Hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. The Riders Roost is located 5 miles from Nelsonville and Wayne National Forest. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. 15 miles from the cabin, guests will run into Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.

Post is very welcoming and accommodating but Kevin was very clean Hot tub was clean and awesome it's very cozy spacious I would definitely stay there again

The house was huge! Plenty of space. Hot tub was great actually had to turn it down a few times because it was too hot 102⁰ but location was great, also has a pool, but it wasnt open set still out of season a bit, but wiuld live to stay again so we could use the pool.

Property was just as described in listing!

We were very pleased with our stay. Close to atv trails, which was great for our family, but also close enough to explore hocking hills. Hot tub, and fire pit were both great. We would stay again for sure!

Nelsonville Music Festival

Very cozy house for 7 adults staying for the Nelsonville Music Festival. House was comfortable and as described with easy communication with owners. Would definitely stay again!

My girlfriend group of four stayed as we were participating in the Mammoth March. The home was a bit challenging to find and the cell service is spotty but it was indeed a relaxing refuge following a grueling 20 mile hike! They had a well appointed kitchen, lots of towels and the air conditioning worked nicely! The hot tub was absolutely a dream after the hike!

Riders Roost

We enjoyed our stay at Riders Roost. Property was clean and had what we needed for our stay. We spent time exploring Hocking Hills State Park and were able to come back and relax after our hikes. Check in/ check out was easy and we were given suggestions for things to do and places to eat.

House had everything

This place was great! Clean, big, plenty of space, hotub was clean, propane tank was full. We will probably be back!

Kitchen was fully equiped for cooking. Nice size driveway and yard. Everything was clean. The heat distributed a little funky as the 2 downstairs bedrooms got a bit cold at night. Probably should add a note that there isn't any cell reception in the house (we had nothing on Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile). The wifi had good signal strength and was fairly fast and it was definitely our lifeline without reception :). Host had good communication.

Great house

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Close drive to Hocking Hills and to Athens. We loved coming home each day to the awesome hot tub. House offers lots of room and was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. We walked a bit directly behind the house on what seemed to be an old ATV path and it was very pretty and serene.

The ac had a hard time keeping up, but honestly most ac units would with a large place. Its understandable!. The hot tub was relaxing. The grill was dirty and there was mouse poop in drawers and food on the fridge handles. There was a dead mouse on a sticky pad outside a broken window and a broken door knob. Not complaining, just want to give a heads up for maybe the next guest in case they're a bit more picky. But overall it was a great much needed get away! The couches were super comfortable as well! And im in love with the layout of the place! Also, have a great day! Romans 1:18.

Beautiful property right next to the woods

My partner and I are in our 60's, so having a nature spot to enjoy, a very nice hot tub, and an indoor whirlpool tub was quite therapeutic. Overall a peaceful weekend to pamper and recharge! Would recommend :)

Great trip!

For the price, this place is a steal! It was very clean, spacious, and had all of the things we were looking for. We had a great hike and enjoyed being outdoors the majority of our time. The only thing I would have liked better would be a contactless check in, instead of driving into town to sign in and get a key. All in all, this was the prefect two day getaway for the three of us and our two dogs!

Enjoyed Riders Roost

Very roomy place. Enjoyed stay, even with the bad weather. Quiet location. Unfortunately no cell service and no land line, so you have to drive in town to communicate with property management. All the staff at Adventure Pro Outdoors were super nice and helpful.

Memorial getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, I did have to wash the frying pan before using, still had food on it from the previous tenants. I had forgot to bring spices, having a few basics in the cupboards would of been great. Other than that it was great stay, and woulddo it again..

The home is an older 2 story home which was not an issue in the slightest. You have to go into Nelsonville and pick the key up and return it their as well which is a hassle because it has a key lock box right on the home, that was the best of the inconveniences though. The home had no central air just a window 5000 btu for the upstairs and one for the downstairs in 1 of the 2 bedrooms and it did not have a cover on it and had black mold all over it. You could not open the screen doors and try to get cool air in because the only one it had the screen was tore out of it. I am from the country so I know that bugs exist in areas like this but the mosquitos and horse flys are crazy their bug spray was of no help and the grass was ankle high so being at the fire pit was impossible due to the jiggers in the grass. The pool was very cloudy and had dirt in the bottom the hot tub was not something we got in because to the side of it was standing water and you could see the bugs swarming all around it. At check out the girl ask if we called and my response was you knew what them 2 little air conditioners where doing for that home you put them in it if I wanted to spend my time with people working I would not of rented a property. So you could not stand to be indoors it was so hot and you could not stand to be outside getting ate up by the bugs. It was a miserable situation for the 1100 paid for 40 hours
