Boat? Jet skis? No problem! Marina for Eagle Lake Marina is right next door where you can easily unload all your water toys and be close to your boat trailers etc.

Enjoyed our stay

We rented this house for my daughter and her friends as we were in Fort Worth to celebrate her 21st birthday. The house was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space for everyone (15 of us). We had everything we needed.

Just what we were looking for

We were having a wedding in the area and this was nearby, could hold lots of people so it was what we were looking for. Looks like it was being remodeled slowly but everything that we needed to worked so it was nice.

Beyond Our Expectations!!

There are not enough words to express our stay. Prior to booking I spoke with Martha and confirmed we could have a family get together As I was trying to set up a “reunion”. Not many places will allow large groups and was thrilled when she gave the go ahead. Property was perfect and there was more than enough room for everyone and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The kids enjoyed the playroom and the water. We were able to bring 2 boats as well. We visited with family we hadn’t seen in 30 years. This WILL be a yearly thing and look forward for to booking with Marta again!!

Perfect!

We had a family reunion across the lake so this was a convenient place to crash at the end of the day! Super comfy beds and lots of space. We didn’t get to enjoy the house as much as we wanted to bc of family obligations during the day! Thank you for a great experience!

Not what expected

We chose this location because we find it attractive. However, when we got there, nothing was set up. We were interested in the game room and nothing works. The house has a bad odor and you can hear the floor creaking on the second floor. The manager was not helpful and did not explain anything properly. We had to leave a day early

In town for family wedding

Martha was an excellent host, very quick to respond to questions and graciously accepted delivery of groceries and put away for us before our arrival. Home was nice, however was going through a remodel at time of our stay.

Perfect weekend!

The house was immaculate and bigger than we expected. Being right by the lake and having a fire pit there wasn’t anything else we could have asked for. The host of the property responded to questions immediately as well.

Family stay

Martha was awesome to communicate with, responding within minutes to all inquiries. We experienced a nasty storm while there and she sent a text to call her is anything was needed or happened during the storm. The homes was comfortable for all 14 of us with plenty of elbow room. I will go there again if ever in Texas again. Lots of outdoor shade on both of the patios. We didn’t get to utilize the lake because we were so busy. I highly recommend this place for gatherings and amazing hosts

A true home away from home.

The only problem is there are not enough stars available to reflect our experience. This home exceeded our expectations. We came here to be together for the activities of a family wedding . No one wanted to leave the lake house. The kids LOVED everything about it. So much to do for kids and adults alike. Martha was just AMAZING. She, WAS SO WELCOMING. I wish all hostesses were as engaged and helpful as she was.The kitchen was easily accessible and had anything needed to prepare meals. Plenty of both indoor and out door space for our group to cook and eat together.. Beds were all clean and very comfortable. Lots of space to gather as a large group or go to another area to be alone. We would love a reason to come back.

Girl trip on the lake

Fun spot! Very easily living quarters! Lots of bedrooms and space for multiple families or a group of friends. The marina is very close and you can rent a boat easily. The house is fully stocked. Especially the kitchen so it is easy to host guests and cook. Very cozy!

Mixed blessing

This was to be the first time in about 5 years that our family would all be together. We were so excited! We walked in to a 92 degree house in August!The upstairs was 90 but we were able to cool it off, but the lower level where all activities take place stayed between 84 and 88 degrees! We could not use the master downstairs and the First upstairs BR had no vent, so it stayed hot. We just doubled up in the upstairs rooms with some sleeping on the floor. The AC downstairs was broken, and even though the owner kept saying they were trying to get it fixed over the weekend, we all finally left a day early. That being said, we had a good time being together. Of course, we had to use the kitchen, which was like an oven, even though we’d precooked some of our food. The freezer in the frig was very slow to freeze, and the dish washer leaked. There was more, but overall we managed by drinking a lot of water which the hostess provided, and staying mostly on the lake. Martha, the host, was responsive and concerned and seemed to really try, but since we had an arrival time, this problem could have been solved before we got there. (A Nest thermostat would have given her access via her phone to the AC). The beds and bath were clean. The lake was clear, and we made sure to follow the house rules and leave the home as we found it. Martha offered us an additional stay later, but because our family is from all over, that wouldn’t work. A partial refund is reasonable to compensate for not being able to use the home as described. I have been in touch with Nicholas at VRBO about a refund who said I’d be contacted in 24-48 hours. That was 5 days ago and still haven’t heard anything. We we’re disappointed but made the best of the time for as long as we could stand.

Relaxing Getaway

Great house, lots of room and space for large gatherings. Easy access to lake and short distance to the Fort Worth Nature Center. Perfect location for a getaway closer to home!

Amazing house and host

We stayed here with a group of high school students for a convention in ft. Worth. This house was absolutely perfect for our group. Plenty of space, great location to downtown ft worth and the lake, plus the best host we could have asked for. Martha was in touch before the trip to make sure we had everything we needed and was amazing at checking on us throughout the week without being bothersome. We loved our experience here and hope that when we come back, we can stay here again.

Great 4th of July getaway

Great for large gatherings.

House is great for large family or friends gathering. Beach is nice, great for little ones as it slopes out a good ways before getting deep. Beach has no shade. We took a pop-up canopy, which worked well. Would stay here again.

House was plenty big with a great patio area in the back. Kitchen has everything you'll ever need. Had a little problem with a circuit breaker popping and Martha took care of it within the hour. Nice place to stay, very comfortable.

Perfect Friend Reunion Weekend

We couldn't have asked for a better weekend stay! All of the girls could not stop praising how much they enjoyed the house. Martha was so attentive and got back to me quickly any time I had a question. We came for a low profile bachelorette weekend and that's exactly what we got, a place to catch up with good friends we haven't seen in a while in a very scenic space. The lake access is beautiful, the porch was perfect for hanging out and telling stories, and there was more than enough space for all of us to hang out inside. Super comfy beds and beautiful natural light. If we decide to stay in this area in the future we will definitely be rebooking.

Fun Lake House

We enjoyed our week at this home. Martha is so easy to communicate with, quick to respond and super kind and helpful. The beds are really comfy and there is plenty of furniture for everyone to gather around and have fun. We loved having family meals at the big dining table, and also fires on the patio in the evening. The beach needs a little TLC, but Martha provides fun paddle boards and a peddle boat, and the cove is quiet, with a nice sand shelf for the kids to wade and play in. We found a resident turtle too, and named him Tuck! :-) This home is a comfortable place to gather together as a family.
