Sunshine House is a dream come true and 20 years in the planning! Owner has been vacationing at Wapato Point since 1980 and looked forward to the day when this home would be completed. The dream became a reality in the summer of 2008! All the finishes were picked out with quality and durability in mind as well as staying green. The floors are wood and cork and the only carpet used is also made from recycled green products and hypo allergenic. Sunshine house is "pet free" absolutely!$500 fine if any animal is brought on premises, no exceptions! Rentals are for ages 30 and up only ,must show ID when registering .
The great room has a lodge feel with a rough cedar plank ceiling, knotty plank floors and knotty Alder cabinets. This is balanced with an oversized Black Maple island to serve up all your gourmet meals. All counters in the kitchen are slab granite, gas stove and convection oven, a stainless commercial hood would make even Emeril feel at home!
The huge wrap around Trex deck has a covered area to bring the outdoor space in and is perfect for the outdoor kitchen and evening lounging to watch the Sunsets.
Master bedroom is fabulously luxurious with a fireplace and sitting area, French doors to outside deck looking out at the westerly view of lake and mountains. The bath is 5 star quality with a full walk in tile Rain shower with Glass wall surround, plus a large soaking tub, double vanity with modern Deco LAV vessel sinks and tons of counter space.
Main floor guest bath has an imported all copper vessel sink from Mexico and gorgeous Terra cotta tile in shower and floor.
Downstairs you will find two more bedrooms, an oversized king room with a king bed and private full bath as well as a child friendly room with full bed and trundle bed with two singles , also with a private full bath. Oversized patio is just outside the door .

We stayed here for a week for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect with a wonderful deck and a western view of the lake. We were only steps away from all the amenities, including the pool, that Wapato Point has to offer. All the essentials were available and the BBQ on the deck was perfect. Cleanliness and comfort were first rate. The only negative were some issues with door locks. Would definitely stay at "The Sunshine House" again.

second summer in a row we have stayed at Sunshine House. Wonderful location on the top of Wapato Point with excellent views. All Wapato amenities are conveniently location. Property is immaculate and well provisioned for family gatherings. Excellent vacation property!

Sunshine House is vacation heaven
Our family/friend group has booked Sunshine House multiple times and each visit is better than the last. The well-appointed home is perfectly located near the pool and the beach, with lots of amenities and gorgeous views. Don’t miss your chance to relax and recharge!

Family has been coming to the Lake for 20 years and this is the best place we have stayed. Been at Sunshine house for several years and are coming back nest year. Judy is the greatest host ever.

The house was very nice, and the location is perfect. Quick walk to all the Wapato Point amenities - outdoor pool, indoor pool, shuffleboard, basketball, grass for playing sports, mini golf, watersports rental, walking paths, winery, restaurant. Beautiful house and great host!
My family and friends had a wonderful Memorial Holiday weekend at Judy’s beautiful house in Wapato! We felt at home and could not have asked for a better host! Thank you Judy!

Great winter stay
Really enjoyed staying at this property! Nice view of Lake Chelan, great common space to hang out in, and close to everything. Everything was covered in snow, but the roads were plowed all the way to the house, and there was plenty of sledding available all around for our kids. Beds were very comfortable, the coffee maker made great coffee, and we were just really happy with it. Can't wait to come back again!

Great home!
This house was great! It was very comfortable and Judy was such a great host! She was very responsive to my emails and all of my questions. Our kids also loved the house. We would definitely come back and stay here!

Sunshine house shines
Second year here with the family. Great home, great location, great host. Been coming to lake Chelan for 22 years. This is the best place we’ve stayed. We will be back.

Girls Get-Away!
We had a wonderful girls weekend on Wapato Point! The house was beautiful and spacious! It has amazing views and is centrally located to pool, park, beach and boat rentals. Judy was a wonderful host and had everything you would need for a short weekend or a full week on Wapato Point!

Wapato Point at its Best!
Can’t get much better home in Wapato Point than this! The home is perfectly set up for large Family and Friends! Awesome views, across the street from the awesome pool! You will not lack anything in this home! Judy was so helpful and great access! Can’t wait to for our next vacation here!

Wapato Point 2024!
We had a great week at the Sunshine House ! We had kids and some grandkids with us. It was very convenient to have the pool close by. Beautiful views on the deck for coffee and eating! The kitchen was well stocked and was Nice for cooking!

Wonderful week at Sunshine House
Beautiful home! Even better than the pictures on the VRBO site. So clean and comfortable. Impressed with the quality. And the deck and view of the lake is fabulous. Sunshine house was perfect for our family reunion! Judy is great as well. Lots of communication and very responsive. Definitely recommend. Thanks again.

Saved Us
Judy is one of the best property owners I have ever worked with. Not only is her house amazing, with everything you could ever want/need, but she herself is just an incredible hostess offering input, wine tastings, plenty of everything from beach towels, dish towels, extra blankets, games, and golf balls/putters galore. We loved working with her and will be back!

Perfect for groups of adults and kids with plenty to do at the Point. Sunshine house is located literally across the driveway from the Upper Point pool and large grassy playfield perfect for soccer or throwing a football. There is plenty of activities planned for those younger ones every day at the kiosk and beach toys provided for fun days at the beach just a 5 minute walk. Putting green in the back yard for those lazy evening putting contests!
