Silver Falls was inspired by the historic lake cottages of Sweden, where the values of uncomplicated life and togetherness drove the design.

Silver Falls is nestled in the woods, with views of the meadow where deer and bison graze in the mornings. The home is easy to access, and a short stroll from the front door takes you to the ice cream shop, the Log Cabin Cafe, the town park, or our favorite little after-dinner walk to the cabin’s namesake waterfall, Silver Falls.

The master bedroom upstairs is a memorable getaway. Mountain views, forest views, vaulted ceilings, and a private balcony offer a unique space to indulge in well-deserved relaxation.

Please note the loft space above the kitchen is for owner use only.

Wonderful space for our family to stay! Had separate sleeping area for everyone which was great. Was surprised by the close proximity of lots of cabins, which caused things to be noisy a couple evenings. Overall, it was a great home base for exploring Yellowstone, and the hosts were very nice.

Great Cabin with close proximity to Yellowstone, While exploring the area and talking to a few neighbors I heard nothing but great things about the property owners. If I come back to Yellowstone I would stay here again.

The property was beautiful! Location amazing literally minutes from the NE gate entrance. The place to be for animal viewing. Both moose and bear in town.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Silver Falls cabin. It is designed so nicely for family time around the table. We played several of the games that were provided when we came home in the evenings after exploring the Park. The living room is also spacious with beautiful views out the windows. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were set up wonderfully for our group of 5. It was amazing being so close to the Lamar Valley area of the Park. We had breakfast at the Log Cabin Cafe every morning. We loved the quiet and secluded feeling of Silver Gate. It truly made it feel like a getaway for peace and nature. It was everything we wanted and more!

Amazing Stay

Karen was so easy to communicate with! She gave wonderful recommendations for things around. It was great to be so close to a Yellowstone entrance, but to have prices of things be so reasonable too.

Cozy Cabin near Cooke City

The cabin was comfortable for 5 guys staying to snowmobile with just a short 3 mile ride to Cooke and a few more minutes to the main trail.

Cosy cabin in the woods

We stayed with grandparents and this cabin was perfect. Lots of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Comfy beds and all you need for a great getaway.

Cozy cabin in paradise!

This is the perfect cabin to enjoy northern Yellowstone and the Gallatin. Perfectly suited for 5 adults and we didn’t even use the loft beds. It’s our second visit and we’ll be back.

Excellent Cabin

Our family chose to stay at the Lamar Cabin for a family reunion/vacation. The location makes it ideal for visiting the park and enjoying the quiet atmosphere of Silver Gate. There was plenty of room for everyone, the amenities are great, and cabin is very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here and I will be staying again in the future.

Family summer gathering

Properties, Lamar and Silver Falls, were a great fit for our family gathering-all ten of us! We’ll definitely try to return next year! Only two suggestions: Make a nice trail between the two properties; replace the BBQ grill at the Lamar. Overall, a great vacation for us at two very nice properties!! Thank you!!

Beautiful location, well equipped cabin

My family stayed in Silver Falls cabin for 3 nights. We had the best time going to Yellowstone! I loved being right there at the northeast entrance and driving though beautiful Lamar Valley everyday. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed for a great stay. We ate family dinners, played games, and slept so well in the comfy beds. the kids really loved the loft and bunk beds. One morning we woke up to a Bison in the front yard! The hosts were so nice, and super quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely come back!

Fantastic!

Silver Falls is outstanding - in every way. It is much more spacious and even better than the photos show. All the furniture is so comfortable. So much wonderful light from so many windows. A master bed that is the more comfortable than any hotel or VRBO I've stayed at. Wildlife watching from the windows. Ability to walk anywhere in Silver Gate. Hot water that lasts and lasts. Brand new washer/dryer and microwave. Wifi speed and reliability is a huge plus. Easy communication with the owners who always responded promptly. I can't say enough good things about this place. Not only would I stay here again, I am already booked for another stay! It is well worth it.

Good location cabin but worst master bedroom mattress.

Location great to see wildlife and access to national park. Cabin very nice, clean and stocked well. Our only disappointment was that the master bedroom king bed had the worst mattress we have ever tried to sleep on. It was very hard and we never got a good night's sleep. We would stay at this cabin again only if the owner put in a more modern, newer luxurious mattress. The only other issue was that the master bathroom windows had no curtains or blinds so there was absolutely no privacy. You could sit on the toilet or shower and watch the traffic go by right in front of the cabin. Also the neighboring cabin had a nice view into the bathroom. We had to stuff pillows and towels into the windows in order to use the bathroom in privacy.

A Winter Wolfy 🐺 Dream

This cabin, and this adventure are a dream. So utterly unique and profoundly beautiful. We were greeted by two wolves on our first jaunt into the park and the magic continued from there. This is our fourth or fifth time staying at this beautiful little cabin. It is such a neat mix of plush and rustic, high mountain w modern amenities. We have everything we need there. From all the things for cooking delicious meals together. Multiple spaces for sharing and playing games and visiting. Loads of comfy beds. The light and views from the cabin are extraordinary. And you are truly out there. Right in the town of Silvergate, neighbors with the wolves, and bison, coyotes and big horn sheep but far from the rest of the world. It is such an adventure of awe and peace. Karen, your host, is responsive and thoughtful, flexible and warm. There has never been a misstep or hiccup in our stay there. We will go again and again. Thank you, Karen!

The cabin is spacious and clean. This location is unsurpassed for exploring Yellowstone. Cabin is tucked into woods and is quiet and private. The Northeast section of the park offers some of the most stunning, rugged landscape in Montana. The area makes a great base for Yellowstone hiking or explorations in the stunning Beartooth Mountains.

Many homes in the area offer sleeping in an open and/or a sofa bed. We offer the privacy of a separate room bedroom. The original studio cabin was built in 2009, and a two bedroom addition added in 2016. Quality finishes and furnishings throughout. Large windows bring the outdoors in.
The master bedroom has a romantic, very bright cheerful quality with an attached balcony. Indoor layout of the cabin allows privacy between rooms. The cabin was built with two full sized bedrooms, and one smaller bunkroom to accommodate children.
