Parking was good, host advice on our day's activities, using the metro and restaurants was so helpful. Provided extras for us like snacks and beverages.

Brilliant stay. I could've stayed much longer if time permitted. Juan's spot in Anacostia (right in the backyard of Frederick Douglass' home) was clean, quiet and had all of the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The neighborhood is quiet and residential and a quick 15 minute walk or even shorter scooter ride to Anacostia station which is only four stops on the train to the National Mall. Juan's place will definitely be at the top of my list for future DC visits. Relaxing stay with great communication and hospitality.

Juan, was a very hospitable host. He and his wife were very helpful with local recommendations as well as teaching us the ways of riding the Metro. Very clean stay with nice added touches and accommodations. Will stay again if ever in DC again!

Directions for Uber/ Lyft was easy, with detailed instructions. The accommodations were very nice, clean, with so many thoughtful extras. The owners were so helpful with great ideas for exploring the city!

Great stay overall! The apartment was clean, cozy, and offered plenty of privacy. The owner was super nice, friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the free snacks and the convenient location, not too far from the train station. Would definitely recommend!

The host and his wife were very welcoming, knowledgeable about local history, and informative of the best ways to “get around”, things to do and restaurants to try! The space was ideal for one person (the lounging/love seat area is really the only space not made for 2 people). The hosts thought of so many small touches that made the stay even better (cold drinks, snacks, menus, metro card, maps, etc). I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Great location and place to stay!

Great location! Very clean and in walking/short driving distance to many shops and restaurants. Hosts were very welcoming and provided great local recommendations. Would stay again!

Host Juan was awesome. He offered great recommendations and was attentive to us. The place was as described. The neighborhood is not the greatest but it seems to be up and coming and it was quiet we did not have any issues here. It is close to the metro station that will get you to the museums. All in all our stay was a pleasant one.

Home base in Washington

Great place, very efficient, very secure. Everything was very clean and there were lots of little things in the apartment to make our stay easier. Would definitely stay here again!

A gem in Anacostia!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this property! Juan is such a gracious host and the property was perfect for what we needed! Loved the snacks and drinks that were there for us as well. Definitely a 5 star place!

I had a wonderful stay here. The hosts are really accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Everything was explained and how everything worked. I loved the snacks and the drinks!

Our second stay at this exceptional property. It is so welcoming, clean, safe, with outstanding hosts. My mom and I stay at this property before an early morning flight and yes, Juan has kindly got up early and driven us to the airport!!! Completely above and beyond. The accommodation is state of the art with all you need and more. I highly recommend.
