Welcome to the Squirrel's Nest

Our peaceful camp is right on Ebeemee Lake with beautiful views of the water and local wildlife. We're close to both the ATV trails and have access to ITS snowmobile trails right from camp. Fishing all year round, swimming, kayaking, hunting and hiking are a few adventures that await you.

Short drive to Baxter State Park, Mount Katahdin, Gulf Hagas, Katahdin Iron Works, the start of the Appalachian trail and a local shooting pit. We are also a short drive from the Brownsville Deer Pantry. One hour drive from Bangor.

Extra amenities include access to private boat launch, heated garage, gas grill and RV carport with electric hookup. We have several games and DVDs available for everyone of all ages.

This cabin is very spacious and seems newly renovated. The view of the lake is spectacular for watching eagles and loons up close. The kayaking and fishing is lots of fun for young and old.

Cabin is right on Ebeemee lake...made for great views to wake up to! Place was as described with everything you could need! Lake is great for fishing!

We loved our winter stay at the Squirrel's Nest! The wood stove and heat kept us quite cozy and the morning view of the sunrise over the frozen lake was unbeatable. Already thinking about a return trip!

Great trip

We had wonderful stay. Beautiful location and clean and tidy. It feels like a home away from home. Relaxing days and nights spent out by the fire pit. We will definitely be back again.

The Great North Maine Woods

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. So much to do, from the lake to the north Maine woods. We saw lots of wild life and enjoyed hiking and riding the trails. We would definitely stay here again.

The camp was very well equipped and had plenty of bedroom space. It's location was quiet and scenic. The waterfront area worked well for fishing off the dock and accommodating our the kayak, paddle board and motor boat that we brought from home. This wonderful property made our week stay at the lake a very fun and a relaxing one!

February vacation

We had a great time snowmobiling out of the cabin. The trails were easily accessible off the lake or going down the road. We had a great time and will be staying again.

Perfect secluded getaway

Just what we were looking for. Other members of out group thank me for picking such a nice place Kayaked from the dock, hiked Gulf Hagas, and visited/dined with our friends in Millinocket. We enjoyed ourselves

Perfect

We loved staying at “The Squirrels Nest”. It was an old time feel but with all the amenities. Beautiful view from the front porch and plenty of room! Well stocked and so many games and movies available! Can’t wait to go back

The perfect Maine lakeside getaway

This cabin was beautifully decorated and very clean. Private and wonderfully quiet. Coffee at sunrise on the dock or deck listening to the loons. Kayaking and fishing everyday. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin.

Cozy cabin at a beautiful spot at the lake

The location was astonisching with a stunning view over the lake. The cabin was cozy, cleaned up and offered a lot of privacy. It is near Baxter State Park and Gulf Hagas. The cabin and its location was truly beyond our expactations. A good place to relax and perfect place to return to after a nice outdoorday.

Family Getaway

This trip was perfect from the cozy well-stocked cabin to the quiet area. We can’t say enough about this cabin on the lake, it was everything and more than we could have hoped for. Sherry was very accommodating and quick to respond when needed. We enjoyed kayaking and listening to the loons on the lake. We would love to return in the future.

Brothers’ Weekend Getaway

Rented this cabin for my husband and his 2 brothers to have a guys’ weekend. They loved the bedrooms and large living area. They fished off the shore, and played games at the large table, as it rained most of the weekend. They had a great time, and found it very relaxing. The host was very responsive and helpful. We are thinking of returning sometime for a couples’ weekend!

A Slice of Heaven

Our stay at the Squirrel’s Nest was top notch! We found that it was very clean and inviting. We felt very welcomed and were provided useful information about the area. Sherry was always available and the checkin process went very smooth. We enjoyed the lake and especially kayaking. Our family had a truly relaxing and refreshing week. We look forward to coming back to a slice of heaven!
