St. Croix Riverview Home...Walking Distance to Downtown Stillwater

Enjoy the views from 3 decks over looking the St Croix River.

Walk downtown and enjoy Stillwater’s historic main street with fabulous restaurants, boutiques, antiques stores, charming old pubs and beautiful parks.

There are a number of activities in the area to keep you entertained such as golfing, spas, kayaking, boating (rentals), cave tours, winery & brewery tours, historical tours, bike/hiking trails, segway tours and paddle boat cruises.

Our home has 6 bedrooms with 5 that are in the home and 1 is in the bonus room above the garage. This is a late 1800's home restored in 2005 with a modern flare. Some of the house has original flooring where other areas are newer. This home is full of room with a large kitchen and family room. The home is on a quiet corner lot and little traffic.

The Bonus room (6th bedroom) is optional and is included booking 12 + adult guests. There is an additional fee for this room and we require a minimum of two adults to occupy this space. We will offer this room under 12 guests with an additional fee if you want the extra bed space. This room is seasonal from April - Oct and not available during the winter months. This space is above the detached garage with no bathroom. but very close walk to the home.

You will find our home to be very inviting and we take pride in how exceptionally clean we keep the home. As you will notice each room will have its own flair.

Note....
We have parking for up to 6 vehicles in our driveway and no off street parking is allowed per city ordinance.
We are also not allowed Events so this means no more than 16 people on the property including overnight guests at any given time! Our home is mainly for overnight guests
with a few visitors that may join for the day.

Our family spent Thanksgiving at the house. 10 people stayed at the house. The house was as described. The kitchen and family areas were fabulous. The kitchen is very well equipped and welcoming. Bedrooms were as described. I would highly recommend this property and the owners were extremely helpful and communicative

Property was great for our extended family. Also pet-friendly. Location very nice with views of St. Croix River and new bridge out front rooms. Tons of things to do in and around Stillwater. A great place to visit!

The home and property were in amazing condition and comfort! Some of the troubles we had: The Bonus Room is NOT attached to the house and does not have a bathroom which caused one of our guests to sleep in the house on the couch. Communication with the owners prior to the visit was not great. My emails went unanswered and they didn't seem to have checked our contact well, thinking we had only booked for 8 rather than 12 as stated in the contract. I was very uneasy going into this property with the lack of communication and misinformation. Once on site and made different sleeping arrangements due to the lack of a bathroom in the bonus room, things were wonderful! Kirk was gracious and friendly, giving us a tour of the property and tips for our stay. The home really is magnificent and I would book it again with a smaller group without the need of the bonus room, we are at an age where a bathroom is needed at night. :)

Gorgeous home, wonderful stay

We stayed a week in this beautiful home, with our children and grandchildren. It had everything we needed to make this a true vacation. The kitchen and bathrooms were better equipped than my own, and my grandkids (9 and 11) said the beds were the most comfortable they had ever slept in.

Family wedding weekend

The home was beautifully decorated and had very comfortable living spaces. Each of the bathrooms had plenty of towels as well as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. The beds were all very comfortable. The view of the river and bridge were gorgeous.

Great Spot!

The overall experience was awesome. Very clean, very large house. Plenty of amenities inside the home that we could use... we cooked and baked while there and there were plenty of tools for that. They allowed both of our large breed dogs as long as they stayed on the main floor which wasn't a problem. The only thing I would change is that they were insistent on a face to face check in, which means we had to be there at a very specific time the first evening. Everything that we briefly discussed with the renter could have been an email, but the luxurious stay more than made up for that flaw.

Stillwater perfect

Our family of 7 loved this home. Spacious and welcoming in a lovely neighborhood with views of the river. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed breakfast on the enclosed porch. Every evening we enjoyed after dinner walks through the neighborhood.

Great property!

Kirk was extremely easy to communicate with and the check in process was smooth and easy! The house is wonderful and accommodated our group perfectly. We did drive to most attractions but it was quick and easy. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great home for family gathering

The home has a great central area with large, well-equipped kitchen and dining area that had plenty of room for a second table for games. In fact the kitchen had enough equipment and dishes that we cooked all but one meal (for 11-13!) during our 5 day stay. The view of the St. Croix from the house was very nice, and Stillwater is a charming community. The only caveat is that the description of the house is misleading. The "6th bedroom" is a bonus room over the garage, with the only access via outside stairs, and there is no bathroom. We were aware of this before we fully committed to the rental, but a more accurate description would be 5 bedrooms with a bonus room over the garage, given any bedroom would be expected to have a bathroom that you could reach without going outside to reach the house. There was a blow-up bed that we put in the living area to create a 6th sleeping space for our large group.

Stillwater stay

We enjoyed this large house with all the amenities. Large yard for the kids to play and we even carved pumpkins. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed walking around the quaint neighborhood and seeing the Halloween displays

We are married with grown children so we call that 'empty nested'. We love the St Croix River, Stillwater and general area. We enjoy boating and usually stay on our boat most of the warm weather season so our house is vacant and available at least 6 months out of the year. We decided to rent out vs. sell until we decide what we would like to do next. It is a big house for just the two of us so we decided to try VRBO since it is a nationally known site and introduces our home to more parties.
