We have stayed at this property on several occasions, and it has never disappointed. Jen and Thor are, in my opinion, among the very best hosts we have rented from through VRBO. You would be hard-pressed to find better hosts or a more wonderful property. The incredible view, charm of the property, and outstanding hospitality are exactly why we continue to return.

Perfect setting for a weekend getaway with the wife! Enjoyed the beautiful view and nearby attractions. Jumped on the parkway and were awestruck by the colors of Fall. The house is awesome.

The property was incredibly comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary utensils and amenities to cook all of our meals and accomodated all of the items that we brought (food, wine, water refrigerated items, etc.). The views were incredible and provided inspirations for the two artists to create art during our stay! (Examples are attached.)

This house was absolutely immaculate — spotless and beautifully maintained! It had everything we could possibly need and more; the owners really thought of every little detail to make our stay comfortable. The beds were super cozy, and the view was absolutely stunning — the kind that makes you want to sit outside with a cup of coffee and just relax. We felt right at home and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Weekend in the mountains

Cloud Nine is a fine home, with beautiful views and all the amenities that one can think of. A great place to stay!

This place was amazing! There’s a reason it’s called cloud nine-the views are up above the clouds and when they clear you can see forever. Our hosts had a lovely snack basket and eggs, butter and Half and Half in the fridge. There were plenty of coffee pods for us all to sit and enjoy with the view!

A Beautiful Location

The property has a beautiful view! The hosts were extremely informative, helpful, friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is very well stocked, far exceeding expectations and above and way beyond any other property we have booked over the last 15 years.

Dream cabin

This was again one of the best stays I’ve had through VRBO. The cabin has a great view, the furniture is all very comfortable, plus it’s so well stocked, it’s like being at home. The host is super thoughtful and super responsive. It’s just a dream to stay in this gorgeous place and I can’t wait to return!

Best Place Ever

I have to give this place 6 stars plus, the host thought of everthing to make the stay the best. We have stayed at many places but this was far the very best, the view was Incredible, the total house was perfect. If you want the best place and host stay here.

Perfect retreat

We had a great stay at Cloud Nine. The house is charming and spotless. A few of the special little things that we appreciated include a Bluetooth speaker, great assortment of games, and a thoughtful welcome basket with snacks. The beds were very comfortable, towels fluffy and well stocked kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The view is inspiring and a nice neighborhood for walking. We look forward to visiting again and highly recommend.

Views for miles!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Cloud Nine and highly recommend it! The house had great retro style with all the comforts and conveniences of modern life - 2 gas fireplaces, smart TV, great mattresses, plenty of cooking and coffee making supplies, games, etc. And the views from the house are incredible! We will definitely be back!

Another great stay

This wasn’t our first stay at Cloud Nine and it won’t be our last. It’s a such a great place and so well stocked. If it was two hours closer, we’d be here even more. Comfortable furniture and beautiful views. The hosts are fabulous and very responsive.

Great as always!

This was our third time staying in this great cabin and once again, it was great. Had a minor issue, the host was super responsive. We just love the view and how perfect the cabin is. It’s like staying in my own place, knowing everything I need will already be there. We can’t wait to come back!

Simply perfect

We spent a long weekend at this gorgeous house right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything about it was perfect. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, the view was amazing, and the hosts were great. The hosts have thought of everything you might need for a trip. I'm already trying to figure out when I can return!

Beyond Expectation

Everything about our stay was beyond expectation. The communication with the owners were excellent. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and then some. Of course the view.... Absolutely stunning. Loved the floor plan of the house with 2 living rooms. Very quiet neighborhood with total privacy.

The Perfect Host!

Jennifer and Thor were the best hosts we have encountered with VRBO! The house was immaculate and so clean. The view was breathtaking! The hosts left a cheerful welcome message and a basket of local goodies and wine to enjoy as well! They communicated in a timely and complete manner with every detail covered.
