Perfect Colorado Christmas

This house was a perfect Christmas getaway for my wife and me, our daughter who lives a couple hours away and our son who flew in from Raleigh. It is wooded and quiet yet just a 45 minute drive into Denver. The house had everything we needed. It was fun to watch the deer outside and we even saw a bobcat! Dennis answered messages within minutes and was very easy to work with. It didn't take long to feel at home. Downtown Evergreen is close and has lots of shops and restaurants. We would recommend this place for rest and relaxation after checking out Denver and nearby towns.

Place was great but no phone service and Internet was very weak. Could not watch television or connect to work when necessary. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Area is beautiful!

Overall, our stay was fantastic?

Dennis was an amazing host, always available and helpful. The house was spotless, quiet, and perfectly located for wildlife viewing. We especially appreciated being able to check in early, thanks to Dennis's flexibility. The amenities were great and enjoyed the wrap around porch and grilling out. The minor issue was a non-functional dryer. However, Dennis was quick to respond and tried to fix it, which we appreciated but was unsuccessful. Despite this small hiccup, we highly recommend this rental.

Great Place

We were three friends in need of some nature and relaxation. This place did not disappoint. The view is lovely and hearing the trees in the wind, seeing the squirrels chase and play, and the deer eating right beside the house was a blessing for sure! I'd stay again. Really quick communication with the host. A+

Birthday at Red Rock!

Dennis was very easy to communicate with. The house was remote, up crazy/fun twisted turning roads. But a very beautiful property, completely remodel and sparkling clean inside, and fully stock! Very quiet neighborhood. If you do have problems with stairs this home maybe a challenge. I highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Great views, peaceful and relaxing!

We arrived to town early and Dennis allowed us to check in early which was greatly appreciated. The house was clean and cozy, and very well-stocked. We enjoyed the various outdoor lounge areas and beautiful views. Thanks for letting us enjoy your property, Dennis!

Great property

Tucked away above Evergreen yet easily within reach of Redrocks, Denver, and Golden. Very comfortable house with a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Dennis was easy to text with. Highly recommended! Thanks for a great stay Dennis!

The Mountains Call

Wonder home set in an approachable and convenient location within the mountains. You are 15 minutes from downtown Evergreen or Bergen and or can be in Golden, Denver, Idaho Springs, Blue Sky, etc within 30 minutes. The home was very clean and extremely well appointed. Wildlife is all around and you are very close to the Elk Meadow Park. You feel remote without the need to drive into the wilderness. Owner was great to communicate with and I would recommend the property to families or friends traveling in the area.

Idyllic place

Immerse yourself in nature, be away from urban trappings including electronic media. Numerous birds, a big brown bear, fox, owl etc sighted. Detox, great family time. Thank you, Dennis. Would love to come back!

Beautiful place

One word of caution. We had almost no cell service (AT&T and Verizon) and the internet was down the entire 7days of our stay. I gave them 5 stars as this may not be a common occurrence and the hosts were kind. Otherwise, it was perfect for our family. It did force us to unplug (which except for the 3 out of the 6 of us who had to work) was a good thing. The house is nestled in the foothills and almost completely surrounded by trees. We got to see quite a bit of wildlife. We enjoyed driving the winding roads that lead to it. We drove around quite a bit to see other sites in CO and it was great to come back to this place each day. I would come back here.

Stay away. Fraudulent listing and poor communication

Although this is a nice property, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. When I booked it it was listed in two places as having a hot tub and there was a photo of the tub on the deck at night. When I got there, there was no hot tub, and there hadn't been one in that location for a while. I immediately contacted the renter, and got no response. Had to contact VRBRO an file a complaint before I got a response. I was promised a partial refund. They never followed thru. Eventually denying that there had ever been a hot tub in the listing. I have admissions to such and screenshots of the listing. Following up with VRBO didn't yield results. I paid too much for a place that didn't have the feature I was specifically looking for.

Wonderful!

We were in the area for a concert in Denver but we are not really city people so we chose this house. It was definitely the right choice!! The area is beautiful, the house was cozy, clean and we felt right at home! There were other houses nearby but it felt secluded. We absolutely loved watching about 15 deer walking all around the yard! I did have to contact the owner about something and they were very responsive and helpful!! We will definitely stay here again when we get to Colorado again!!

Family holiday

Although the property is nice, beautiful views, well equipped kitchen, I was overall disappointed in the communication with the host, Dorothy. Our trip was a late Christmas celebration with my family from Utah, Colorado and Kansas. Upon arrival we started dinner prep, and the range/oven went out. It appeared to be a circuit breaker issue. It wasn’t repaired until the evening of our second day. This resulted in going out for two dinners and breakfast. Our plan was to cook all meals together. While the host tried to resolve the problem, she also expressed her confusion to me regarding the range not working since it worked for her the week before. This felt like she indicated it was my fault with no understanding or apology expressed for our situation. After our stay, I reached out to Vrbo requesting compensation for the meals we had out. The home is much farther from town than I expected, it was snowing and driving was a challenge. I was extremely disappointed. We were unable to use much of the food we brought. VRBO reached out to the host two times regarding my request. I received NO response from the host.

Perfect for families

This was our second stay with family for Christmas. Spacious, clean, comfortable and welcoming in a beautiful mountain setting. Host was very responsive when we ran into a problem with a shower head in one of the bathrooms and had it fixed in just a couple of hours. Highly recommend this property!

Quiet escape in the mountains

Beautiful stay in the Evergreen area. Plenty of activities within a short and always amazing drive. The home was very nice and suited our family well. Great outdoor spaces for watching the stars or passing wildlife. Would recommend!

Girls trip to Red Rocks

We loved the scenery and privacy of the property, however it would have been nicer to be closer to town. We were in town for a show at Red Rocks and the swichbacks were tricky at night. Would have enjoyed having more patio furniture to take in the beautiful views.

Wonderful getaway!

The house is wonderful - it’s exactly as shown in the photos. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need for our family dinners. and the beds were very comfortable. We loved having our morning coffee on the deck, watching for deer and elk. We would definitely stay here again.
