Wonderful Getaway

My family and I spent four days at this property. The check-in process was a breeze and we were even able to check-in early. That was a sweet treat! The house was completely walkable to the access point. We drove down and unloaded the gear and then drove our vehicle back to not have to carry everything. We ended up cooking every night at the house. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary items. However, the knives were very dull and the non-stick pots were chipping. The pool was also another perk! We loved having a pool and spent many more hours in it after hours at the beach. I would add caution - many of the tiles surrounding the pool need to be re-cemented. Overall, would stay again! Thank you for sharing your home!

Lovely Restful Cottage

We enjoyed our restful stay! The amenities around the area were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the house pool and the bikes. We will definitely be back.

Rundown & POORLY maintained

This is a first for me…I travel frequently and never leave a review on property. I read reviews and usually roll my eyes at the one “bad review” lol. So please understand this is not to complain but rather to give you an honest, factual description of our experience. Our family had high hopes for our stay at Serenity Cottage! Location=✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️ Interior Decor=cute! 4 Bikes=great bonus! But thats about it…. Upon arrival we were greeted by large cobwebs and spiders covering the front door & porch. The beds…all 3 mattresses were extremely uncomfortable!! (When you take off the linens at the end of your stay you will visibly see the worn areas) The washing machine makes a loud screeching sound The exterior, the BIGGEST disappointment, is rundown & POORLY maintained!! -weeds growing in the brick pavers around the pool -yard is covered with dry pine straw and weeds-some weeds are over 3 ft tall -numerous loose and broken bricks around the pool (this was a hazard for the kids) -pool was more like a hot tub-scorching hot!! -2 of the 4 lounge chairs were broken -yard was infested with spiders. ants, frogs and even a snake. Some of these things were reported by another client in a review on June 18, 2024 & nothing was done about the issues. I spoke with Cheryl at Kismet Properties to report the issues…someone came to sweep the cobwebs off the front door quickly but nothing else was taken care off. Really expected more and quite disappointed in the house :(

Great location within walking distance to the beach. Private pool a huge plus. House well maintained and decorated. A few minor maintenance issues but would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Interior Home - outside pool area needs some work

Our stay at the property was nice, with easy access to the beach. The interior of the house was beautiful and very clean. Having your basic spices would have been nice for meal preparation. The pool itself was wonderful and very clean. However, the outside of the pool needs work. When we arrived, there were a ton of weeds all along the concrete and the umbrella stand. There were also a ton of weeds growing under the table and chairs. There were beautiful large pots on each side of the pool. Unfortunately, nothing but weeds were growing out of the pots. We notified the property manager of the weeds upon our arrival. They were responsive and had some come out 48 hours later to clean up all the weeds.

Great week at the beach

This was a great house to stay in for our family of four! It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The kids loved the pool and it was a relatively quick walk to the beach. We would stay here again.

Great Location - Central to everything

This cottage was in a great location - centrally located to Rosemary Beach, Seaside, etc. Bikes were provided - which was great, but we didn't get to use them. We had breakfast and lunch in most days bc we were working from home during the day. Dinners were all out, which was most appropriate due to the lack of cooking (pots and pans). Do not plan on cooking unless you purchase everything needed, including oil/spices/etc. The cottage was so cute and comfy. Great for a small family.

Property was very clean and was better than advertised. The owner and property manager were very responsive and helpful. The house has been updated and the beds were very comfortable. The outdoor areas were so nice. We are looking to book again!

Peaceful and clean

Amazing family vacation!

This house and location is so perfect for a family who wants a private laid back and chill beach vacation. The beach is a super short walk and was never too crowded. The house fits a family of 4 very comfortably and the pool was so nice. The beds were comfortable and the decor was very cute and classy. I would love to stay again!

Couldn’t be happier!

We were looking for a kid friendly home with a pool and this was a home run! The fenced in back yard kept the little ones from wandering, and I think they spent more time in the pool than anywhere else. The house is in a great neighborhood, and is beautifully updated. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for all of our cooking. We will be back again soon!

Amazing!

We’ve stayed in numerous rentals in the Destin/30A area over the years, and this was by far the BEST. Beautiful house, perfect location and incredible pool!! We had a minor issue with the air conditioning, but the property manager was super responsive and the issue was resolved within hours. We will be back next time we vacation in 30A!

This was a wonderful location. Loved the house the pool. The only slip up was we did not receive the door code and had to call in when we arrived to get the information. The only key code we received was for the beach walkway.

Labor Day Weekend Trip.... Construction next door?

When we pulled up to the house, we were greeted by a porta potty at the driveway. 2 houses were being remodeled, how are we to relax with ALL of the noise? The house itself, very cute! The front door could have used a little paint as it appeared very dirty. Entering the home, was lovely as seen in the pics, decor and overall reno design very beach suitable and savy. House well equipped with blankets, small appliances and dimmerware etc. Grill had no propane, called property management and staff came right away and replaced propane. Awesome! Contacted them later about pool lighting and nothing. No response! The pool was cute! The construction work being done next door while you are trying to float and umwind, not cute! This went on for 3 days of the 5 days we were to stay, we left a day early. Playing board games later that night and noticed several cob webs in corners where walls met ceiling and dust or perhaps mold at air vents 🤯 Disappointing! During our stay several power outages occured possible it was from storms or all of the power tools however it knocked out power to secondary bedroom tv. Contacted Property Management via text as i had previously and NO response. Tv didnt work the next 3 days. I guess nor did Property Management, however Escapes Property Management several houses down from Serenity was...... The area itself was amazing, its the beach I have wanted to visit for 10 years and 30A did not disappoint! I had much greater expectations for our VRBO rental but it missed the mark.

Lovely home and location

This was an excellent trip for my girlfriends and I! The home was very cute and had all We needed. It was stylish and updated and the pool was five stars. What was even better was the location. We were a short walk from the beach and not far from dining and shopping. The only issue we had was that the back door alarm( for the pool) was broken and kept activating. We were able to remedy and the property managers were responsive. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

We Wish.........

We wish we could have extended our stay at this property. It is in an outstanding location on a nice quite street. The deeded access was nice and super easy to get to, with a couple of parking spots for golf carts. The house was exactly as pictured and is well appointed and homey. The covered porch was nice to relax and watch the rain storms. We wish we had a second week.
