Lincoln Log Cabin – Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in this charming and tastefully decorated cabin with vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows and glass door. See the long-range views from the living room, kitchen, dining area and loft.

180 Degree Panoramic Views – Enjoy the awe-mazing mountain views from the large deck of Hanging Rock Mountain, Sauratown Mountain, Pilot Mountain, the Piedmont and the Yadkin Valley.

Spacious Deck – Unwind in the patio chairs and/or snuggle by the fire pit on the love seat. Savor wine from a local winery and nibble on cheese and crackers while savoring the view from the exterior dining table or take in the breathtaking panoramic views while watching the birds glide below you as you grill.

Cozy Cabin with a Awesome View

Excellent time with friends. We found the cabin fully stocked and with excellent decor. We loved hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Rocky Knob and visiting the Mabry Mill. Must spend some time in Mt. Airy and see the "true" Mayberry and the Andy Griffith museum and sights. The Jolo winery and restaurant was an excellent find as well with great food and an incredible atmosphere. Mount Pilot was another short trip worth visiting. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Awesome Girls Weekend

Pilot's Perch Too is the perfect place for a girls trip. This is our third year of visiting. My daughters each have three children and our lives are busy busy! We cherish a weekend of just us and my sister-in-law to spend together. Pilot's Perch Too is such a peaceful place with an awesome view. We spent alot of time on the porch just catching up with each other and remarking about God's creation of such a beautiful place. We cooked all our meals in, played games, read books, watched some TV and left after 3 nights fully relaxed! We appreciate the opportunity to go to such a wonderful home "perched" atop the mountains where we can watch sunrise and sunset! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great views! Much Needed Peace & Quite - Workcation

Brent & Shannon were great hosts. We would certainly recommend as well as stay again. The cabin was very nice and we enjoyed our time away from the Texas heat. The overlook of the valley was great and the hospitality of Brent was fantastic. We would certainly stay again. If I were to give one recommendations to future visitors (ourselves included): 1) We elected to drive in after my meetings in RDU ended. Trying to drive up the mountain and find the cabin in the dark of night (9pm) was not a good choice by us. Drive up in the day time -- save yourself the stress and enjoy seeing the deer and other amazing animals along the route! This is in no way a reflection on the property, just a suggestion based on my new-found wisdom ;)

Nice cabin, great view!

This is a well maintained and clean cabin with a great view. Although there are other cabins nearby, there is plenty of privacy, especially on the back deck. Check-in was easy, as you receive a key code prior to arrival. Check-out is even easier, as you simply lock the door as you leave. We enjoyed our stay and will likely return. Thanks!

Wonderful Cabin with Amazing View

We really enjoyed our stay at Pilot’s Perch Too. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck looking out at the amazing view. We loved that the temperatures at the cabin were so much cooler than in Mt. Airy in the middle of July. The cabin is beautiful and very well maintained. I highly recommend this cabin for a nice, peaceful mountain get away!

Pilot's Perch Too Beat the Heat

The cabin is terrific! Beautiful vista from the deck -- I added a peak finder app, so I could identify mountains in the distance. Our stay took place during some very hot days, and it was always a relief to come back to the cabin's comfort. We visited the Blue Ridge Music Center (on the Blue Ridge Parkway) and Mt. Airy NC, where we specially recommend the Museum of Regional History. All the basic kitchen tools are in place. Read the Cabin Guide closely, so that if you plan to prepare some special recipe, you bring any specialty tools and ingredients.

Quiet mountain weekend, top notch views!

We had a lovely time at Pilot's Perch! The cabin was beautiful, clean, and the views were unbeatable. Fancy Gap is a neat little town and we also ventured over to Galax and Pilot Mountain. Nearby hiking to the cabin at Devil's Den nature preserve and Matthew State Park. Lots of great wineries nearby as well.

A Good Relaxing Weekend

A place in Paradise

We truly enjoyed our stay at Pilot's Perch Too! The accommodations were definitely 5-star! We were able to set on the couch and take in the view from inside the house. The porch was enjoyable too! We relaxed sitting around the firepit.. We cooked a couple of delicious meals on the grill. We definitely would like to come again. It was nice being away from road noise. Shannon and Brent were more than accommodating making sure we had everything we needed.

Worry-free Atop The Mountain

In my honest opinion, the Blue Ridge Mountains still do not get the attention they deserve. While looking for a vacation destination, most folk's first thought would be the beach. Or perhaps the Grand Canyon? Niagara Falls? Something more exotic across the Atlantic? People are quick to forget that in their very own backyard exists some of those most stunning vistas, diverse ecosystems, and the sweetest air you've ever tasted. If you want to place yourself, as well as a lovely wife in my case, somewhere where time seems to slow to a crawl, I suggest anywhere in the beautiful Appalachian Region. But where exactly to stay? Sure, there are a number of hotels, motels, and cabins that dot the highways and byways across this land. However, if you're feeling especially thirsty of making a life-lasting memory, you would choose Pilot's Perch Too. Gone are the days where you have to rush to make a crack-of-dawn or moonlit check-in, only to be 'greeted' by a mildly annoyed front desk clerk. With Shannon and Brent, this is no longer of your concern. With correspondence kept strictly via email or text, you are given the illusion that this mountainside cabin is actually your's. You arrive with door code in hand and you quite simply enter. So, how IS this cabin? Well, it's perfect. It's very well built and well cared for. Shiny hardwood floors, fully furnished, and *quiet*. I'm not from a big city. Actually, I'm from a rather rural area. I thought I lived in a quiet area. After our stay at Pilot's Perch Too, that opinion has forever changed. On top of this mountain, without all the distractions of yesterday, you can feel the Earth breathe. There are all the appliances and dishware needed to cook one to five star meals. Smart televisions loaded with every streaming service your bingeing heart desires (WiFi provided). And since this abode is situated amongst some the most wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls, and various natural landscapes this side of the country, whether you want to be lazy or active during your stay, those needs will be met and then some. Let your next vacation slow your hearts as well as your minds. If you're on the fence about pulling the trigger on this destination, just do it. You will never regret it.

Fantastic
