Cape San Blas Cottage - steps to the beach - beach side of Cape

The Dolphin Dance cottage is just a short walk - 30 yards or so - to the sparkling white beach of Florida's Gulf Coast. It sits on the beach side of the road, behind the beachfront properties. Minutes from Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas is quiet and remarkably free of the high-traffic, tourist area crowd. Cape San Blas is a peninsula, so there is no 'thru-traffic' to deal with either. If you are looking for a quiet, family atmosphere near the unspoiled beaches of Florida, Cape San Blas is a must for your summer vacation.

The kitchen has full-size appliances and a dishwasher in the center island. A stackable washer/dryer unit is in the smaller bedroom closet. Roku TV in the living room & Smart TVs in the bedrooms. Wi-fi is included. Bathroom has a walk-in shower stall. Sorry...no boat or trailer parking, but there are marinas nearby. Only one vehicle space available per reservation, no exceptions possible due to limited parking. Due to severe pet allergies, we cannot allow pets. We apologize, but we cannot make exceptions for that either and we do check.

One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has a full size bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living area. Due to the cottage size, we recommend no more than 4 adults to fit comfortably.

Conveniently located behind the Tradin' Post, which offers pizza, various hot foods and sandwiches, groceries, toiletries and almost anything you may have forgotten! There is also an ice cream stand and some mornings there is a fresh hot doughnut stand.

Restful week

This is the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed at. It was spotless. It is hard to find a location close to beach, pet free, for a couple or small family. This is a compact cabin but has everything needed. No real beach view but steps to beach. We enjoyed the back deck for outside relaxation. It is close to The Trading post. It was very quiet. We had a comfortable week away.

Comfy Cottage

Small yet comfortable cottage in a convenient location. Short walk to beach and Trading Post store. Very clean and easy check in. Rated at 4.5 due to poor kitchen wares, absence of paper products, and light outages.

Location, location, location!

This is the second time I have booked a stay at this beach cottage and I did that for a reason! The location is excellent! The beach is a few steps away from the house and a few steps away from the Tradin’ Post! The cottage is comfortable, welcoming, and it has everything you need! We had a fire on the beach one night and it was a great time! You will never see a better sunset in Florida than on the Cape. Book now!

Perfect beach cottage

Super cute and comfy beach cottage. Great location ..100 yards or so to beach and 100 yards or less the opposite direction to BBQ, pizza, grocery store, liquor store,donut vendor and ice cream stand. No need to drive anywhere !!Excellent communication from owner.

Sweet Getaway

My family and I loved our stay! It was a very convenient walk to the beach and was just big enough for us and our two littles. We loved that we were able to walk to grab lunch/ supplies at the Trading Post and surrounding shops. Every single person we met was so kind! We had a wonderful week.

Dolphin Dance is a great interlude

The cottage is really just a short walk to the beach was sorry there was not much of a shell line this visit but that cant be helped. Definitely recommend this to others

The Perfect Place to Stay

We loved staying in this cottage. It was perfect as far as affordability and location. The owner was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our family feel right at home. The cottage had everything that we needed. The beds were so comfortable!! We have been to the Cape so many times and this was our second time staying here and we loved it! It was so hard to leave because of how much we felt right at home. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to stay here. I hope my review helps others to pick this place, too!

Cape sanblas getaway

The beds were comfy,however the bathroom was missing a towel holder and the direct tv didn’t work. I sent a text but never heard back. Otherwise it was a nice getaway.

cozy family time

This was a great place for me, my husband, and our teenage daughter to have some good family time. The beach is a short walk away and there are chairs, umbrella, and toys already on the porch for you to take. It is also a short walk to the trading post and the ice cream shop! The place was super clean!. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Getaway

My partner and I loved staying at this property and considered it a huge upgrade from our previous year's accommodations in the area. Being in such a short walking distance to the beach, a general store, a coffee shop, and delicious restaurant made for an easy week-long stay. The property was well maintained and lovely to return to after every beach outing. Only issue we had was with the refrigerator not cooling initially, but that was quickly resolved with a simple reset. Cant wait to visit again next Summer!
