River Front Hideaway in the Southern Oregon Cascade Mountains

This is a custom built home sitting on 5 acres along the South Umpqua River in the peaceful, wooded, Cascade Mountains. This is a great location for swimming, nearby hunting and fishing, hiking and sightseeing.

The house has an open floor plan and covered porches, both front and rear, with a patio off of the rear porch.

This property is perfect for small family reunions and get togethers. It is also a great central location for many day trips. Nearby attractions include, South Umpqua Falls, many hiking trails and several secluded, pristine high lakes, accessible only by foot or horseback. Day trips can include Crater Lake National Park, Diamond Lake Resort, Rogue River, Lost Creek Lake, Seven Feathers Casino, to name a few.
This location has no cell service or internet .. We do have a landline that can call the USA.

Wonderful property. This was year number 4 for us. River is great for swimming. Very relaxing. Host is great and very responsive before and during our stay.

This home is beautiful, well cared for, very inviting and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials and lot's of extras. There are several games, puzzles, movies and even a book shelf full of a large verity of books. You will not be disappoint in this home. Almost forgot there were even fresh baked cookies when we arrived.

If only all VRBO's were run like this. Carrie has perfect reviews because the home is comfy, well appointed, clean and you'd have to be crazy not to acknowledge that she does everything to earn her reviews. We spent a lot of time swimming in the river and fishing and exploring. The teenagers were never bored!

A wonderful river cabin

This cabin is very nice inside with a spacious modern kitchen. There is lots of privacy, room outside to play, and a beautiful river beach. We loved it!

I would consider this a tiny resort rather than a vacation home. The property and home were meticulously cared for and the private river access was incredible. My daughters and I loved our stay and are anxious to go back. The home is so comfortable and completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. What a treat!

Relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this newer upscale home along the Umpqua River. The house was filled with everything we could possibly need. Comfy beds, movies, games and puzzles. Plenty of seating, both indoor and out. Beautiful landscape and scenery. The owners were attentive when called about an issue and were so pleasant to work with. We would definitely love to stay here again!

A Wonderful Escape!

Our family of six stayed her for three nights and four days and loved every minute of it! Carrie was so easy to deal with. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The property it is on is beautiful and we enjoyed playing in the yard, swimming in the river, and enjoying meals outside. We would definitely stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough! If you are looking for a restful, beautiful escape- make your reservation now!

Another magical experience!!

This is our second time staying on this property. And just like the first time, it has stolen our hearts. The house itself was amazing with all the amenities we needed for our off grid stay. The location of the property itself it perfect with a big open front yard and access to the river!! Being here felt like a true vacation and you can tell the owner really puts a lot of love and care into this place. We’re really grateful we had the pleasure of creating another set of life long memories here.

Disconnect And Enjoy The River

The house was great for two families (4 adults and 4 kids) to relax and disconnect. No cell service and no internet did not bother us at all. We all had fun swimming in the beautiful river, playing on the lawn, and relaxing in the house. The legos and DVDs were great for the kids. It's a short drive to a waterfall. We hope to come back!

An Incredibly beautiful and comfortable home in a gorgeous setting

We are a family with 4 children, who visited from Canada. From the moment we pulled up to this beautiful home facing a river, we were enamoured! Communication with Carrie was excellent, and she was super helpful with information and with our questions. The home was clean, spacious, and super comfortable. Meticulous attention had been paid to every last detail (and the cookies were delicious!). We throughly enjoyed the river. Lots of beautiful hikes and swimming spots within a reasonable distance. This has unanimously been our family’s favorite vacation stay yet! Thank you so much for a rejuvenating few days at your beautiful home!

Disconnect & Recharge

Can't say enough about how much we love this vacation spot. Beautiful home with cozy beds and a thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Open kitchen/livingroom/dining room with lots of great comfortable seating (2 full size sofas & 2 comfy chairs) so everyone can visit & be together while prepping meals, putting together puzzles or just "vegging out". Loved reading my book and having coffee on the covered back porch. We had fun exploring the river (make sure to bring water shoes & "floaties") and floating in/on the swimming hole. The owner, Carrie has always been wonderful and super easy to work with. We feel so fortunate to have found this serene retreat.

Fabulous home overlooking the river

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights so we could access some beautiful hiking trails in the area. It’s a modern, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with all utensils and cookware, the beds are comfortable and the location is remote and quiet. We loved coming back after a hike and relaxing on the deck that’s right next to the river. I highly recommend this rental! If you stay here come prepared with all the food you need because it is a remote location and not near grocery stores. We loved it!

Great Experience

Wonderful house containing everything you could possibly need. An eagle and beavers were spotted from the back deck! We truly enjoyed our entire stay!

Hidden Paradise!

This large, relaxing house pairs great with it's large yard right along a beautiful river. There was a lot of space for our large group to stretch out and plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen is well stocked, with pots and pans, for cooking and baking. The views are beautiful and the property is so peaceful, it was exactly what we all needed to recharge, away from our busy lives. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

Tranquility

Had a restful vacation with my husbands and our best friends. One of our favorite things about our stay is that with no cell service and no internet, we felt we truly got to disconnect and recharge.
