Overall another relaxing stay at Schoodic. Weather was excellent throughout and lots of fun with family.

Location is great and the lake is beautiful. The cabin could be spectacular if updated and cleaned/maintained better. I think the multiple house rules (no shoes in cabin, limited well water) should also be mentioned in the listing so people know what they are getting into. We had a really bad ladybug and cluster fly infestation that I think is due to the upstairs bedroom windows having gaps. They were crawling on everything and it made our stay pretty miserable. I am used to rural/off grid vacations, so not picky at all. But I expected more for what we paid.

We really enjoyed the cabin with its large windows, lake access, and fireplace. Bring your own camp chairs and be prepared to clean before settling in.

We had a great stay here! This is a lovely cabin in a little neighborhood, but still feels private. We brought our canoe and kayaks and were on the water a lot. Entry is very shallow and kid friendly. Our kiddo caught his first fish right off the dock! Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms were very clean. Common areas a bit less so. This cabin feels like staying at a friends house. There is a Trade Winds/Hannaford grocery store about 15 mins away in Milo — we brought all our food but could have saved space and just shopped there. There’s a lovely heated mudroom — excellent for winter, but in the summer a laundry drying rack or hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful for drying swimsuits and towels. The cabin was comfortable temperature wise, but fans in the bedrooms would have been welcome as well. Kitchen is incredibly well stocked with pots, pans, utensils. Many chairs on the deck, along with a picnic table. Overall, really fantastic. We’d absolutely go back.

Had a great family get away here! Made lots of use of the dock with our boat, as well as kayaking in the cove. Great sunrises and sunsets!

Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay. It was very peaceful. We enjoyed the beautiful setting and kayaking on the lake. Plenty of privacy and excellent views of the lake from inside. Very clean as well. Thank you for a great stay!

My family had an awesome time and we enjoyed every time we stay at this beautiful place!! We can’t wait to go back next year!! I’ve been coming to Maine ever since I was a young kid and my family have roots here at Schoodic lake and I want my family to have the best vacation like I always did !! Awesome cabin in beautiful schoodic lake. We had a great time and everything was easy with the property manager. Only downside was the security system cameras were on and active during our stay which left a feeling of distrust and breach of privacy. Despite this, would stay here again.
