Fair Winds is a fully equipped, 2BR/2B, bay view vacation home conveniently located in historic downtown Palacios. It is within walking distance of restaurants and some of the nicest public fishing facilities on the South Texas coast. Enjoy free, first-class amenities including a swimming beach, protected boat launch, lighted fishing pier, miles of bayside parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas, just a short walk from your front porch.

Speaking of the front porch, it is the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. The combination living/kitchen area has a satellite TV and a sleeper sofa bed. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a four-burner cooktop with a full oven, coffee and tea bar, a microwave, and service settings for eight.

All bedrooms feature lamps with USB ports for easy charging of all electronic devices.

There is an additional in-law suite on the property featuring a 1/1 efficiency (sleeps 2) available for an additional nightly cost if interested. Please note the in-law suite is ONLY available to be rented by guests who rent the larger home.

We stay at this cottage whenever we are in the Palacios area to visit family. It is a clean and healthy rental with friendly property management staff and effective cleaning staff.

This is the Perfect cottage style beach home that is fully stocked and ready for a long stay! We loved every minute of it except for the fact it just wasn’t long enough. We hope to make it back soon a big thank you to Jan and Paige for truly making this a home away from home. It was beautiful in every way.

July 1-July 15thLove this home away from home! Paige and Jan are very easy to work with. Had some trouble dealing with VRBO app to change the reservation tho.The house supplies, cookware, location, cleanliness are the absolute best. Second trip here and will definitely be back.

Great place to stay!

We absolutely loved the house, it was super cute and just as advertised. Great location, we were able to walk down to the pier and fish with ease.

Great place to stay in Palacios! The house is very nice, clean, and has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend this place! Bonus for us that it is close to the fishing piers and park!
