Your Port Alto adventure begins at this lovely 3-bedroom house. With 2 queen beds and 1 twin bed, this property offers a cozy space for guests to relax. With its scenic beaches and relaxed atmosphere, Port Lavaca offers all of the charm of the Texas Gulf Coast, just 20 minuets away. Beyond the little known sandy shores you will discover Port Lavaca is full of surprises. Known for Duck Hunting and Fishing you can also find and enjoy a variety of museums, fascinating historical sites and a performing arts theater. Here are a few of the many attractions in Port Lavaca:

We so enjoyed our stay. The house was really clean and the property grounds are beautiful. Everything works great and furniture is comfy. The host was wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is super polite/friendly. I will say if you are going for fishing particularly the closest live bait shop is 30-40 min drive. Also all fishing charters are 40-55 min drive but absolutely doable. The actual town of Port Lavaca and Port O Connor have everything you would need and are super cute fishing towns. Definitely one of my favorites

If you’re looking for a location that is away from the hustle and bustle but near water activity this is the place you’ll love. It has a very homie, but very decorative comfortable beachy feel. Very clean and yes, a lot of different amenities that we didn’t expect but was glad to have. The great grandkids and the grandkids enjoyed fishing off the pier, in fact in first five minutes all three kids caught a fish. Some of them it was their first time. But unfortunately, that was the only time they caught fish, but still consistently stayed out there and going back out there trying to do it again and again for the day we were there. This trip was to celebrate a 90th birthday and it truly truly was enjoyable and accommodating for the group that we had. The birthday boy was happy as a lark or should I say as happy as a fish. The only downside and it’s nothing to do with the host was that we needed a location that was wheelchair walker friendly as three of the five people were either in wheelchair, walkers or a cane. Unfortunately, this house has a lot of step downs and step ups into different locations of the house. That was the only challenge and there were two of us that was able to accommodate the needs and the assistance for these people. I had searched for a level ground location and this was perfect, but I never thought to ask about the inside level. I will personally wanna go back with some other family and friends that can be challenged with the step ups and step down. Kudo

This was place was what is said it was & more. We really enjoyed the view from the patio. A good place to unwind & enjoy the quiet. Our hosts were top notch..

Our stay was wonderful. Love the house set up and the beautiful view from the huge porch. Big kitchen was fully equipped with pass through window to a bar on the patio. The pictures don't do this place justice. It was so quiet! very relaxing.I plan on going back and use the private pier to with grands and friends who love to fish. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because there was very low water pressure.Couldn't take shower or wash dishes in the dishwasher. There was enough of a dripple to wash by hand.The owner did warn, but we were only spending two nights. I'm sure it will be in good shape next time we go. The view, quiet and peace, large clean home makes this a 5 star place.

One Night Stay

Pleasantly Surprised. I booked a one night stay last minute. While searching for a hotel, I came across this. We made it down there and was impressed with the neighborhood and the entire property. The house is very nice. It has that comfortable Coastal feel. The pier was nice with the lights. I caught several trout under the green light. Most importantly my wife was happy. She manages and cleans several Properties in Point Venture, TX, which makes her a tough critic. She wants to head back down for a longer stay. We highly recommend the Cozy Coastal Retreat. The title says waterfront views. This property is actually on the water which has amazing views. Very well managed. Thanks.

Great place to relax as a family. Located in a nice quiet area with easy access to several fishing/recreation areas. House was clean and roomy with an excellent back porch and plenty of room on the private pier.
