Comfortable home is walking distance to Afton Alps Ski Area and Afton State Park. It is the perfect place to gather with friends and family, while enjoying the great outdoors. Large kitchen with new appliances and tons of cabinet space. Cozy up at either gas fireplace located in spacious family and living room areas. Even a separate den/bedroom that can be used for a quiet hangout or kids space.

Close to Afton, Stillwater, Hastings, and Hudson, WI, all riverfront downtowns with great shopping and dining. 30 minutes to the Twin Cities!

Great place for downhill skiing, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. All located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.

Beautiful all 4 seasons of the year. Plenty of parking onsite if you trailer a boat. Public boat launch within 5 miles. The Fall is apple orchard time in Denmark Township, 4 fantastic orchards within 7 miles. Some of the best fall colors anywhere. Walk to Afton State Park or just a few miles to Saint Croix Bluffs Regional Park and the Carpenter Nature Center.

Access to a two car attached garage. House has Ring cameras outside only for security on front and side entrance.

Ski week

We stayed at this property last year. It is an outstanding property and has a well appointed kitchen and other nice amenities.The host is very responsive to communications, and ensures the property is exactly as depicted in the listing. There is an attached garage that guests are allowed to use. The ski area is just across the road. The town of Hudson is a shshodt drive and has some good restaurants and bars. We had such a good week last year we booked again this year and it was every bit as good. Planning for next year already.

Amazing Ski Weekend!

We have stayed at this property several years in a row and it never ceases to amaze us how perfect it is. The house has a great layout for larger families and the decor is just SO cozy! I swear I sleep better here than any where else and to arrive and be treated with everything you need for a spaghetti dinner…it’s awesome. All of that and my family can just walk across the street to ski. We will be back next year! Thanks for everything.

Christmas 2024

This property was perfect for our family to gather to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the snow. Beautifully decorated for the holidays, had all of the supplies we needed, clean, and the check-in/check-out was a breeze! Highly recommend!

Forever Friends

Wonderful stay near Afton State Park

Spacious home. Very comfortable stay in August. Central air worked well. Loved the natural surroundings. Only slight negative was a bit of musty smell from the damp basement. We kept AC on and it was fine.

End of the road privacy

We were pleased to find that the house was as spacious as described, with plenty of room indoor and out for family visits. The back deck makes a lovely place to gather, and there were plenty of comfortable beds for 6 of us. Our 2 dogs were very happy to be out of the car and to have lots of room to explore. Afton State park is right there, as is the Afton Alps ski area.

Hiking

Perfect location to visit state parks in Minnesota & Wisconsin for hiking. Also enjoyed eating and visiting Hudson, Stillwater, and Prescott. Nice swimming beach at Lake St. Croix Beach. House was just as described had everything we needed. Hot outside during our visit, but A/C worked great perfect to relax and cool off after hiking. Nice deck too

Great Place Just Perfect!

It was the perfect place for us to stay for a Hastings Wedding for our granddaughter. It was comfortable and well stocked with beautiful surroundings. It was so quiet. The piano was a special tough to hear granddaughters play. It was spacious and just perfect. Thank you

Loved staying here

We were so impressed with this house. So much room to spread out. Comfy spaces and beds. And so many extra special touches that made our stay here memorable. Prime location for skiing, as it’s walking distance right across the road and parking lot. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Great ski week

This is a great property. Excellent location across the street from Afton Alps ski area. Very nice house with a lot of room and a great kitchen. The host does some really nice extras that you don’t see everywhere. There was a bottle of wine and some great chocolate set up for us when we walked in. Other nice features are the nice kitchen that has everything you need ( coffee is even supplied). You have the use of the laundry if you have an extended stay, and you can use the garage too. We had a great week of skiing in spite of the warm weather. We enjoyed the deck a couple of afternoons. There is a state park about a half mile away. Looks like they have some good trails for biking or hiking. We liked it so much we booked again.

Holiday Dream Come True

It's a glorious place for large family gatherings. My family, and I stayed for New Years Eve. It was such a spacious well decorated home. They even decorated the home with Christmas trees in both living rooms, there were garland on the fire place and even twinkle lights in one of the bedrooms. You could really see the effort that was put in to make it feel like a cozy place that oozed the holiday spirit!

Cozy and perfect location

This is a great place to stay during ski season: Afton Alps is just 5 minutes away and if you have your own skis and get a lift ticket, you can walk across the road and ski down. The house was very well-decorated for the holidays and our family enjoyed the cozy feel of all the Christmas lights and the two gas fireplaces. There was a lifetime supply of cocoa and coffee K-cups, which we made frequent use of. There is a big yard around the house and Afton State Park is a 2-minute drive away and offers plenty of great views of the river and good dog-walking space.

Lovely home and close to nature

I travel to Woodbury often to visit with family and greatly appreciate the availability of this lovely home. It is close to many parks and walking trails. I plan on visiting again soon with my husband.

Lovely Property

We traveled to this vicinity in hopes of a fall leaf color experience, and to re visit some of the wonderful communities along the Mississippi and St Croix rivers. The trees were not very colorful, but we had a great time visiting the shops and people along the rivers. The home in Afton was a convenient central location. The property was secluded and very private, and even gave us some wildlife viewing opportunities. We enjoyed the amenities of the house, and were especially impressed with the cleanliness of the house. 5 Stars!
