times of the day. We were close to several golf courses and we stumbled upon a small festival in Auburn as a bonus. A great time was had by all.

Beautiful lake house!

My family had an amazing time at this beautiful house on the lake! From the moment we stepped inside everything was so comfortable and cozy. Everything we needed was available to us. The house is beautifully decorated and the views of the lake are breathtaking. Everyone in the family enjoyed it...from our toddlers to their great grandmother! We were lucky enough to make many memories here and can't wait until we can return!
