Kim B. 11.2.23 Locked in my bedroom no help until next morning at 9am
Gave the Chandler loc 1 star due to the following:
1. Unit code did not work upon arrival. Text to agent was immediately replied to and a new code given. Really a small thing.
2. Was locked inside the bedroom. Got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and the closed door would not open! Door knob just turned, but did not release the bolt. Texted agent who did respond quickly, but was told no one could be there until 9am that morning. When asked what to do about needing a restroom I was told to climb out my window, re-enter building, and use another unit temporarily for bathroom purposes, leave building, and re-enter my unit through the open and unlocked window. WHAT?! Someone previous to me had to have had the same situation occur as the screen was broken and torn off to allow for an exit out the window. For context, I had engaged the security bolt over the door so I was not able to access my unit from the hallway after crawling out the window. I was able, after a couple hours of working on the door with a hanger, to pull the door back enough & jam the hanger upwards to spring the bolt myself.
3. Maintenance came the next day but did not replace or fix the door knob, they simply removed the bolt.
4. After my 3 night stay I inquired about any refund for having to crawl out my window, leave my unit open and unlocked to use a restroom in the middle of the night and was told by the agent they would check with management. 10 days later no response to that request.
