We had a wonderful stay!!

My family truly enjoyed our stay!! The house was exactly as described/pictured. It was absolutely spotless. It is also very well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were comfortable in every room, from the living room, to the bedrooms to the outdoor spaces. We will definitely be back for another stay

Time Out for the WIN!

Our family had a one-of-a-kind experience at Time Out! We had a great time. The proximity to the beach with the help of a shuttle that was always on time was wonderful. The home provided everything and more that we could need. There was plenty of room for everyone. The owners provided so much for us to enjoy ... a wonderful backyard with a beautiful firepit and surrounding Adirondack chairs, a grill and picnic table under a pretty pergola, a Bocce Ball court, and a wonderful screened-in porch. The home is located in the very quiet Kiva Dunes golf development ... which made our stay twice as nice! All of the activities of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, etc. are just a short drive away. We had the BEST of both worlds! Book this home NOW!

Eternally memorable

Beautiful home. Thoughtful home owners that had games for our enjoyment available for us and a grill to use with outside and back porch seating. Also the beds and pillows felt like clouds. We slept like babies. The place was spotless and we felt safe in the incredible area and neighborhood it’s in. Private beach and beautiful pools. Everyone we met was happy and enjoying life. This trip was incredible and memorable thanks to the use of this amazing home!!! We will be back for sure !!!!!

Time for a Timeout

Timeout is a wonderful family place inside the very nice Kiva Dunes community. Timeout has been recently and nicely remodeled. Since I have bad knees, the out of service elevator would have been nice to access the upper floor bedrooms. Other than upgrading the two guest bedrooms to queen beds, we could recommend no further changes. My family (kids and grandkids) throughly love this place and have stayed here 4 out of the last 6 years. It and Kiva Dunes are one of our favorite places.

Time out

The home was nice but the overall experience was not. First off we rented a place and was backed out on and able to get time out. The home was very nice but floors were dirty and door know fell off upon entry. The maintenance guy showed up 2 days later to fix it and a toilet seat that we did not report, so no telling when that was reported. The subdivision is very nice.

Advantages

The house overall was very nice, home feeling. Beautiful actually, However, the John Wayne toilet paper was a disappointment. Recommend buying your own. The ability to use the elevator in the home would have been nice. I also understand why they had it lock. This home is the last home on in the neighborhood, so it is next to the hwy which is busy all hours of day and night! If your not use to hearing the traffic it will keep you awake. The community is amazing tho. It is about a 20 minute walk to the beach with stairs but worth it. There is a shuttle that operates as part of the amenities. You have to put a card on file for the beach club access to the pool and all. Which I didn't mind. Even with the hwy and all I would stay again. If they offered reasonable rates for monthly rentals I would take that option. I would even consider a purchase of this home just due to the gated community. If you need groceries or anything would purchase in gulfshores. The dollar general had limited stock. The home was clean; but short on bed sheets and blankets. The ac works very well. I wasn't disappointed and would stay there again.

Stay at the beach

House was clean and very comfortable. In a gated community and the property was in great shape. Check in to get to property was a challange. It took an hour to figure it out to find the right guard shack. Other guest were having the same problem. The property listing show a pool and mentions a gym and private beach. The home owner must pay the clubhouse fees for you to be able to access these places. We did not have access which was very frustrating considering it was not what we paided for.

Beautiful home, a little far from restaurants and stores

Beautiful home, very clean and lots of space to spread out if you're traveling with a larger group. Home is located within a resort area and access is a little tricky if you're following GPS as it will take you to a owner's only gate you won't be able to access. Meyer Realty (if I recall name correctly) handles this rental for Vacasa. They are NOT helpful at all. Seemed to have difficulty finding our reservation and knew nothing about the property, i.e. when we called for help locating due to gate issue, they had no idea what we should do and had to call someone else. The resort the home is located within is beautiful. There are two pools, one of which is smaller and heated. There are multiple access points to the beach and beach was not very crowded. There is also a shuttle you can call to take you to the pools and beach access points at no charge. No one told us this benefit however, we had to discover all of this on our own by just talking to other people who were there on vaca. WiFi is terrible. If you intend to do anything sort of work or use a laptop while visiting, good luck. We even had difficulty streaming anything on the multiple televisions within the home. With little kids in tow, that was disappointing and multiple members of our family ended up maxing out data plans trying to accommodate the poor WiFi. Again, the home is beautiful and everything described. Bedrooms are ample size and there's lots of room! Kitchen is adequately stocked with virtually anything you would need to cook at home as well.

We first received very poor direction to get to our house and on how to get into our house. When we arrived it was filthy. Under the beds had food and trash, shower was dirty, mold in the ice machine and dish washer.

Extremely disappointed for my family

Beautiful neighborhood. We had to go to office for keys as we could not get the lockbox code. Average temperatures on second and third floors was above 85 degrees 24 hours every day. Huge dust bunnies under beds and furniture. Used latex glove left in floor in bathroom. Someone’s bra left hanging in bathroom. Empty propane tank in outside grill. Microwave oven broke and was eventually replaced with the smallest microwave oven ever created, it was dirty, stained, and was badly rusted inside and out. Getting anyone to answer the phone was a trial. Personnel at the office were not familiar with the property and seemed more concerned with whatever was going on in the back offices than helping out up front, and the whatever was not the business at hand. It was shameful for everyone to sleep downstairs on couches in a beautiful vacation home as sleep was impossible in the bedrooms from the heat. What makes it worse was that the property managers knew of this issue and still rented this property and did nothing to help while we were there. I have been covered up the week following my vacation, but I do plan on speaking with corporate management as well as the Florida real estate commission, Florida State Attorney General, BBB concerning there business practices, breach of contract, and compensation.

Location was great. There were a few items it said was supplied but did not have but nothing major. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was the bathrooms that had showers/tubs had no access other than the bedroom it was in which made the top floor bedroom users have to get thru someone’s bedroom for showers. Private beach area and great location. Fact that owner accepts non-Saturday to Saturday rentals is very helpful. We were first rental following storm damage repair and everything was in great shape except small centipedes were literally coming out of the baseboards. Killed probably 50-60 and still coming when we left. They didn’t present a problem except they were crawling all over the 1st floor floors. The property is well maintained and very organized. We have been renting vacation homes for 12 years, and this is the first one where the shelves in the kitchen were labeled for dish placement. Kitchen was well stocked including a crock pot! Brand new grill was ready for us. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
