Beautiful location. Great communication with host who continually checked in with us. Home had everything we needed to host my daughter and her friends for a great dinner for UCONN family weekend. Will definitely be back!

We had a nice getaway after a tour of our alma mater, UCONN. This welcoming and very well decorated home gave us a nice place to rest and connect after our busy day.

Thanksgiving Celebration

My husband, in-laws and dog stayed at this property to celebrate Thanksgiving. We had a great stay cooking together, watching the football games and playing board games. I’d love to come back and enjoy the lake. Definitely recommend

Great stay

Everything was great, and plenty of space for our group of 5 adults and one toddler. Communication with the host was very easy, and everything was in place that we needed. There were many touches that make it clear they want you to feel comfortable and at home. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer to take advantage of the lake

Beautiful Escape

We rented this house for a mini getaway for our family and dog. It was adorably decorated and cozy. We loved the little touches that made it special: the old books, the fireplace, the blue themed colors, the fire pit outside.The best part was the view of the lake. My favorite memory was wrapped in a blanked on the porch drinking my coffee overlooking the lake and listening to the birds chirping.

Fun house

Nice house! Beautiful location only issue let waters run because they ran brown for the start, so don’t turn water on and jump in shower.

Perfect stay at the lake!

Joseph was super communicative and always available if we had any questions! The house is beautiful, even better in person! We traveled with 6 adults and there was more than enough room for all of us. The lake is very accessible, and the neighbors are all very friendly. Thank you so much Joseph! We had a great July fourth weekend!!

Fall in Ashford

We had a great time. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit at night. We cooked out steaks one night. The house had items that you normally don't see in a rental such as paper plates, coffee, storage bags, etc. All of this came in handy.

Peaceful Getaway

My friend and I stayed here for a few days. Despite the horrible rainy weather we had a wonderful time. The house was very comfortable, clean and stocked with all necessities. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of kitchenware for your cooking needs. We had one nice day of sunny weather and drove to a nearby town in MA for lunch then used the BBQ on the deck for a beautiful dinner with lake view. Joseph, the host was very responsive when contacted.

Overpriced

Overall, we rated this property much lower than others we have stayed in based on 3 things; The exterior (deck) was not all that well maintained, a large wasp nest underneath went undetected and after a sting we were not able to use it for the remainder of the stay. Also, there are weeds growing out of the gutters. Bathrooms - not all that nice (the main bath upstairs). Location - not that convenient to the lake - the properties around it all say no trespassing, so we did not feel all that comfortable as to where you can access it and the beach area, while close, is still a bit of a haul for the equipment. It is overpriced in our opinion. We had good communication with the host leading up to the visit and after the visit - just not during the visit who assured us the wasp nest would be taken care of for the next guest. The upstairs TV room was nice and had a nice view of the lake across the road.
