Ski Weekend

Our family really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The kitchen is well equipped and the themed decor adds to the cozy charm of the cabin. We enjoyed making a fire both evenings. We’d definitely stay here again.

Lovely Cabin in Wintergreen

Cabin was absolutely charming! Comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and a great location. The cabin was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise and added an extra special touch to our stay. Communication with owner was excellent, rental was as advertised. Will visit again!

Cabin Stay With Friends

Our group of 8, long-time friends shared a wonderful get-away weekend at Joy Cabin. The weather outside was less than ideal, but that didn't matter, because we made good use of the well-appointed kitchen, the terrific fireplace, and all the charm the cabin has to offer. We'll be back!

Perfect cozy cabin for a family getaway

My family loved our long weekend at this cabin! From the cozy fireplace to the spacious rooms, we felt right at home. We are already looking at staying here again next year. The hosts were responsive and helpful too. Highly recommend!

Much needed escape

Can’t say enough about this fantastic cabin! I’ve never stayed at a home w such a well appointed kitchen! The house was decorated beautifully and was delightfully cozy. And our best hikes were right outside our back door! Can’t wait to come back.

Weekend ski trip

We had a great time on our family ski trip! Cabin was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. Owner was quick to respond to anything we needed or questions we had. Conveniently located a couple of minutes to ski slopes. Would stay at this cabin again!

July 4th Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Joy Cabin. Everything was exactly as advertised and the host was very attentive. The cabin has everything you need and was in a great location with plenty of hikes just off the property and in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this rental!

Charming mountain retreat.

Charming, nicely appointed mountain cabin. Probably our favorite of the many we’ve rented at Wintergreen over the years. High quality linens and mattresses, nicely stocked kitchen, cozy fireplace, and lots of extras. Very friendly and responsive host. Book this property if you have the opportunity. We hope to return soon.

Cozy, Charming Log Cabin

This cabin was perfect for my large dog and siblings. It felt like a warm hug when we entered and the whole time we were there. I use VRBOs and this one was the best stocked in terms of all kitchen items and drinkware. The word burning fire place was also one of the best. Super easy to make fires and the hosts were generous to offer so much free wood.

Wonderful Cabin Vacation

The cabin is absolutely beautiful with incredible attention to detail. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owners even left a special dog bone for our dog! Our kids loved their room with identical day beds and a foosball table! As others have said, the kitchen is lovely and has everything you could want. The owners were very responsive and kind. We hope to go back again next year!

Birthday get away

I and my closet 5 friends really enjoyed Joy Cabin to celebrate my 41st birthday. We are all Christmas enthusiasts and were so excited to see the Christmas decor. I have traveled to many homes in wintergreen for my birthday over the years and this house by far was the most accommodating. Any thing you could possibly need this house has for you. It is extremely cozy and we all look forward to coming back next year.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautifully decorated. It was very cozy and relaxing. There was plenty of room for everyone. The surrounding area was very nice and the hiking trail out back was easy enough for a beginner. We had everything we needed with the exception of a hair dryer, coffee, and laundry detergent. Keep that in mind if you plan to stay here so you can bring your own. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This cabin and setting is absolutely stunning!

This cabin is so relaxing, and beautifully decorated, you will never want to leave! I loved the reading nook near the fireplace. It has everything that you will need to cook, even true gourmet meals and baking. There are plenty of dishes, pots, bowls, serving dishes, baking sheets, etc. The chiminea area and seating out back are super cute and great for making smores and sitting around and chatting with friends. This was a perfect place for our family to gather to celebrate our son’s graduation from UVA. Thank you!!!

Spring Cabin Stay

We loved this property! It was so cozy and welcoming and had so many amenities. Everything was well thought through and wonderful. We had two families - 4 adults and 5 boys under the age of 12. Wandering the woods in the back was their favorite. That and s'mores.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We loved everything about this charming cabin! We were looking for a place to relax and spend time as a family and this was the perfect place to be. The cabin could not be more charming, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice time. We can't wait to come back!

2 Family stay for Liberty U Commencement

Very beautiful and well appointed cabin in the mountains. We were staying in the area to attend my son's graduation ceremony. Only a 1 hour commute to Lynchburg. Another plus was only 2 steps for my 90 year old dad to climb to get into the cabin and the no stairs to downstairs bedroom. Kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. Decorations are awesome throughout cabin, beds are comfortable. Having an easy time use fireplace with supplied wood is a plus. Would stay here again very nice and comfortable cabin.

Such a cute Cabin!

The cabin was absolutely the cutest and most well decorated and stocked vacation property I've ever stayed at. We were so relaxed and felt so cozy and had every kind of utensil and dish and glassware you could imagine. They even had thermal coffee mugs with lids to enjoy out by the fire or on the porch. The beds were ultra comfy and having access to the Wintergreen shuttle at the touch of our fingertips was also a super nice perk! My only super minor complaint would be: 1) spiderwebs and found some spider eggs on first level near fireplace. However, this is a rustic cabin in the mountains so that is sort of to be expected. Hopefully they get the eggs vacuumed up soon. 2) Fireplace was amazing, however it got really smokey inside the house so we had to open windows everywhere for the smoke smell to air out. We opted not to do a fire the next day due to the smokiness caused from it. We have a wood burning fireplace at our home and it never smells this bad. So you may want to have it looked at or serviced. It's possible it was something minor but we didn't have time to try and figure it out. We will 100% stay here again. It was a delightful and cozy cabin with everything you need to make it a wonderful stay!

Cute property and great location and amenities

Great property! Check in process was new and required a couple of phone calls and convincing the Wintergreen resort staff that we were supposed to check in at their office. We lost power and internet for awhile and the Wintergreen crew was very responsive to the problem. Propert itself was wonderful - clean and cute.
