Rend Lake is the perfect spot for water sports, hunting and fishing, or just enjoying a beautiful hike along the concrete bike trails! Hill House is just 5 minutes from the town of Benton, 10 minutes from Rend Lake, 30 minutes from a more urban area and one hour from the Wine Trails. Spend your days on the lake, going on a winery tour, or exploring the area and your evenings on the porch enjoying the firepit! In addition, Hill House has a covered barn that will hold two boats with electricity to charge batteries!

We absolutely loved the time spent at Hill House! From the moment pulled in the driveway we instantly it instantly felt like home. Not fancy, but the elements and creature comforts that make a house a home. And SPACE!! Very spacious!! Plenty of room for families to gather, and then some! Need something you forgot to pack, and not already provided (unimaginable!! ), shopping options aren’t far. Comfortable living room & comfy furnishings. for all to gather. Comfortable beds & pillows. And the rooms individually heated to what best suits your preference. Having come in to visit family, Hill House was a great central location for us to see them all without bouncing around taking up precious visitation opportunities. Be sure to consider (and Book!) when in search of a place to stay in Southern Illinois. From parks, hiking trails, Rend Lake, to a multitude of dining &/or shopping options within easy reach. We highly recommend!

The Hill House is a great place to stay! Clean, roomy, has plenty of extra supplies. Patio area super nice! Some of our family loved the fishing pond. Ed was very friendly. Close enough for family reunion and plenty of stores and restaurants close by. But still out in the peace n quiet.

Great!

This house is the perfect place for a get away with family or friends. We brought our boat and was glad to store it under cover just in case it rained. 10 minutes from S Marcum boat ramp. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Great communication! We will for sure stay here again!

Military retreat

Bunch of old vets used to sharing a camper. This place was a welcomed change. Plenty of room for 6 men. Close enough to Benton. Far enough not to disturb anyone. Hosts were great. Very clean and comfortable.

My self and two sons and one great sun in law, stayed at the house while on a fishing outing.The house was clean and very comfortable, the hoste and family was very helpful If we go back to this area would probably stay here again

Moms celebration of life

Thank you for the property. It was perfect for celebrating my mom as she has passed on. Allowing us to spent time with family and friends was a great help to allow me to have some closure.

Long weekend

Property was very nice and a perfect location for boating for the weekend. Will 100% be back. Only con is we wished there was another bed instead of a futon. Other than that we have no complaints. Great property!

Eclipse trip

I will say, this was a great place to see a total eclipse. I know that won't be an opportunity there for a long time. But even without a solar eclipse, this was a lovely place to stay. The house and yard was nice place to relax with friends. The town is very quaint. We hung out in the square visiting the shops for several hours.
