Welcome to Rosewood cabin in the Peaceful Side of the Smokys.

Play games in the cozy living room, take a long soak in the large jetted tub, sit in a rocking chair outside on the deck and enjoy nature, grill up your favorite meal. Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace (Oct-April).

Take some time to get away from the demands of life and reset.

We are a pet friendly property. We allow 2 dogs that are over 1 year old for a $50 pet fee.

*Property does have a shared driveway.*

Enter into the living room where you will find a comfy futon with new mattress as of August 2021, a gas fireplace (useable Oct-April), and a smart television. Play games or snuggle up and enjoy each other's company. Our place is cozy but we feel love grows best in smaller spaces! New flooring installed February 2023. Check-in is keyless so you can arrive at anytime after 4pm.

The dining table is an antique and has a vintage sewing machine base. Seating for four provided.

Head over to the kitchen where you have everything you need to make a meal and save some money instead of eating out. We have a refridgerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, and kettle along with all the dinnerware, silverware, pots and pans.

The bathroom is on the main level and has a standalone shower and a jacuzzi tub big enough for two. Enjoy a long soak after a fun day in town exploring.

A beautiful loft area is where you will find the best place to rest your head. The queen bed is just right for a good night's sleep and has a handcrafted headboard from a local artist. New Lucid mattress as of November 2022.

On the deck you will find two rocking chairs and a dining table. Have meals outside and take advantage of the beautiful weather or take a seat in the rockers and wind down with a glass of wine.

We like to give guests their privacy so we won't be available in person but we respond quickly to any guest communication and have a great team that can visit the property if needed.

This cabin is not completely secluded as there are two other cabins on the property but there is space between them and we have been intentional about privacy.

Please note that you will be asked to sign a rental agreement as part of our booking process

It's cute, however pictures give the impression that you're secluded. You're not. It has multiple cabins with a few yards of each other. We value privacy and wished we had known and picked another location. If that isn't an issue for others...disregard. Squirrels inhabit the chimney and absolutely keep guests up at night. I counted at least 5 crawling into area surrounding chimney and boy they like to play at night. On a plus, they had lots of games, a few books including a trail guide and generally the kitchen is well stocked and coffee maker works well.

Lovely Cabin and Amenities

Great 2 night stay. Loved the gas fireplace and very comfortable bed. WiFi was excellent. Be aware this has loft stairs which some elderly may find daunting. Excellent host communication. Horseback riding and caverns right up the road.

Beautiful mountain retreat

We stayed here for a few days on a hiking trip. This place made the perfect little house to retreat to, and the hot tub was much welcome after long days of hiking up steep mountain trails. The coffee pods were a nice added touch!

Anniversary

It was a perfect, small, simple little cabin for y husband and I for a quick trip. We loved Townsend, much nicer than the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. Very convenient location to the Caverns which is a must do! The jetted tub was nice to have but would have been perfect if had an outdoor hot tub. The only other thing would make it better was if location was up in mountains with a better view. Otherwise our stay was great!

Cozy honey moon stay

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! It is tucked away from the busyness of neighboring towns but it is close enough to venture to Dollywood and Smoky Mountains National Park. Nicole and Dustin were very communicative and even turned on the fireplace a bit early for us, which was perfect as the temps dipped down. Our dogs had a great time too and enjoyed watching the neighbor’s free range chickens peck around. Overall it was a great spot to unwind in nature after the craziness of our wedding week.

Perfect if your down to see the beauty of cades cove or a cavern within walking distance.

Great vacation!

Our family of four stayed in this cozy cabin and it was perfect! Just what I was looking for and very clean. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the check in/out process was very simple. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet place just out of town to enjoy some peace and quiet. Our hostess checked in on us after our first night just to make sure all was well and communication was always open. Definitely enjoyed it, thank you!

Dissatisfied

The cabin was not appropriate for our age , which I stressed to you our issues with my husband's health and the stair situation . It was a miserable stay and we did not stay the entire time . I will never book with VRBO again . I feel we were deceived only to rent to someone.it was also difficult to walk down to cabin as the the path needs to be leveled and on the tiers proper gravel . Sleeping for my husband who is 85 , was on the floor on the futon mattress. No place for our clothes . TV not user friendly , no instructions on how to use the TV , the grill in bad shape . We had no directions to find the cabin , being lost in the mountain. I do not recommend this place and will never book thru VRBO again .

Memorial day hide away

This is the place to go, when you don't want the noise and crazy of the crowd. Best decision ever. One of the very few truly pet friendly places. Internet was strong enough to set up a portable Wyze cam to keep an eye on our doggo.

Anfitrión: Nicole Schroeder

We are the Schroeder family and we have been traveling full-time since September of 2017. We started out traveling exclusively in our rv, but fell in love with short term rentals when we explored Europe in 2019. We have been to all 50 states and over 10 countries as we seek to learn more about the diversity that makes each place unique and special. This cabin is a family passion. We are teaching our children about construction, basic repairs, budgeting, hospitality, compassion, and loving others well. They are involved in this property and we hope that they will grow to love hosting as much as we do.

We have cabins in the hustle and bustle of the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and we decided that we wanted a place to enjoy the Peaceful Side of the Smokys as well. We fell in love with this property for the views and the feeling of relaxation we have when we're here. This is a place that one can truly unwind and enjoy the nature that makes the Smoky Mountains great.
