Hi Joan, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. We always strive to provide a comfortable experience, which is why we send a welcome email containing property instructions and our direct cell phone number. Because we only received a message from you stating that you had successfully checked in, we were unaware of any issues during your 7-day stay. We gladly would have come out immediately to address these matters for you. To address your specific concerns: Outdoor Area: Being right on the lake, the outdoor porch and fire pit area can quickly accumulate leaves, debris, or minor weeds between cleanings. The area was thoroughly vacuumed and weed-whacked just a few days prior to your arrival. We are glad you were still able to enjoy the wood fire pit, and we have since refilled the propane for the gas fire pit. Property Scent: Properties close to the water can sometimes hold a damp scent when shut down between guests, which typically clears up after opening the doors for a few minutes. Supplies: We ensure that dish soap and towels are available for every stay, with extra cleaning products located under the sink. While we do not provide napkins or paper plates, we do keep a stock of reusable hand and dish towels. Appliances: The standard coffee maker is thoroughly cleaned with vinegar regularly, but we have since replaced it with a newer model to avoid any signs of wear. We also provide a Keurig machine for guest convenience; no pods are supplied there either, as well as an AC unit preset to 71 degrees to keep the house cool during hot weather. We advertise our property as a clean, cozy lakeside house rather than a luxury resort, meaning elements of nature like beach sand and local insects are to be expected.
