Gorgeous 46 acre country property surrounded by trees and nestled into the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills. Perfect place to get away for some peace and quiet to enjoy nature and wildlife. Stone fire pits, pond full of fish, and walking trails around the property.
We welcome families, friends who travels trough the area with RV's or mobil homes as well. There is a fully installed RV station available in a very beautiful place on the property.

Great off-grid stay

Great time at the property even though they are in a historic drought. Host and animals all friendly.

Very enjoyable

This was a great location for us to be away from the hustle and bustle of town. Very beautiful and peaceful place. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Get Away to the Flint Hills

What a lovely place

The house is nice. The view is stunning... the property is great. Location is nicely hidden. We couldn't have had a better time!

Delightful trtreat

We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and hiking at the tallgrass prairie reserve nearby. We will be back.

Beauty in the Flint Hills

Aron and Janice, your ranch is breathtaking. We loved the cottage and the property. The two of you are the epitome of 5 Star Hospitality! Thank you for an amazing home base while we explored the Flint Hills. We had everything we needed and more. The cottage was immaculate, warm, and welcoming! We can't wait to come back. Say hi to Gracie, Lincoln and the cows for us - we miss them!

Quiet and Beautiful

The house was perfectly furnished with everything we needed. The entire property is stunning. The owner has taken great care. Beautiful trails to walk, well maintained yard and home. Views of the Tall Grass Prairies are outstanding. We brought our telescope and star gazed seeing planets, the Milky Way, and even some shooting stars. There’s plenty of area places to visit but one can be perfectly happy to stay right there in quiet and calm.

Weekend Get-Away

The cottage is adorable - so peaceful and serene - the perfect place to get lost from the world. It is several miles off the highway, down gravel roads, which were quite rough. There was a lot of rain during our stay, which made the roads that much more treacherous. We enjoyed watching the cattle graze as we sat on the front porch. Due to the rain, we didn't really get to venture out on the property. I would love to visit again!

Doesn't sleep 6

Nice quaint cottage but it doesn't have enough beds for 6 people. It advertises a futon but there was not a futon or pull out sofa. It has 2 bedrooms with full/queen beds and a couch and loveseat. So if someone sleeps on the couch the cottage sleeps 5 max. So far anyone needing additional sleeping space this isn't the place.

I acknowledge that we removed the futon from the house but failed to update the listing accordingly—this oversight is entirely my responsibility, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it caused. I would also like to mention that your reservation was made for 2 guests, not 6. It is very important to accurately communicate the number of guests staying in the guesthouse to ensure proper accommodations. Additionally, I noticed a significant amount of movement with different people arriving in various vehicles, which was not communicated to me in advance. Please note that this property is rented exclusively for the guests listed in the booking, and prior notice is required for any changes.

Secluded Scenic Oasis

The Den Creek Ranch will convince you at night that you've taken the wrong turn, and the dark quiet night time air convince you that you're miles and miles from civilization. But when you wake with the morning Sun you will see beautiful green prairies and well kept livestock, where you'll happily sip coffee on the front porch swing while the kids check put the grounds or play the xbox. There are plenty of cooking, dining, shower supplies awaiting to accomadate you and yours. We brought food and drinks. After 8 hours of driving/riding my teenagers and I slept like newborn babies both nights. The home was spotless, and adorned with a little local history and timeless beautiful working antiques and decor. If we find ourselves venture back to Kansas from West Texas, we will be booking for a longer stay devoted to more time on this working ranch. Thank you for sharing you're stunning home with us.

Weekend Getaway on the Prairie

Very clean and well maintained. Extremely quiet and remote. Enjoyed walking around and exploring the property. Easy drive of less than 30 minutes to the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Please be aware the property sits in a remote area. The nearest house is a mile away. The nearest town (Cottonwood Falls) is 11 miles away and about a 15 minute drive. But that means beautiful undisturbed views during the day and great stargazing at night. The bedrooms offered zero rod space, but we didn't bring many hanging clothes given the nature of our trip, so it wasn't an issue for us. Outstanding bathroom, good wifi, sketchy cell phone signal (we use Verizon). Side note: we highly recommend The Grand Central Hotel and Grill in Cottonwood Falls for locally sourced beef, and will be a must stop for us whenever we return.

Great stay!

This is a very special property, off the beaten path and in the heart of the Flint Hills. Aron was very accommodating from start to finish. We forgot to bring syrup for our pancake breakfast one morning, and he quickly brought some right over from right next door. The trails were great, and the house was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway in the middle of the Flint Hills yet close to Cottonwood Falls.

Aron was very accommodating and flexible. The facility was comfortable, inviting and clean. Nice amenities onsite yet within a short walk you can be right in the midst of the Flint Hills. Beautiful and Peaceful!

Idyllic!

The cottage was perfect: cozy, comfortable, attractive, and spotless. Aron kindly greeted me with a tour, and every comfort and convenience were provided. I loved sitting on the front porch to read, enjoy the beautiful and quiet setting, and to watch the sunset. I’m looking forward to return visits.

Brenda was very lovely guest we enjoyed hosting her. She is sweet, polite and left our home very clean after her stay. We would definitely host her again and recommend her to other hosts.
