You'll find no other house near the Rend Lake area that will offer you this down home peaceful country experience. You’ll stay in a private, three bedroom home sitting on 2 acres. This home is ALL yours for a night, a weekend or a week. Rend Lake is full of catfish, bass and blue gill ready for the grill or catch and release. Rend Lake is also known as one of the top crappie fishing lakes in the region . Bring the kids, and enjoy all the amenities this guest house has to offer. Spend the evening relaxing on the back patio while enjoying watching the deer and turkeys in the back yard. Just a half mile from Rend Lake dam.. there is a 2 night minimum. Thanksgiving holiday

Perfect for what we needed. Love the updates that have been done. The showers are amazing. Some old charm has been kept also. Really nice and close to my family.

Wedding Weekend

My daughter’s wedding and reception venue were at the spillway recreation area and this house was only a half mile away. It worked out perfectly and the house was just the space we needed to get ready and be close by. Everything was as it is listed. Very happy with this rental and recommend to anyone that needs to stay close in that area.

Perfect getaway for the weekend

The home is very comfortable for 7 adults. We enjoyed watching the deer in the backyard. We contacted the owner and they were very quick to respond. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Animal Sanctuary

We really enjoyed the property. It backed up to the woods. Visited by several family of deer, hawks and various species of birds. Peaceful sitting on the patio drinking coffee and unwinding. Near the lake and not far to wineries, restaurants and other sites. Don’t hesitate to book here. Great value.

Great place close to a boat ramp

Liked that the house was so close to the lake. It is a bit outdated, but had everything we needed. The privacy was great and the back yard, with deer, reminded us of hime.It was a challenge to turn around in the driveway with a boat in tow, but we managed by backing in from the main road, I didn't want to drive in the grass.Would stay here again.

Perfect for our family

This property was exactly as described-beautiful backyard, plenty of room for our whole family and very clean. We all felt at home, relaxed and secure. Owner is very friendly and very accommodating. Wish we could rate this as a perfect 10!

This place has everything you need in the kitchen. I bought alot of stuff like coffee sugar creamer

This place is beautiful very clean. Love the outside atmosphere. You seem deers turkeys very pretty. I will stay again if we decide to go to tend lake again.

Close to the lake.

Everything was as the said it was. The only thing that was wrong was the fan in the master bedroom didn’t work. The chain was missing and no room to turn a boat around in driveway. But other than that we all enjoyed our stay there. We will be back again!!!!

Great location!

As others have stated, the wildlife is abundant from deer to turkey and more. Great communication and check in process! Mike is a very accommodating host, great house with plenty of beds and updated bathrooms. Spacious kitchen and living room with multiple couches make this a good venue for up to 8 people. Thanks Mike!

Perfect location if you're heading to Rend Lake

The marina was 5 minutes away. It was a very quiet area with a large backyard area. The pictures showed deer and those pictures were accurate! The showers were great and living and dining room were spacious and met our needs perfectly. Everyone was comfortable. I would stay here again.

Great little house, very close to Rend Lake Beach and marina.

We had a great time visiting my son who lives in the area. Near to Shawnee National forest and Rend Lake. Very peaceful.

House near Rend Lake dam

This house was well-suited as a base for 4 adults in our family who spent a 3-day trip fishing on the lake May 5-7, 2022. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners.
