Our home has the most incredible view in Colorado. We have a fully fenced yard built in September 2025. All the bedrooms have access to fenced yard. On our beautiful wrap-around deck you will have unobstructed views of Mt Hope, Quail mountain, La Plata, and of course, Mt Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado. On the deck, you will find an outside fire feature and a barbecue grill both attached to house gas. The deck is fully furnished with bistro furniture, tables, chairs, and a rocker. You are steps away from BLM and National Forest trails that connect you to Mt Elbert Forebay. There is a fitness room with an Octane elliptical, a bench and weights and a steam shower to complete your workout. In the house, you will have all new appliances, washer, dryer, smart refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove, hood, and mircrowave. In the den, you have a dartboard, and a foosball table a queen sleeper sofa and a 65 inch smart tv. In the living room, you have an electric lazy-boy couch to relax, put your feet up and look at the view while watching your favorite shows and sports on a smart tv.
*Drip Coffee Maker and stainless steel French Press, filters and coffee provided.
*Water is mountain well water and is safe to drink from the tap or the filtered water on the refrigerator.
*Gas grill and Fire feature are connected to the house gas (no need to fill).
*Oil and spices and plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, crock pot, roasting pan, glass baking dishes and an air fryer.
The house is 1 mile above Twin Lakes and 1.5 miles from Mt. Elbert Forebay walking distance, but there is parking at the lakes and beach chairs and towels at the house.

My family and I had an incredible stay! The views are as breathtaking as described. We were there for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB and it made it very convenient for my family to watch the race (which goes by 5 minutes from the house) and then relax at the house while they waited. The house is very nice with lots of room. We were busy all weekend so didn't get a change to utilize all the amenities but there are a lot that are offered. The owners were very nice and responsive and made the whole experience great. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful Retreat with Breathtaking ViewsWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Twin Lakes property. The house was incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, which made settling in effortless. One of the most magical parts of our stay was the large number of beautiful hummingbirds that visited daily. Watching them flit around the deck added such a special touch to the serene atmosphere. And the view—absolutely stunning! Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery was unforgettable. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature.

Location, location, location

Perfect location at the end of street. Quiet and views galore. Exactly what we needed as a getaway from the city. Host was responsive and made you feel welcomed as soon as you checked in.

Great winter trip

The views and house are even better than described. The house is modern and clean with a great location. The owner left small gifts for us and had chilled mugs in the freezer. Lots of nice touches like that. Loved it.

Lakeview relaxation

The house is as exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable! Great amenities from dishes and pans, to a portable fan to cool off our dog, as well as a baby gate to keep our dog away from the stairs. The outdoor space is as great as the inside, the views are amazing. The owners were very accommodating and the bottle of wine and chocolates were a nice touch! We’re anxious to visit again!!

Beautiful Home, Beautiful Views

This is a great place for R&R, family-time and outdoor adventures with many visits from the local deer. The views are amazing and hiking/xc-skiing/etc is right out the door or a short drive. The house is well-stocked for cooking, playing games or relaxing outside and the steam-shower was awesome. Our hosts gave us really clear check-in details and were very helpful in their communications. They even had a nice surprise gift waiting for us!

Best house in Twin Lakes

Best kept secret in Twin Lakes The house is amazing , views on the mountains were spectacular in every room! The house is perfect , loved the kitchen equipped with everything ! I was celebrating at birthday and she left chocolate and wine The family room is great if you have children There is hiking next to the house It was my favorite house I ever rented Bonus is Donna is great to work with Very helpful And super nice person I will definitely rent again

WOW just wow!

You could not ask for a better location in the valley. The cabin is directly overlooking both lakes. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice. We had such a wonderful time. The cabin was immaculate and the host kept in contact the whole time! I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars.

What a View!

Lovely property with an amazing view. Updated and comfortable. Nice beds and plenty of space. Great showers! The home is stocked better than any home we have ever rented. Great host that was super easy to work with. So lucky to have found a few days thanks to someone needing to cancel. -again. the view is so nice. It makes it feel like you have traveled to another country.

Unmatched views

We had a wonderful stay in a home with stunning 180 views as you sit in the living room. The space is well designed to cook and relax with family or friends between outings. The hike immediately out the back door was lovely and we could enjoy Leadville, Buena Vista as well as biking across the lake. After dark, we enjoyed stargazing and playing darts in the basement. I would love to return and our group agreed that it was our favorite rental after traveling together over the last 8 years or so. I was very glad to have a larger vehicle to reach the house on steep gravel roads but well worth the effort!!

Beautiful Views!

Twin Lakes is a good central location for visiting Aspen and the Maroon Bells (in Summer) and the Buena Vista. Plenty to go if you like the outdoors within a 45 minute drive! This property had a hiking trail leaving straight off the driveway, amazing views of the lakes and the tallest mountains in Colorado. We saw wildlife each day while sitting on the deck (fox, eagles, rabbits, deer, ground squirrels). The house was easy to find with the address provided and access was simple. We ate most meals at the house and kitchen was perfect for our needs. Our family of six had plenty of space and there were many games provided, including foosball and darts. The downstairs shower is a "steam shower", which was interesting. Overall, we loved our stay at this house in Twin Lakes!

Breathtaking Adventure!

This house was perfect! The pictures do not do justice to the views offered from every single window in the house. It was a perfect setup for me and my husband and our two teenage boys and even our fur baby. My boys had rooms downstairs and a bathroom and the game room and the adults had the upstairs. Everyone had their own space which was amazing. Donna was super helpful with my many questions. The house has everything you could possibly need. Donna really thought of everything to make your stay feel like being at home. You will not be disappointed to rent this little piece of heaven! I loved that the house is at the end of the road so we weren’t alone and always felt super safe, but we also had a ton of privacy and the views were open to the mountains beside us and not other houses. Donna was very accommodating and was wonderful to work with! We had a relaxing week! My boys brought their kayaks from home and we spent many days at the lake. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us Donna! This was our first trip to Colorado and everything was perfect!

Best VRBO experience so far!

Donna was an incredible host! The house had everything we could possibly need, and all the previous reviews are absolutely spot on. The pictures don’t do the breathtaking views justice! I especially loved the trail right beside the house, which was perfect for morning walks with my dogs.Since it was windy most days, we didn’t get to enjoy the wood firepit as much as we had hoped, but the gas firepit was a fantastic alternative. Donna was extremely accommodating and responsive, making our stay even better.We will definitely be staying here again. In fact, we loved it so much that we’re even considering buying a home in Twin Lakes in the future!

Amazing Week at Beautiful Mountain Lodge

Our family had an amazing week staying at Donna and Greg's beautiful mountain lodge. The views were amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The house was well stocked and very clean and comfortable. Donna and Greg were great to work with and quick to respond with any questions we had. We did not want to leave this beautiful spot and are looking forward to returning in the future!
