Wood Crest Cottage and the various trails through 40 acres of woods, meadows, and pond is a natural sanctuary that provides peaceful seclusion from the noisy world while offering many modern amenities.

A sign at the drive (Wood Crest Cottage) will start you on your drive down the grassy lane to the cottage.

The cabin was perfect for what we needed, and the entire property was BEAUTIFUL. All of the trails lined with wildflowers, trees, and wildlife was exactly what we needed. thank you for an amazing space for me to celebrate my birthday

The secluded setting makes the cottage a very unique experience. The adjacent meadow full of wildflowers and walking paths was the highlight of our stay. This property was a true gem in all ways.

Great secluded cottage! The "driveway" is about 1/2 mile long grass lane between corn fields. The house is very cute with a great front porch area as well as a back deck and patio. The hot tub was great too! The surrounding trails were great for exploring. I can't even imagine how long it takes to keep all the trails mowed! The property was only about 35 mins to South Bend, IN - perfect for the ND football game! If we are ever back in the area, we would love to stay here again!

Overall property was great for our family’s stay-peaceful, beautiful trails, and secluded. Storms had come through before our stay taking out the hot tub use and required window air conditioners to keep the cottage cool. Lincoln and Shelly was very open with communication and respectful of giving us our privacy with the property being located in the back of theirs.

Funny quirky house in a beautiful secluded area. Two bedrooms downstairs and the two twin beds in the loft were perfect for giving our grandkids their privacy. Hot tub was nice addition. Lincoln was very friendly and responsive to all our questions. Chocolate chip cookies were the best!! Would definitely stay again

I am very glad that I choose his property for our vacation! The home is lovely & is well stocked for anything that you could possibly need. The owner even provided us with some fresh eggs! The location is superior for having things to do - but remain in a rural, natural setting. The time spent to maintain trails with beautiful plantings is impressive as well. I hope to stay here again in the future. If there was something that could have made the stay better, it would have been if the hot tub was functioning during our stay. I always enjoy hot tub time and when picking a place that is something that is on my "must have" list. If you are thinking of staying here, I highly recommend it!

Staying at this cabin is becoming an annual tradition for my friends and I. Great grounds, great amenities, comfy sleeping arrangements, and a good location make it hard to beat

The pictures do not do this place justice. The cottage is super cute and very secluded. The natural plantings and meadows with the mowed paths make this a nature lovers dream! Highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful, Relaxing, Wonderful place to stay.

We stayed for just 2 nights but we really enjoyed our time! Loved the trails and scenery! Hot tub was great. We had beautiful 60 degree weather and the hot tub really helped us enjoy our stay. House was stocked! Bed was very comfortable!

This was the perfect retreat for our boys’ weekend. The property is enormous but walkable and immaculately maintained with a wide variety of things to do and see while remaining secluded in what felt like our own personal state park. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed every one of the homemade cookies the hosts left for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and each of us plans to return with other friends and family members.

Wood Crest Cottage was an excellent choice for my first visit to Michigan. Morning coffee experiencing nature in the beautiful setting and evening soaks in the hot tub were perfect bookends to days of exploring beaches and the wine trail. The carefully curated grounds, interior and amenities insured a peaceful and relaxing stay. Anyone considering booking this property should not hesitate to choose it.

Upon acquisition of a contiguous property with this cottage we endeavored to develop an oasis that would honor that heritage.

The farm has been organic since 1983 and it offers a splendid sanctuary from the noisy world; with its diverse array of wildlife and plants it is a nature lovers oasis. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Wildflower gardens abound. The dark sky experience here will appeal to star gazers and offers excellent satellite tracking . Avid air traffic watchers will find the property is on the flight path of many area and national city's airports. Bird watchers will find many native and migratory birds very plentiful. There is a small but growing library of books related to nature and conservation provided that will include writings of one of the founders of this farm and organic standards (mom).
